prayerman3,

No one is defending Wright, not Obama or anyone else.
Wright is not part of Obama''s campaign while Rev. Hagee & the shock jock from Cincinnati have been active participants in the McCain campaign and Ferraro
was active in the Clinton campaign.

Ferraro & Hillary have done the right thing and this matter should be put to bed now.

McCain did the right thing by disavowing the shock jock but will not disassociate himself from Rev. Hatemonger.

He needs to give the Reverand some straight talk and condemn the hate.

You have to go to abcnews.com and watch the video of a sermon that The Rev. Jeremiah Wright has made a number of controversial statements. Is Obama''''s Pastor a Liability? Yes.
NOW WE KNOW WHY OBAMA WILL NOT SING OUR NATIONAL ATHEM OR PLEDGE TO THE FLAG.
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright says in his sermon not God bless America. For this Rev. to speak bad things about America in a sermon and to use the Lords name invain in his sermon brings up issues. Obama stands by his church to have no wrong doings. I have been to some churchs but I have never heard any preacher, rev. or father use the Lords name invain in a sermon.
OBAMA SHOULD DROP OUT OF THE ELECTION BECAUSE TO GO TO A CHURCH THAT AGAINST AMERICA AND PUTS AMERICA DOWN THIS BRINGS UP SOME VERY SERIOUS ISSUES.
Now I know why Obamas wife ment when noW she is proud to be American.
YOU WILL BE STUND OF WHAT YOU HEAR COMES OUT OF REV. MOUTH. GO WATCH THE VIDEO AND YOU DESIDE. Its under --- Is Obama''''s Pastor a Liability? up in the right side

In criticizing Ferraro, Obama didn''t say she was a racist. He simply called her rhetoric absurd and divisive. Obama wants the to the debate to be about substantive issues. He showed this by immediately removing the woman who called Hillary a "monster". This tells a lot about his character.

On the other hand, Ferraro has spent time in the media saying that she is being attacked because she is white. She also stated that the media is sexist. If the media is so sexist, why was she given so much airtime? Give me a break--she was criticized simply because of the statements out of her mouth (which were about her opinions on race, not about anything substantive), not because she is a woman or because she''s white.

Ferraro must have an exaggerated opinion of herself when she said that Obama better not antagonize her because he needs her to raise money for him, if he becomes the nominee. Judging by the amount of money raised by Obama, he doesn''t need her to raise money, which mostly comes from ordinary people.

I support Obama because I think it''s unhealthy for the White House to be controlled by only two families for these many years. Also, I think he has the best chance to restore respectability to the White House.

"Later, at a news conference in Chicago, Obama said he thought Ferraro''s comments about his candidacy were ridiculous, but not racist."

And that was the right thing to say.

"The Obama campaign is attacking me to hurt you. I won''t let that happen," she said in the statement."

Doesn''t really look like it, from the comment above.

Ferrero should retire people like her do not help this country at all; we are tired of the race issue, we want to solve our problems world wide and at home. Its time this country came to gether for the common good. I think that we will have that with both Senator Clinton, and Obama. Seems to me that they both need to clean up their supporters and go on what they truly believe. The Media also have a lot to do with bring up the race issue, this is so they can eventually get the Republican they want in office. But to win at all cost, even at dividing our country is just WRONG....

Ever since we''ve had a black junior senator without any national or even leading committee experience jumping into the race it''s don''t say anything or your a racist. But if we''d had a white junior senator without any national or even leading committee experience jumped into the race from either party he''d be promptly dropped from the lists. With Senator Obama''s credentials, it''s indisputable that he''s where he is because of who and what he is. It''s not inherently bad, but it is the reasonable truth. But the fun hasn''t started yet, folks. Wait until after he''s elected and see how all the racial tip-toeing will create a whole new dance for the media and the population in general. Instead of "Don''t ask don''t tell", it''ll be "Don''t complain they''ll wail".

In her 2000 campaign for the Senate, Hillary Clinton''''s campaign demanded her opponent release his tax returns and even sent a staffer dressed as Uncle Sam to taunt him during campaign stops. Today she refuses to release hers. Makes you wonder what crooked and shady characters have been contributing to her funds.
Don%u2019t be afraid Hillary, release your tax returns and let us vet you.

She is just using a tried and true Clinton dodge just like Bill:

"I DID NOT HAVE TAX WITH THAT MAN - - - UNCLE SAM"

not so long ago, they told that a black man couldn''t be a president, and now they say that Obama will be president, because he is black...

