I thought the bible, at least the new testament was written by the Apostles. who lived and followed Jesus during His short life on earth.The jews are still waiting for the Chosen one to come to earth, they do not believe in the new testament. Their religious practices are based on the old testament.

It is something I read about on BBC. Apparently they prefer to call this a non-realistic version of Christianity, rather than Christian atheism. They say that they do believe in God, but not in a fairy tale way.

There are lots of things that are not in the bible that Christians of all sects do all the time, does that make all Christians who have observances that might differ from your strict interpretation non-Christian? I would think most Christians would think your extreme view a little silly.

I''m not arguing that they are responsible for the bible, I''m arguing that they are the first organized Christian religion so can''t be declared to be non-Christian. They are Christian be definition.

Are you sure you mean "Christian Atheists"? That''s a contradiction in terms. Atheists, by definition, are not Christians.

She claims in one sentence that she believes in the teachings of Christ, (written by JEWS who were eye-witnessess to Him) but in the next sentence calls the rest of the Bible "Fantasies".

I''ve read that christian atheists want to remove the fairy tale elements of christianity, which is understandable. Perhaps she falls in that category. Whatever she is, you''ll criticize her because her religion doesn''t entirely agree with yours, and you know her statement about the Jews is accurate.

Why would the Catholic Church''s teachings be a fallacy if they are the ones who defined which gospels were in the new Testament? Aren''t they then in fact the origins of the New Testament?
