Obama has been in a presidential campaign that has consumed nearly every minute of his attention for over 15 months. Running for president isnt the walk in the park YOU think it is. While running for the highest office in the land isnt remotely as dangerous and heroic and could never compare to serving in a war overseas, the tour in Iraq and Afghanistan is about 15 months. Obama is showing some leadership by taking his vacation every 15 months like our throops overseas. Isnt he a great guy??? Vote for Obama 2008!!!! - Reply to this comment

- in accord with the retired General that Bill Clinton''s comments in North Carolina was suggesting that Obama is unpatriotic. Here is my reason. If his comments were to the contrary, then the three presidential candidates are undisputed patriots. The statement, "I think it would be a great thing if we had an election year where you had two people who loved this country and were devoted to the interest of this country," is only meaningful if two of the three are patriotic, and the other is not. It would be absurd that Hillary is unpatriotic. And to insinuate that war-hero McCain is unpatriotic is political suicide. Who is left outside the circle of patriotism? In the aftermath of the Jeremiah Wright Controversy, which of the three candidates has been portrayed by association as being unpatriotic? The answer is painfully obvious.

- HILLARY TAKES THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO BE FOOLS
I for one am sick of Hillary Clintons lies, she will say anything to win the nomination.
First she strenuously denies that she was pro NAFTA and beat Obama over the head with it time and time again in the run up to the Ohio primary. Now that the White House schedules have been released, they reveal that she held several high profile meetings to endorse NAFTA.
Second she tells outright lies about her visit to Bosnia - during campaigning she is stating that on a visit to Bosnia she avoided sniper fire on arrival and cancelled an airport ceremony and ran heads down to a car to escape. The news channels have caught her out on this and show video footage of her calmly greeting people at the arrival ceremony and listening to a child recite a poem. A quick search on YouTube under CLINTON BOSNIA LIE will show you what really happened. - Reply to this comment
- PEOPLE WITH NOTHING TO HIDE DONT USUALLY HIDE !!
Why wont Hillary release her tax returns? If Hillary can loan 5 million dollars to her campaign then surely the voters have a right to know the source of her funding.
The main excuse we''ve gotten so far is that Hillary Clinton just has too much on her plate. "I''m a little busy right now," she said during the Ohio debate. "I hardly have time to sleep. But I will certainly work toward releasing, and we will get that done and in the public domain."
That was three weeks ago. Two weeks ago, Howard Wolfson promised the returns would be released "on or around April 15." But weren''t the returns completed and filed a long time ago? Doesn''t Clinton''s accountant have time to print them out and make some copies (note to Clinton''s accountant: many Kinko''s are open 24 hours).
In short, it''s well past time for Hillary Clinton to be as "vetted" as she claims to already be -- and to have this vetting done now by Democratic voters rather than later by GOP hit squads. She needs to live up to the standard she laid out for Rick Lazio, the opponent in her 2000 Senate race. At that time, she hypocritically said it was "FRANKLY DISTURBING" that Lazio was holding back on releasing his tax returns and she even sent a staffer dressed as Uncle Sam to taunt him during campaign stops.
What a difference eight years -- and tens of millions of dollars (some of them from questionable Arab deals) -- can make. - Reply to this comment
- I''m not sure which is worst, Sen. Hillary Clinton going all the way back to Sen. Obama''s grade school claiming he wanted to be President back then or people going back 7 years to find a negative speech Rev. Wright made and pinning it on Sen. Obama, the speech is not even current, 7 years ago! In both cases its nothing but a smear campaign and it looks desperate and pathetic if you want to know the truth and those pushing it were never going to support Sen. Obama anyway and can at least find "dirt" more up to date and current!

- I am proud to be an American. I proudly display the American flag. I choke up with deep emotion when I hear the national anthem sung (especially when sung by LeAnne Rhymes). At public functions when the anthem is played...I stand up, face the flag and put my hand over my heart as a sign of respect and pride.
Barack Obama talks the talk...but I don''t see any display of pride from him for the country he wants to be the leader of. I see him as a wolf in sheep''s clothing and the poor sheep are blinded by his eloquent speeches. Sheep Beware!

Some of these folks on here could rationalize the Empire state building away. You missed the point, she can''''t catch him in delegates. You think what you want about us.BTW,I''''m not a democrat,I''''m an independent. We''''re magic.Watch us disappear when she steals the nomination, along with all of the disillusioned young potential democrats.

No. You miss the point. If it''s impossible for Clinton to get more delegate votes than Obama, then why not let the process work its way through? Of course that''s a rhetorical question on my part since you think that the superdelegates should be required to vote for Obama. But that''s not the rules. Sorry, but Obama needs 2025 electoral votes. It would not be impossible for him to do so if Florida and Michigan were to revote, but, of course he was opposed to such a revote because he''s ahead. All I can say is too bad, get over it. He needs 2025 delegatge votes. If Obama has such an overwhelming lead that he and his supporters claim, then it shouldn''t be a problem for him to pick up the few superdelegate votes that he would need. Obama and his supporters want to pick and choose which rules should count. Just because the superdelegate rules may or may not be favorable to Obama is no reason to ignore them. - Reply to this comment

- In most modern United States presidential primaries, the Democratic nominee is known well in advance of the official nomination at the Democratic National Convention. Typically, a presumptive nominee emerges when one candidate receives a majority of the available pledged delegates and superdelegates, and all other candidates drop out of the race.
If no candidate receives a clear majority of delegates, the party may head into the convention without a nominee. This is known as a brokered convention. The nominee is then determined by a series of floor votes at the convention, which may be preceded by negotiations among the party leaders and candidates. Pledged delegates and superdelegates may switch their support, and negotiations continue until one candidate receives a majority of votes. The last brokered Democratic convention was in 1952.
Sometimes the term %u201Cbrokered convention%u201D is used loosely to refer to any process by which party leaders negotiate among themselves to bring an end to the nominating process. For example, in 2008, if neither of the candidates were to receive a majority of delegates by the final primaries on June 3, party leaders could step in to broker a deal by which superdelegates could come together to provide clear support for a candidate before the August 25 convention

- Sorry, that''''s not a good enough reason to disenfranchise me or anyone else. If Obama and his supporters can not handle the fact that it takes 2025 delegates to get the nomination, that''''s their problem. It''''s the Obama supporters who are tearing the Democratic party apart by insisting that Hillary quit before Obama has earned the required number of 2025 delegate votes. Obama does not have a right to be handed the nomination. He must earn the required 2025 delegate votes. Too bad, but that''''s the rules.

She can''''''''t catch him in the popular vote,or the delegate lead. It''''''''s an excersize in futility, and it is damaging Obamas''''''''chance.Did you read what truth posted that I commented on?It''''''''s serious sshit, and Hillary is playing with peoples lives now.

Obama has no chance of reaching enough votes to win the nomination if Hillary does not drop out.
It is going to go down to the Superdelegates..........who may after watching Obama''s support fall into the big black hole that has just appeared will be forced to make tuff decisions.
I didn''t think it was possible before, but I can''t believe the dems have found someone more hated than even Hillary. Eeek...Obama is unelectable, Hell he may even be in jail by November giving his scams are coming to light.- Reply to this comment