It''s not about black or white, it''s about good or bad, that''s all

n the U.S. Senate, he has focused on tackling the challenges of a globalized, 21st century world with fresh thinking and a politics that no longer settles for the lowest common denominator. His first law was passed with Republican Tom Coburn, a measure to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how and where every dime of their tax dollars is spent. He has also been the lead voice in championing ethics reform that would root out Jack Abramoff-style corruption in Congress.
Senator Obama has fought to help Illinois veterans get the disability pay they were promised, while working to prepare the VA for the return of the thousands of veterans who will need care after Iraq and Afghanistan. Recognizing the terrorist threat posed by weapons of mass destruction, he traveled to Russia with Republican *** Lugar to begin a new generation of non-proliferation efforts designed to find and secure deadly weapons around the world. And knowing the threat we face to our economy and our security from America''s addiction to oil, he''s working to bring auto companies, unions, farmers, businesses and politicians of both parties together to promote the greater use of alternative fuels and higher fuel standards in our cars.

i, my husband and three friends are voting for Obama

My daughters and son are volunteers.

vote for Obama, OBAMA 08!!!!

Hillary makes ridiculous claims that she is tried and tested in over 80 countries. As the wife of a visiting US President she simply tried and tested various tea and cookie offerings but she never negotiated anything, in fact she did not even have security clearance. By Hillary%u2019s childlike reasoning this means Laura Bush is also tried and tested to be President or that the wife of a brain surgeon is qualified to operate on people!!

Hillary may have answered the White House phone at 3am but I am sure the callers always said CAN I SPEAK TO YOUR HUSBAND PLEASE!!

i always see the glass as half full. in the present situation, many students cannot afford to go to college so most likely if they cant find jobs break the law. YOUR TAX MONEY is used to keep the streets safe, maintain the jails and so many other things.

these are christians who believe in Jesus, i have seen the website and try to support themselves in all the possible ways

i wonder if you would have the same reaction against the leb and ***
We are all Americans and its time we put our differences aside at this critical moment and restore America

PS: And, I must add, Obama isn''t asking for these ignorant remarks, but he is calmly remarking about them when asked. He is showing a personal dignity that I haven''t seen in a candidate for decades.

He is calm, and cool. Why? Because he is THAT intelligent. He doesn''t have to use insults, harsh words, or mean spirited ego trips. He is in control, he is wise, he is ABOVE the frey in politics.

He is standing as a man who has a wish to help our people, and our Nation, and the world.

He CAN do this, if we let him. He''ll be able to unite our Country, and the world. He is SO respectable, he will be listened to.

Gee, let''s quit jumping all over him, and take that SAME time to learn about him.

Knowledge is Power!!!

You know, to the people who keep pounding on Obama, saying he is this, that, or the other, ... blaming him for all kinds of things, like "having others do his dirty work?" What in the heck is THAT supposed to mean? Don''t you know, ALL politicians, no matter who or where, do THAT for a living. I''m not saying it''s right, but it''s the RULE. THAT is why they ARE politicians!

From "City Dog Catcher" and beyond ... stinking politics is never perfect, as these wanna be''s claw their way to their dreams of power.

I''ll BET, if ''crtoo'' had an opportunity to sit down with Obama, he may find out he''s not such a "bad guy" after all. Geeeeze! Why say such nasty things about Obama, when you really don''t know the man personally? Isn''t that backstabbing, and dirty work, too?

Try to get to know him, and then go buy an Obama bumper sticker! You''ll be glad you did!

Now, you don''t think Hillary''s gal "Geraldene" wasn''t doing some dirty work? Like a "lady" ... Hillary has apologized. Fake, yes, but she said she was sorry. Her next trick? Swallowing Jello, and letting it come back out through her nose! She can do that too, I''ll bet. THE CIRCUS CONTINUES.

Irishwench,

I said what I said in the spirit of respect, but guess you and Hillary have the same problem understanding reality from your own personal projections. Nevertheless, your pride in your heritage is admirable. Having said that, the only thing Hillary has left is luck, whether it''s Irish or otherwise. As far as my attitude in the natural order of things go, male to female, all woman I have encountered would rather bake for me than bake me. Too bad you and Hillary don''t know a good thing when it''s right in front of you. She should just leave and join Martha Stewart''s cooking show, and let Obama steam-roll OLD man McCain. She can simply try again in 2016 when the country is ready for a female president, which isn''t Obama''s or my fault the country is not prepared for that in 2008, Irishwench. Keep your apron close.
