- bggdy58,
I don''t know why people assume that Hillary''s experience as the wife of a President will serve her any better than GW''s experience as the son of a President. If he had built on his father''s experience we wouldn''t be mired in Iraq now.
Presidents don''t need to know their way around the White House on day 1, there are plenty of aides to show them the way. What they do need from day 1 is the intelligence and character to make resoned judgements on the issues that rise to the Presidential level.
That''s where Obama has demonstrated a clear superiority in my opinion.
If the phone rings at 3 A.M. i want a President who will make reasoned judgements on how to respond and experience doesn''t teach that. - Reply to this comment
- AJ,
Good morning to you! I''ve been following your comments lately; I always check them out because
I know they''ll offer a non-partison and independent viewpoint.
I just responded to the accusations of Rozz62 under a different story regarding the super delegate intimidation issue. I don''t know if it''s true or not, but it appears that if it is it''s an independent group.
I don''t think anyone from either the Obama or Clinton Camp is dumb enough to threaten federal officials that blatantly. If they are, the supers should take whatever evidence they have to the Justice Department and the Federal Election Committee and it will end quickly!
Personally, I don''t buy it. - Reply to this comment

- What is this so-called "experience" Mrs. Clinton constantly refers to?
She has two a couple of additional years in the Senate over Obama, but he has eight years in the Illinios legislature. When Bill was President, how many executive orders did Mrs. Clinton sign? How many troops did she commit to combat? How many cabinet meetings did she attend?
Hosting state diners and *not* sleping with Bill Clinton does not seem to be the kind of experience most Americans are looking for. Abraham Lincoln had less "experience" than either of these candidates, and he got along just fine. - Reply to this comment
- Some African-American superdelegates who support Hillary Clinton are reporting threats and intimidation from people wanting them to switch to Barack Obama.
Pressure on black superdelegates has intensified since civil rights icon John Lewis switched his allegiance from Clinton to Obama earlier this week.
Missouri Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II tells The Politico some superdelegates are receiving what he called nasty letters and phone calls, along with threats that they''ll now be opposed by other Democrats in reelection bids. Cleaver says some even report being called an "Uncle Tom."
Adding %u2014 "This is the politics of the 1950''s. A lot of members are experiencing a lot of ugly stuff. They''re not going to talk about it, but it''s happening."
California Congresswoman Diane Watson reports she also has received threatening mail %u2014 but says she would rather lose her seat than violate her principles. She says she cannot switch her vote simply because Obama is black. - Reply to this comment
- Hillary sounds like the best candidate right now, but her past issues over selling out her constitutents to Wal-Mart and Tata seem contradictary to her goals of saving the American Working Class.

- Obama does this kind of krap all the time. It enables him NOT to talk about real issues! It''s his modus operindi...he''s a fluke! He''s been doing this for over a year!
Why do you think he keeps calling for Hillary Clinton''s tax statments? He''s so *** worried about her tax statements when we have really severe issues. - Reply to this comment

- Here is what I want to know from Obama: What is your answer to the top general and top military officials that say we need to slow down and and maybe even pause the withdrawal from Iraq? Are you going to listen to your military or are you going to be another Rumsfeld and screw everything up?
