"Nobel Prize winner Doris Lessing believes Barack Obama would be assassinated if he were elected. "He would probably not last long, a black man in the position of president," the British writer said..."

His safety probably depends upon who he chooses as his running mate. Just like the spector of Cheney becoming President has protected Bush these 7+ years.

This is the first time in American political history that the candidate who is trailing after 80% of the campaign is over has offered the #2 position to candidate who is winning the election. What nonsense !

Good Lord, this is the political nonsense that I cannot accept. I have contributed to the Obama Campaign, and I have sent voter registration emails to Pennsylvanians so that they can get registered before the March 24 deadline and put an end to this "Silly Season" of politics once and for all. Please join me.

Utter nonsense! Obama should not consider such a possibility even at the cost of democrats losing the election IF the nomination is awarded to the loser of delegates, excluding the super delegates. Now to MI and FL, the ones who should accept all blame are the leaders of the party who wilfully and purposely broke party rules, even though they were aware of the consequences. This is not Obama''s fault. He abided by the rules of the DNC. So what if they party loses in November. In the end, you must face the fact that rules have to be obeyed and ought to be followed, whether it be calling an early primary, or awarding delegates fairly. The person/state who obeyed all the rules ought to be commended for its principles and display of upright character, too often missing in dirty politicians who try to circumvent all rules. No one has yet won, but the candidate with the most pledged delegates should be the one. Let the party of democrats remain upright, honest and steadfast.

So let me get this straight. The Clinton Klan is arguing that Obama is not ready to answer that phone at 3 A.M. but he''s ready to be next in line to do just that.

What''s he going to do to prepare? Hand her the phone?Listen in to see how she handles it? Is that what she did?

Perhaps he should prepare by being First Lady for 8 years like her.

What happens if a crisis occurs and he has to assume the Presidency sooner? Isn''t Hillary being irresponsible to appoint someone less "ready"?

Shouldn''t she offer the Vice Presidency to McCain since she thinks he''s better prepared?

The fact that McCain has already secured the nomination shouldn''t factor into her equation since Obama leading her doesn''t matter.

After all, she''s the Queen and she doesn''t need to male sense.

Hillary would suck as VP--and what would Bill do? He was going to be shadow VP, but VP of a VP? Won''t work.

So if the Obama campaign is dirty, well then, that''s the way it goes. But Bill Clinton made a living doing just that; so to is Hillary. Politics requires that, but to be so obviously a hypocrit: Florida, Michigan not counting ring any bells? A candidate makes a argument to elevate her''s/his'' position. But some things are simply a turn off.

When the nomination is stolen for Clinton, and Obama bows out and refuses her patronizing request to be her number two, blame will be placed squarely on his head.

Party unity is worked on and the only thing Democrats worked on has been to break it apart. Nothing, as of late, has been done with class in party since JFK. Cater''s greatest enemies came from within'' and the party has yet to rid itself of eating itself alive and today is no different. In Boston ''04, they were able to outclass the Republicans only because Bloomberg was a bit more classless. I wish Perot was running because he was the last candidate that made sense.

HErfan....Bogus because they were''nt in your candidate''s favor. I wonder how many corners of Texas you were in order to verify this. And to use Rush to buttress your defense isn''t even specious....it''s down right spurious; not an once of true the pound of lies.

Hillary is going to win, and that a fact. But you and the Clintonians panic belies the scorched earth practice that, none-the-less, worries your camp. Obama shouldn''t run on her ticket anymore than he should carry her on his. The Democrats are going to destroy the party and I''m gonna love the fingers-in-eye syndrome that occur in December 08 when the electoral college makes official the McCain nightmare and four more years of Iraq and incompetence.

Herfan, funny how that exact same accusation was made against Hillary regarding Texas. How in the primary, republican voteed for her but didn''t participate in the caucus in the evening.

Clintonians can''t see any fault in their candidate that even adverse numbers are lying on her. ''10 ain''t 10 unless she has 10 by her self.'' Blacks are racist for voting for him, women are self hating misogynist, whites are misguided anti-arynist. You guys have done nothing but cry since New Hampshire!

Dear apprxam,

You need to stop drinking the Kool-Aid at the Clinton Rallies. Please give us a break. You and Herfan need to have a reality check or even a CT-scan preferably of your brains. Wherever they may be.

Noto, Shayj....I''m more than sure that Mrs. Sen. Clinton is going to get this nomination. The fact that the Democrats have this thing called super delegates in the first place presupposes that a little thing like democracy isn''t going to derail those in "enlightened" pursuit of high office. Obabma has gummed up the works enough and it''s time that the party takes control. CHance has no place in politics.

Soooo, why is Hillary qualified to be president ???

Why would a Senator from New York be any more qualified
than a sentaor from Illinois ??[/quote]

I have to laugh because the same thing can be said about our President who''s Dad and his Dad''s money and oil connections are the only reason he is president.

Ironic... he obviously was not capable of being a president and yet he got re-elected...

COuld American possibly be more stoopid... probably

Dear Notopennshut!!

So glad to have your comments here. I could not have said this better. I very much agree. The new message coming from the Clintons about a "unbeatable ticket" again is a political double talk from the Clinton machine. While they attempt to tear him down at all cost, they also would like him on their ticket? Schizophrenic madness. And people should not be fooled by this ploy. He absolutely DOES not need the Clintons. They need him. However, his constituents need him more and I believe that he will be the nominee. How many first''s does it take in an election cycle to win the nominee? Just one. And it is coming around the corner. The Clinton''s truly are engaged in Orwellian politics. It is just heartbreaking to see people fall for it.
