When environmental biologists analyze the demise and extinction of a species often there was some inherent fatal flaw within that species that eventually permits it to succumb to an inevitable fate. It always comes down to the same thing "survival of the fittest!"
The Democrats'''' self hatred is a fascinating phenomena to watch as it unfolds during a presidential election years.
AL GORE? JOHN KERRY? JOHN EDWARDS? HILLARY RODHAM? B. HUSSEIN OBAMA!! Somebody help these poor people!

Since you seem to feel you are the great and powerful Oz, maybe you would like to explain the demise of the Republican party?

The media has acted atrociously in the few days leading up to the Texas and Ohio primaries. Hillary wagged the dog and the media attacked Obama for the last 5 days of an extremely close election. A socially irresponsible act and a dangerous one for America and democracy as a whole.

To understand why lets take a look at the Obama/ Rezko stories that seemed to dominate the political news.It seemed to me that every Obama story ended in a reference to Rezko. No matter what the context of the story it inevitably ended with a reporter saying something like "...but Obama''s been under a lot of scrutiny lately since questions about his relationship with Tony Rezco..."

The thing is, the Rezco story is old news. 2 Years old. There are story''s in the dozens that lead no where but to the exoneration of Mr. Obama. Thank being said this is my question to the media; What new information, testimony or insight did the media have on the Rezco story that they felt compelled interrupt the flow of the surging Obama campaign 4 or 5 days before an extremely close election?

The news media needs to re-evaluate their roll in the democratic election process. The media is there to report not to exacerbate or sensationalize and certainly not to play ''gotcha politics days before an election in a tightly contested race.

The Medium is the Message folks always be aware of that especially now.

Interesting how by prolonging this race which does NOT add up:

Democrats are willing to fracture their party and give the Republicans the time, momentum
and

via Senator Clinton''s campaigning tactics, the ammunition for the fall.

We do really have a choice here!

Clinton = I WILL do it FOR you

Obama = We CAN do it together

If the Super Delegates, or Party Elders have any wisdom whatsoever, they will end this now OR we had better practice saying:

President John (Bomb, Bomb) McCain!

And let our country be CONTINUE to be sold out (to pay for the continuation of these wars) to foreign interests!

Then, all the hard working, blue collar folks will really have something to vote against, if we all still get to have a vote, that is.

That is one way of looking at how the media has "done its'' job" recently, Shayjo.

Another way is to say, why have they not looked into Obama more earlier in the race? He has pretty much run unaffected by his past. The media has largely run to his defense on many instances.

I''m confident I''m not alone in criticizing Mr. Ververs for unqualifiedly saying that Clinton won both Florida and Michigan, without noting that Obama did not campaign in Florida and was not even on the ballot in Michigan, having complied with the DNC''s ruling to which both he and Clinton had agreed in advance. Now Clinton chooses to breach her agreement on the basis of her "winning" in these states without opposition. Yes, a fair remedy needs to be found respecting Florida and Michigan representation at the convention, but fairness (and the good of the party) precludes rewarding Clinton despite her failing to abide by an agreement she knowingly made.

I supported Bill and Hillary during the years they were being attacked over the Whitewater deal...never thought I would see the day when Hillary would be the one doing the "whitewater" style attacking. The "3am" ad, the false info about Nafta, the tony Rezko garbage, all lies, all from Hillary''s camp and all Rovian style attacks.

The only saving grace is that she doesn''t have the numbers to win the nomination. But that won''t stop her using every dirty trick in the Rove play book. She''s no better than Bush.

6 months ago I was an avid Hillary supporter. Now, seeing what she is really like under pressure, I wouldn''t vote for her if she were running for dog catcher.

I could not agree more with you Crazyfit!! I actually said to myself, well, Hillary starts whinning and the media acquiesces. It was something to behold. It was extremely irresponsible.
