CBSNews.com Reports: Eventual Nominee Charged With Boosting Slim Majorities In Congress
- To those of you who might feel that Chicago is one big slum, you might want to visit.
You will see one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S., one with a spectacular lakefront and skyline. Amazingling clean too, for such a large city.
All middle to large cities have some slums and Chicago''s is no worse than others.
Chicago is one of the great cities of this Country and anyone who has not been to this City should visit, you will be very pleasantly surprised. - Reply to this comment
- Certainly, Hillary has the larger coattails and is precisely the reason why she should not be elected.
Slick Willie and Hillary have many political debts and political chits to be called in.
This is why it calls for new political thinking, change, if you will.
Too much of the same-o with the Clintons and McCain.
We need new, young, idealistic people in Washington and to get rid of the old corrupt creeps that have made Washington their home and their golden egg.
If ever there was a time to vote for someone like Obama, this is it.
Me, a 72 year white male, veteran, and I will vote for change and a better world for our young people. - Reply to this comment
- The Dallas Morning News did an analysis of voting patterns in the Texas primary (article published March 9, 2008).
%u201CObama supporters were more likely to vote in the presidential race and then skip the other contests than Clinton supporters, who tended to continue voting down the ballot, a Dallas Morning News analysis finds.
More than 80 percent of Democratic voters in the Texas counties where Mrs. Clinton had her largest victory margins went on to vote in the U.S. Senate race, the leading statewide contest on the ballot after the presidential race. By contrast, only 71 percent of voters in Mr. Obama''s strongest counties did. In Dallas County, where Mr. Obama got nearly two-thirds of the vote, the falloff was nearly 30 percent.%u201D
This strongly suggests an absence of coattails for Obama. On a ballot, Obama voters would tend to ignore other races. For many Obama voters, it''s more about Obama personally than about issues or political parties. - Reply to this comment
- ths is sotrue if we give hillary the nomination then we have garunteed the reublicans not only the presidency but possibly give the house and senete back, hillary is such a turnoff to many independents and demecratic voters as well why would someone vote for the women version of john mccain? weshould just let john get the ticket or an even better option is to give it to barack.

- Hillarybots are as delusional as Bushbots.
They cannot be persuaded by facts or logic, their minds are made up. They would support HRC if she skinned live puppies on the local news.
Fortunately, they represent a tiny minority of voters and have no chance of actually electing HRC, who in reality is George Bush in a pants suit.

This is so true. If they were objective, they would see no reason for voting for her (and I''m being objective when saying that, because I tried to think of one over Obama). Experience. Haha, it''s either lies or exaggerations. And Clinton fans seem to think that Obama is the most hated person on the face of the earth. Open your eyes. He could do without her. She needs him, hence the hints at a dual-ticket. That''s more than obvious to see.

Right, and Hillary is portraying herself as Kim Jong-il of North Korea, experienced, clever, and with audacity, except Jong-il is the dictator with "il" and Hillary is the hypocrite with more "ill" than dictator Jong-il. - Reply to this comment

This may surprise you but Obama is not responsible in anyway for the state of any city in Illinois. He is to represent his state and to give voice on Federal issues and to secure monies and funds for the entire state. If you wish to be upset about Chicago or any other city, you must look to that City''s mayor and city council, etc. If you wish to decry any state--you must look to the Governor of the state. (What place is Arkansas in now for poverty?) and if you have complaints about any states laws--THEN you can look at their legislature. Obama was never governor of Illinois nor mayor of Chicago, so your comments make no sense. - Reply to this comment
- Ferraro is right. Obama is where he is because of his color. No other reason

Really? how did Obama''s color get him to where he is? it never got any other black male who ran for President so far...why do suppose that is? LMAO

b-easy63 is right. phillysage is where he is because of his color. No other reason.
"Logical" is when smart people apply principles at the right time and place; "illogical" is when brain-dead Hillary and her believers play double-standards by foolishly applying principles at the wrong time and place.
Do the math:
Obama is likely to help turnout young people in LARGE numbers, and blacks in LARGER numbers, white males A LOT MORE than Hillary (because they can''t stand no-brainer), independents FAR MORE than Hillary (A CBS News poll last month found that Obama beats McCain by 10 points among independents, while McCain beats Clinton by 17 points among the group), plus a whole slew of voters who are casual voters who are excited about Obama, and intelligent women (who can''t stand double-standard self-serving Hillary).
Other than sharing women''s or Hispanic votes, Obama beats Hillary in almost every other voter group by wide margin. - Reply to this comment
- Hillary''s pantsuits don''t provide much of a coattail ... most Dems would be afarid to grab on for fear of being beaten to death by her fat *ss!
