I am living in Thailand right now. The three southern provincs are a majority of Muslims. The terrorists are attacking schools, hospitals, and innocent people daily and they are all Muslims. The Muslims are afraid to speak out because they will be targeted for murder. I cannot understand what the terrorists are thinkig by attacking their own people. The king sent 1800 rangers to search out and destroy the terrorist. They are doing a great job but many soldiers are being kiled also. - Reply to this comment

When people start making insulting replies it is because they cannot think of something intelligent to say and show how ignorant they are. - Reply to this comment

If you check history you will see we were interfering in the internal workings of the Japanese govt, clearly a violation of our constitution. They warned us to back off and we didn''t. They attacked as only recourse left to them. It was a sneak attack because of a poorly trained linquist who delivered the declaration of war 45 minutes after the attack instead of 30 minuts before as planned. We are th heroes because we won, we get to write the history. If we stopped trying to tell the rest of the world how to live and took care of our own country we would have a lot less enemies. I believe the war in Afghanastan to be just as they attacked our world trade centers. I fought in Vietnam and served 20 ears in the military so i feel i am entitled to my opinions. I am now a 100% disabled vet because of Vietnam and will die because of its effect on me. I am not complaining. I joined and i volunteered. However Vietnam opened my eyes to war. We shouldn''t have been there, yet i hate Jane Fonda for betraying her country to North Vietnam. My daughter is now serving in Iraq. I don''t like it but she joined and she also volunteered to go as she felt it was her duty. I totally support our troops wherever they are serving, just not the war in Iraq. - Reply to this comment
- This is very poor journalism-- Many soldiers with many different points of view should have been quoted-- rather than making an entire article about the opinion of just one soldier.

- Ranger1948 - there''s ALWAYS a spot on the ballot for you''re Write-in vote. Might I suggest the REPUBLICAN RON PAUL.
Of course the TOP NEOCON CRONIES are TERRIFIED that he might get in and turn the country around from their plans to BANKRUPT it and pocket the profits that the international corporations and OPEC are funneling to them.
The Neocon backup plan is their "vacation properties" in other nations that DON''T have war crimes extradition - sorta like the post WWII TOP GERMANS that made similar plans - Reply to this comment
