Comments on: Obama Tries To Smooth Jewish-Black Ties
Democratic Candidate Working Hard To Counteract Unease Among Some Jewish Voters
- Bretster7,
OBAMA is running for president; Rev. Wright is NOT running for president. With that said, Bob Jones University''s policy was in direct conflict with the civil right laws of the land, and Rev. Wright doesn''t break any laws when he speaks, which the last time i checked was one of the freedoms all Americans were entitled to--unless you conservative types only say one thing and do another. Face it, America doesn''t need OLD man McCain or Hillary in an apron. Obama makes sense. - Reply to this comment
- BLKPRESIDENT,
You sound like a broken record. Find a new talking point. We know Rev Wright is not running for pres. You don''t seem to get it. Barack Hussein Obama has repeatedly called rev wright his teacher, his spiritual advisor, and his mentor. You can not seperate the man from those he associates with, especially for the last 20 years.
You still not not comment on my post about the Dem''s in Congress putting forth a vote in 2000 to denounce Bob Jones University for it''s so called hate speach and all the media darlings were commmenting on how terrible it was for Bush to campaign there, and why he would not denojunce the university. That was one incedent this is twenty TWENTY years of mentorship.
I am sure you will come back with the same lame excuse. I bet you are one of loudest ranters when it comes to condeming Conservatives for assoiciating themselves with, and allowing endorsements from the Pat Robertsons of the world. Pat Robertson can not hold a candle to racist venom that spews forth from the mouth of the rev Wright. Now that the heat is on your guy, you say it is no big deal. You can''t have it both ways. - Reply to this comment
- The issue of race doesn''t seem to die in this campaighn season. Geraldine Ferraro, when she made the statement that Obama would not be where he is if he were White, was countered by Obama, who said that his skin color and his name are deficits he has to overcome. Race just won''t go away. Obama has to explain his support for the Jewish people, and try to reestablish their relationship with the Black community. These types of meetings need to take place more than just this one time; they should be ongoing. But as stories have developed, race will not escape Obama, not during this campaign. And not with statements made by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, as the media dug into his Old Sermons to find what he thinks about America''s historical and current policies. Race hits a raw nerve in this country like no other, and even when Obama Becomes President, Race will play a part in his leadership. The question ''does he have what it takes'' will dog him until 2016, because Race will have fueled almost all of the questions.

BLKPRESIDENT is a racist. Our election should not be about gender, ***, age, or religion. He is way out there. just ignore him. - Reply to this comment
- jason0randon,
The only Kool-Aid out there is made by FOXNews and everyone dumb enough to believe that a presidential candidate is responsible for what his pastor stands for. Rev. Wright is NOT running for president here. - Reply to this comment
- truth-hurts,
There you go again--blamin g Blacks and Obam for my remarks or his pastor''s remarks. I''m not running for president nor his Obama''s pastor. So, simply judge Obama on what he does and says--not his pastor or me.
You know if Obama was White we wouldn''t be having this discussion because it''s crystal clear that he is head and shoulders above that woman and OLD man. - Reply to this comment
- jason_randon,
Obama is running for president--not his pastor. What don''t you understand about the difference between the two? Guess some people are running scared because Obama is clearly more viable than a woman or an OLD man. It''s not Obama''s fault Hilary is a woman and OLD man McCain is simply way too old. Dump the pastor argument and discuss real issues here like OLD age and how many times White House staffers may find Hillary standing over the White House kitchen stove baking cookies as oppose to handling the affairs of state. If Obama was White, we wouldn''t even be having this discussion because a mere woman or OLD man cannot handle the presidency. Geritol and denture cream anyone? - Reply to this comment
- BLKPRESIDENT,
I guess you sound like you had way too much of Hussein''s Kool Aide and share some of his cocaine with Obama. - Reply to this comment
- Bretster,
You''re misinformed; Pastor Wright is NOT one of Obama''s advisers. Speak the truth or identify yourself as Geraldine Ferraro and it''ll be understandable why you write what you write. Face it dude, America won''t let a woman be president, nor an OLD man. Obama, NOT his pastor, is the right choice. - Reply to this comment
- BLKPRESIDENT,
you just don''t get it do you? The damage is done and Hussein Obama can not turn back 20 years. - Reply to this comment
