Why the hell can''t we as Americans get over what the hell consenting adults do in their bedrooms.

I TOTALLY agree, on one condition - only if you''re not a HUGE hypocrite. Spitzer built a career on his supposedly "rooting out corruption" and shutting down prostitution rings. Then he participates in one. THAT is hypocrisy.

Clinton had an affair with Lewinsky. Nobody really cares about this except partisans because it didn''t have anything to do with his job. Clinton never tried to build his career out of moralistic crusading. He was very good at his job - he didn''t need anything else.

True hypocrites, like Spitzer, and others like page boy chaser Republican Tom Foley deserve to burn in the crucible of public scrutiny.

That''s the main point - if you set yourself up and build your career on being a moralistic bastion of rightous justice, then you turn out to be just like everyone else (or worse) you deserve everything you get.

I''m a democrat - most of the hypocrites in recent memory have been republicans, but I''ll be the first to toss hypocrite spitzer out on his ear if I had the ability to do so.

Why the hell can''t we as Americans get over what the hell consenting adults do in their bedrooms. Why should we care. I''m more worried by the people on the FBI''s most wanted list and they are out wasting (in my opinion) resources on people who are not the least bit dangerous to me. Let''s get our priorities straight.

I can''t believe what I have been hearing all day from all of these " good Ole boys."
What is everyone getting so upset about,he got caught having *** with another woman. Everyone does it ( and they start listing all who have) Clinton got caught and kept his job, why should Eliot step dowwn? Everyone is doing it! Oh, and it is his private life and none of our business. Excuse me! When they become government leaders of this state and country, they make adultry our business. If they don''t want their morals or character questioned they should get another job. I will not apologize for being sick and tired of these men continuing to get away with this kind of behavior when they are in a public position representing a state or country.
I don''t care what these men say, it is not OKAY!
Our children are watching these men, our teens are watching these men and they should be setting an example.

He should lose his job and then take it up with his family in private. This man swore to the people he would be cleaning stuff like this up and he became a part of it instead. He only had to behave for a few more years and he would have been free to do what he wanted to do. And you say that is asking too much? I don''t think so. Like I said, I will not apologize for expecting our leaders to act like one and just because "everyone is doing it" doesn''t make it right.

My opinion is - If Sen. Gayraig did not have to resign - and he admitted his Acts of Immorality.

Then Spitzer should not have to resign - He is only human after all - and attracted to WOMEN - I mean - This MAN should get a Raise in Pay and an automatic Re-Election - Because

FINALLY AN ELECTED OFFICIAL THAT LIKES WOMEN - and WOW - IMAGINE THAT - HE''''''''S A DEMOCRAT!

-------------

I know that Mrs. Spitzer is probably not very happy that her husband cheated on her, but you know deep down inside she is Jumping for JOY that her husband does not have those so called "Republican" wants/needs/desires - kindof like Sen Craig does.

Mrs. Spitzer Knows her husband is a Democrat! Now so does the rest of the country!

Religion is this country is backwards - they denounce Sexx and support WAR! I''m sure Jesus and GOD do not support modern Religion - I have never read anywhere in the bible the Christianity should SUPPORT WAR! Real Christians would say that this man made a mistake - forgive him. Case closed!

What he did was wrong, but I just wish America would be as offended by a President who lead us into a preplanned war that was sold as a lie to America that caused approximately 3500 soldiers to die and tens of thousands to be permanently disfigured.

In Matthew 5:27-30 it says if you do it in your heart, you''ve done it in the flesh. That makes about 99% of us adulters.
