Exit Polls Suggest Strength With Democratic Base Helped Stem Clinton's Primary Slide
- I like a comeback story as well as the next person.
I don''t like it when the Zombies come back to life looking for blood.
Can someone please drive a stake through her heart?
If Democrats don''t do it Old Man McCain will. - Reply to this comment
- CitizenUSA,
I hear the rationale from women every day in the media and posters on here who argue that women should vote for Hillary because she''s a woman. Anyone who argues that blacks should vote for Obama because he''s black and anyone who argues that women should vote for Hillary because she''s a woman are equally stupid!
I happen to be white and I''ve never made the argument that anyone should vote for Obama because he''s black.
All the regular Hillary supporters on here use the gender argument constantly. - Reply to this comment
- Hillary Clinton deserves to be President. She has worked hard and knows her stuff. A women president might just boost our economey. Get us out of war and restore Americans faith in being an American. Mend foreign relations and lead our nation into peace. Hillary is a strong Leader. Hillary can win over McCain- toe to toe!
BRAVO Hillary! Bravo Hillary! - Reply to this comment
- I just saw two African American commentators on CNN and they were discussing Obama. One asked the other if we should vote for Obama because he black. The response was Yes! Oh, my God! Forget about experience and the ability to protect our country during this horrible time...just vote because black skin is apparently, "magical". I DID NOT vote for Hillary BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN, I voted for her because I believe she has the wherewithal to clean up Bush''s mess and get this country back on track. People who base their values on race and gender should not be allowed NEAR a voting booth.

- The exit polls in both Ohio and Texas are very telling. In both states one demographic made all the difference in the primaries. Hillary won by large margins with the less educated voters. Isn''t that interesting - she is bouyed by those that as a group buy much more into the negative campaign she is running and the fear she invokes - while those that are more educated and more likely to think for themselves and what might really be best for the country shy away from her. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Hillary.

- As of right now the Democratic party is ripping itself apart. And rightfully so as this country is not ready for either a female or a colored man to be president. McCain was seen licking his lips. This will be his year. I am an Independent and I will vote for good ole John. And I think there will be many more Independents voting for him instead of what the Democratic party has to offer. What a deal for the party in power now. Just pass the torch Georgie.

- Rowdy Texan2: I respect your comment but you did not answer my fundamental question. It seems that she wants to have it both ways as well. Evidently, sitting beside Bill is enough %u201Cexperience%u201D to qualify her for the presidency (almost as though it was a co-presidency), YET she assures us she alone will be the president this time. Figuring out what people needed is advising the president, not shaping and drafting the policy. Attending official dinners is NOT cementing foreign policy. I%u2019m not saying that she didn%u2019t accomplish anything while she was first lady%u2026I%u2019m just asking for more than her word for it! I want to know specifically what has her stamp on it, what policies/agreements/activities she was the moving force behind. The most public activity was a failed universal healthcare system; if you read the articles, it didn%u2019t fail because of the %u201Cright wing conspiracy,%u201D but because of Hillary%u2019s unwillingness to compromise on the plan in any way, her unwillingness to work with anyone else. SHE had a plan, it was the RIGHT plan, the ONLY option, and she tried to shove it down congress%u2019 throat. So please educate me%u2026what did she accomplish as first lady that serves as valid experience for the highest position in our country? My wife is an active part of everything I do, but she definitely isn%u2019t qualified to step into my shoes when I retire from my current position!

- Mistered9: Then answer me this: why haven%u2019t the veterans you stated that were wounded received their re-enlisted bonuses yet? They may not have ended up %u201Cwounded veterans%u201D if she would have read the %u201Cintelligence%u201D report about Iraq. Correct? It has been stated she was given the report and chose not to read it. How long has she been a senator from New York? How long did our brothers and sisters in the armed services go through, and I repeat go through, the red tape for the benefits you stated and pay for their own room and board? Who fights battles for our veterans when no one is looking? Hillary fights them when the cameras are rolling. Here is a saying that my father in law and many other veterans constantly repeated, %u201C you go to the VA to die.%u201D How long was Walter Reed in shambles? How many wounded vets had to stay there, in the filth, before someone (and was Hillary at the front of the line of following the pack?) did something about it. I%u2019m active duty military, so I%u2019m very aware of just HOW much Hillary has done for us! I love my country, and am proud to serve; I%u2019ve sworn to protect the Constitution and serve my country, even at the cost of my own life, whether I agree with or believe in the orders given. I%u2019ll be leaving my family AGAIN and heading into a war we shouldn%u2019t be in because of Hillary%u2019s experience.

- Yesterday Obama and his supporters knew what reality is. Dream and hope could not compare to facts.

- Maybe Hillary should just run with Nader now. Yeah and maybe Perot would support them and well, with Ann Coulter''s cynical support and some fanning of the flames by an obese drug addicted conservative radio guy, they just might have a shot at disrupting something.
