Former VP Candidate Was Under Fire For Suggesting Obama's Success Is Only Because He's Black
- Taking every word out of context and waving it around like a racial flag certainly does lie at the Obama feet.

- b-easy63,,,, JFK & Kerry where attacked for being Catholic, & I think Bush 43 was attacked for being a wacko Born again --- But race, I think this is maybe the first in our life times.

- realpatriot, I am not sure how he gets more white votes but he needs them before the convention.
If he does not get them and it is a brokered convention, then "electability" will be the deciding factor.
Obama will be displayed as not being able to attract sufficient votes in a "General Election" since his constituency draw is fairly narrow.
I agree, Obama is running a straight campaign. The Clintons are playing the race card. - Reply to this comment
- I have to say as a white person that it''''s high time that white people stop playing the victim and start taking some personal responsibility for improving the climate.
Firing Ferraro was a good place to start.

Ferraro was not fired.
Who are the vicitims? It appears the victim is all on Obamas side. As has been the case for over 30 years!
Here is the reality - 1/2 the nation can not and will not support a woman no matter how great she may be or how qualified!
Almost all the blacks are voting number one and voting for Obama. He said when elected to Congress, that he needed to stay there and gain experience that was after being sworn in. Then in October of the same year he began running around the country campaigning for President. His total amount of experience he said he needed to gain was what 8 months?
Now he says he is more qualified? Qualified at what? He is a graduate from Law school, well so are many people, some of which I would not give a dime to practice law. Just how much experience did he gain while a state Senator? he was politicing 1/2 of the time.
You want to elect him to office. By all means do so.
as I stated before - I am fed up with the veneer!
He is but a shiny plastic coating of a man. - Reply to this comment
- mortok99,
This election IS like a prize fight. Obama has KO''d your girl Hillary, and when he unleashes the Obama shuffle on OLD man McCain, his old *** will get KO''d too. Obama is simply the world champion. McCain can retire and go back to an Arizona nursing home and Hillary can get to her duties in the kitchen. Nuff said. - Reply to this comment
- Don,,,, I''ll go as far as agreeing the media has made it a racial issue & to a few it is, more than a few since racism is far from dead im many parts of the country.
.. Bus seriously, the vast majority are more concerned with economic, health & many other domestic & war issues than race. - Reply to this comment
- Don,,,, So, you are trying to tell me now that the rules have changed because there is a black person in the race ????? ---- I don''''t think so

Yeah, when was the last time, the other candidates blasted each other and the votes they were getting for being white? Or a Jew, or a.....fill it in with your favorite group? It never seems to be an issue--except..when Bush smeared McCAin by saying his adopted daughter from Calcutta was the result of him bedding a black prostitute. (there we go using blacks as bogey men again) and it worked in destroying the McCAin momentum.
If it is Obama and McCAin, it will be interesting to see how McCAin plays it--because he knows what it is like to be attacked and smeared for being black--even if it is a lie and is black by proxy. - Reply to this comment
- You call ''em as you see ''em and I''ll call ''em as I see ''em.

I hope you''re not the umpire at my baseball game. It is hard to trust the judgement of someone who contradicts himself as much as you do.
You still never responded to my question: How can Obama have no voting record and a negative voting record at the same time? Can you clear that up for me? - Reply to this comment
- "I think that this playing of the Race card by the
Clinton campaign is CYNICAL and CALCULATED,
It appears that the Clinton campaign has thrown in
the towel on the African-American as well as the
liberal-progressive vote at large."

tsunami,
You''re on to the Clintons.
They know that most blacks and liberals in general will NEVER vote GOP, so they''re willing to trash their base to try to appeal to more moderate and conservative voters.
The Clintons know that the black voters and the liberals will still come back to Hillary and vote for her in November.
Those voters are kinda like the physically abused wife that always goes back to her abusive husband, even tho he''ll treat her like dirt again.
It''s pretty sad actually, but very shrewd of the Clintons. - Reply to this comment
- I''''ve lost count of the number of times that people affiliated with the Clinton Campaign have at the very least skirted the line with racism.
If this is all accidental and misinterpreted it indicates at the least a lack of diplomacy needed
to lead the country and does make the republicans look better than they make themselves look.

Mr. Axelrod, sure jumps on it every time and parades it around as a flag so that Mr. Obama doesn''t have to. - Reply to this comment
