Comments on: Canadian NAFTA Remarks Rile Obama Campaign
Senator's Senior Economic Advisor Says Diplomats Inaccurately Portrayed His Trade Stance
- Interesting. When the news was first broadcasted, Obama''s camp insinuated as Hillary''s last desparate action. When the truth came out, it was clumsy portray of words? I thought ''THE WORDS MATTER!''.
Is this sign of double standards? - Reply to this comment

Words without actions are meaningless nothing more than pre campaign rhetoric. If he really opposed the war he would not have voted to continue funding it. - Reply to this comment
- Posted by creeper00 "Too often with Obama it seems like amateur night on the campaign trail. The man is seriously shy on experience and he seems to think pretty words can make up for a lack of leadership. On the other hand, he did at least tepidly oppose the invasion of Iraq."
Obama may not have a long resume of experience in Washington, but where has that experience got us? Into a war based on lies and exaggerations! Obama did not ''tepidly oppose the invasion of Iraq'', he did so strongly and forcefully.
He said in a speech in 2002, "I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda." He was right on the money with his prediction, even with his lack of ''experience'', while John McCain is still supporting that failed policy! - Reply to this comment
- Now why would it be that the major contributors to all three are either banking or brokerage firms and the same firms?

- This is the primary and truly is not all of the money donated to any of the candidates, bought and sold.

- A trult fair comparison would also look at who is contributing to Clinton and McCain.

This is what is disclosed and the same contributors have given to McCain and Hillary in Hillary case almost matched what they gave Obama or in some cases surpassed it. How much is not disclosed? - Reply to this comment
- creeper00,
if you truly wanted to see Amateur Night you should''ve watched Hillary on SNL or McCain hunched over and ranting before a crowd of tens. - Reply to this comment
- omega39,
You''re correct about the TAA and professional workers are eligible but it isn''t being fully funded.
radiob,
Those contributions that you outlined add up to approximately $4.6 million out of almost $200 million he''s raised. No one running in either party is less invested in large donations than Obama.
In Illinois he worked to pass legislation subjecting Excelon to stricter reporting requirements for radioactive spills, so he isn''t exactly their bag man.
I do think he''s too much in love with biofuel though.
