Democratic Candidate Condemns Pastor's Divisive Remarks, But Says He Cannot "Disown" Him
- Like all relevant organizations, the ACLU has evolved. And I am sorry, but you are just showing your ignorance when you say it protects terrorists, etc. Its sole purpose is to protect the Bill of Rights. If not for them, when a government wanted to limit your free speech because they don''t agree with you, you would have limited resources to fight such a ban. They may not agree with the philosophy of the people or organizations that have had their rights usurped, but they will defend and protect the Bill of Rights. A democracy and republic cannot exist if certain segments of the population has their rights denied. Remember, the pendulum swings. If someone or some government tried to censure you they would rigorously defend your right to make all the silly statements you have made today.

-That is a lie. A revision of history to support the atheist agenda.
Here''s what George Washington really said:
"He was a sincere believer in the Christian faith and a truly devout man."
{Quote by John Marshall [Revolutionary General, Secretary of State, U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice]}
"To the character of hero and patriot, this good man added that of Christian. Although the greatest man upon earth, he disdained not to humble himself before his God and to trust in the mercies of Christ."
{Quote by Gunning Bedford, signer of the Constitution}
"The name of American, belongs to you%u2026[and] with slight shades of difference, you have the same religion."
--George Washington in his Farewell Address to the American people, Paragraph 10; September 17, 1796 | photo of farewell address
"What students would learn in American schools above all is the religion of Jesus Christ."
--George Washington in a speech to the Delaware Indian Chiefs May 12, 1779
"It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and Bible."
"It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favors." - Reply to this comment

SEN. BARACK OBAMA (D-IL), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: Well, first of all, Anderson, you know, I strongly condemn the statements that have been shown on the tape.
I have to confess that those are not statements that I ever heard when I was sitting in the pews at this church. This is a church that I have been a member of for 20 years. This is a well-established, typical, historically African-American church in the South Side of Chicago, with a wonderful set of ministries.
In his book from my father chapter 14 Obama speaks of heraing sermons where write spoke of heroshima Page 293 and also says he agrred with church blacl creed page page 284
So why would I trust him now, I did once but cant now. - Reply to this comment
- pfd572, again sir, it appears you are either incapable of reading or you''re simply ignoring these stated goals of the ACLU straight from it''s PUBLISHED policies!!:
Following are some of the stated goals of the ACLU, from its own published Policy Issues:
the legalization of prostitution (Policy 211);
the defense of all pornography, including CHILD PORN, as "free speech" (Policy 4);
the decriminalization and legalization of all drugs (Policy 210);
the promotion of homosexuality (Policy 264);
the opposition of rating of music and movies (Policy 18);
opposition against parental consent of minors seeking abortion (Policy 262);
opposition of informed consent preceding abortion procedures (Policy 263);
opposition of spousal consent preceding abortion (Policy 262);
opposition of parental choice in children''s education (Policy 80)
And you''re telling me you agree with all these things????
Are you out of your bloody mind? - Reply to this comment

- FACT: Baldwin denounced Communist theories later in life.
FACT: At the time American was colonized for Religious Freedom the Anglican Church was the State church of England, not Catholic. Catholic Church was deposed as the State Religion in 1534, long before the mass emigration for religious freedoms.
FACT: Washington, Jefferson and Franklin questioned the concept of a divine being, at best they were agnostic. They were deists. - Reply to this comment
- pfd572, evidently you''re having trouble reading. This is straight from the founder of the ACLU:
Stated Goals of the ACLU, straight from it''s founder:
The ACLU''s founder, Roger Baldwin, stated: "We are for SOCIALISM, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the state itself... We seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the SOLE CONTROL of those who produce wealth. COMMUNISM is the goal." (Source: Trial and Error, by Geo. Grant)
The ACLU is destructive to the fabric of our society. Christians must recognize Satan as the source - the instigator - when the end results of an organization''''s efforts are only "to kill, to steal, and to destroy." All we need to is examine the (rotten) fruit.
That is all. - Reply to this comment

- The mission of the ACLU is to preserve all of these protections and guarantees:
%u2022 Your First Amendment rights - freedom of speech, association and assembly; freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.
%u2022 Your right to equal protection under the law - equal treatment regardless of race, ***, religion or national origin.
%u2022 Your right to due process - fair treatment by the government whenever the loss of your liberty or property is at stake.
%u2022 Your right to privacy - freedom from unwarranted government intrusion into your personal and private affairs.
If the rights of society''s most vulnerable members are denied, everybody''s rights are imperiled. - Reply to this comment
- This country WAS NOT founded on "Biblical foundation and roots". It was founded by people ESCAPING the church of England.

-So what''s your rebuttal, that is was somehow founded on "Athiest roots" sir? As if there are any.
You are correct, they came here to escape "religious" persecution from the church of England, a Catholic church at the time.
Christianity isn''t based of forcing one''s beliefs sir, it is based off freedom of your belief.
But if this is your only rebuttal to the facts about the ACLU that I just posted on here, it shows you are very desperate and lack character, purpose, and principle in your life. - Reply to this comment
