Congresswoman Says Second Primary Would Be Held On June 3 And Funded Through Party Money
- It amazes me that all these Hillary Huggers are so anxious to have a re-vote. In Michigan she was only able to garner 55% of the vote angainst NOBODY.
Florida mirrors all the other states in the union prior to true campanging occurred. If there were to be a do-over Obama would capture significantly more votes than the first time around.
This doesn''t change the basic fact that even with the re-vote Hillary will not capture the majority of pledged delegates and therefore should not get the nomination - if she gets it without that the party will splinter and lose in November anyway - Reply to this comment
- And you believe that is because Michigan and Florida don''''t count???? It''''s because of the totally assinine in fighting caused by the Clinton Campaign because she just can''''t handle the fact that she went from a gaurenteed nomination to a insurmountable deficiet in pledged delegates - IF she cared about the party - IF she cared about the country - she would get out of the way and those numbers would be considerably different. But all the Democrats are doing is showing the country they can''''t even get out of their own way.

Man, you''ve been paying to much credibility to the Mainstream media.
Hillary Clinton has been knocked up down and sideways by Obama, and the press, outspent, and yet she is still 50/50 with Obama.
Obama started the race baiting, not Hillary Clinton.
"New York State Senator Bill Perkins used quite explicit racial stereotyping in a speech aimed at discouraging his constituents from voting for Clinton by saying, Harlem "is not Bill Clinton''s backyard or his plantation. Underscore, plantation."
Does Bill Clinton own slaves? Cuz I fail to see the connection between him and a plantation?
Racist much, Obama?
And mark.my.words., Obama''s race baiting ways are coming to light, because..they''re real and obvious to people who research and are PAYING ATTENTION. - Reply to this comment

It''s a DNC rule, so they can amend it to make it more fair it if they like and they''re the ones paying the cost, so what''s the problem? - Reply to this comment

In Florida the primary that was too early was on a date chosen by the state legislature, which is controlled by the GOP. - Reply to this comment
- Obama opposes a revote. So much for "change."
Obama is a joke; nice minister you''ve got there Obama.
Your minister traveled to Tripoli with Farrakhan to meet with Khadafi in the 80''s; your minister recently gave an award to Farrakhan and praised him as a great man; you''ve been a member of his church for 20 years; he sits on on your "black religious affairs committee"; he came up with the name of your "Audacity of Hope" book; he baptized your kids.
Hillary gets tainted because of an off the cuff comment by Geraldine Ferraro, which was true (it IS about race, as plainly seen from pastor Wright''s sermons), and this guy who puts videos of his racially toned sermons and idolizes Farrakhan gets a pass.
Where was YOUR judgement Obama, for sitting in a church for 20 years with hate preaching like this?
And of course Obama is against a re-vote in Michigan; Clinton is actually willing to lose votes to make sure it''s fair for Michigan, but even though Obama could gain more votes, he chooses to not take the chance and continues to disenfranchise the voters. - Reply to this comment
- "A re-vote in both states is the only fair solution so let''''s get on with it.
Posted by SgtRDS at 03:11 PM : Mar 14, 2008"
Why should there be a fair solution? Both states Dem party leaders took it upon themselves to move up their polling dates with the express intent of giving themselves a greater effect on the election. This attempt backfired and made them look stupid, now they want a do-over...how convenient. Where''s the do-over for the other states who played fair? I guess in your book it''s ok to break the rules. - Reply to this comment
- Bottom Line;
Obama - 48% chance of victory in Novemeber because traditional party members have lived by majority rules in the past
Clinton - 25% chance of victory in November beacause all the new people and energy Obama has brought to the party will dissapate like a hole in a balloon - Reply to this comment
- "Rassmussen today:
The General Election is essentially tied no matter who the Democrats nominate. It%u2019s McCain 45% Obama 44% and McCain 46% Clinton 44% (see recent daily results). In both match-ups, McCain enjoys more unified support from Republicans than his opponents do from Democrats.

Um yea, I like how you decided not to post the other national polls, nice cherry picking.
Gallup Tracking - Obama 46 McCain 44
NBC/WSJ - Obama 47 McCain 44
Newsweek - Obama 46 McCain 45
I guess you have to take what you can get when the primary concern of your nominee is whether he can make it through the day without $hitting himself. - Reply to this comment

You''d think they would have thought of that a year ago when the Michigan Dem party intentionally disenfranchised their own people. Must be nice to simply have a do-over when you make a stupid decision, wish I could do that. - Reply to this comment

Except that he didn''t, that''s simply not true. Obama never called Geraldine Ferraro a racist in fact he said exactly the opposite. You''d know that if you''d bother to read what he actually said as opposed to listening to the verbal vomit from people like Rush Limpdrug. - Reply to this comment
why bother look McCain wins, its true but the Dems used a shot gun this time a blew their foot off you have to wonder why they would ever ever put this forth:
Obama told the Pittsburg Tribune-Review, "I haven''t seen the line. This is a pastor who is on the brink of retirement who in the past has made some controversial statements. I profoundly disagree with some of these statements."
But he defended Rev. Wright''s overall record, accusing ABC News of "cherry picking" statements of the man with a 40-year career.
"There are times when people say things that are just wrong. But I think it''s important to judge me on what I''ve said in the past and what I believe," he told the paper.
This after attacking threatening a fellow white dem the other day a white 71 year old female as racist because she belived his resume was thin, with and extensive record on civil rights issue.....
...............Rev Wright belives that the KKK control America- Reply to this comment
- I agree with the last two posters, fleura & craigh9.
This is ridiculous! They know what the rules are, they agreed with them, and they broke them. So, they shouldn''t expect to be seated! If the citizens there are unhappy about it, voice it on your politicians the next time you vote!
So, Florida, kindly get out of the way of the rest of the nation---Michigan,too---and let''s move forward.
No one has disenfranchised you, but your own political leaders! - Reply to this comment
- This is as stupid as can get and making the Dems look like a bunch of weirdos. Florida and Michigan are out of this race and should sit and wait for the final presidential debate. Between Barack and McCain. Then again...Floridans and Michigans are not known for being the brainiest of people.
Chances are they Florida and Michigan both have their own party that no one else is aware of. In that instance, party one Florida and Mich. - Reply to this comment
