Nation Of Islam Leader Tells Supporters Not To Be Dissuaded By Senator's Reaction
- I didn''t hear Hillary reject or denounce the racist words of her surrogate. Yet the double standard reigns again. Farrakhan''s terrible statements were made years ago. Since then he has made strides in being civil. Once a rat, always a rat? I guess there is no redemtion for mankind? I love the Jewsih people, I love Israel, and I welcome anybody who has changed his heart to support Obama.

- Hello taddles, thank you for your kind invitation to "cite" some passages from the "Glorious Quran" that exemplify Islam''s view of a woman''s place in society. Please therefore find below Abdullah Yusef Ali''s translation of Verse 34 from Sura IV.
"Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard (in the husband''s) absence what Allah would have them guard.
As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first),
(Next), refuse to share their beds,
(And last) beat them (lightly):
But if they return to obedience, Seek not against them Means (of annoyance):
For Allah is Most High, Great (above you all)"
Of course from the muslim point of view, one cannot even blame Islam for this attitude because the words of the "Holy Quran" are those of Allah himself, so this verse in fact reflects the view of the Omnipotent, Omniscient Supreme Being himself. - Reply to this comment
- "Hold one sec! You are partially correct.
However, as you can see, those last words and phrases were separate and incomplete. You have seized upon them inappropriately by taking them out of context." Posted by sociallyjust
Point taken, I stand corrected.
I will retract the part about your seeing Robertson as a protector. It is just that I see in the press, of in the blogs, or these comments threads, no where near the vilification of people such as Pat Robertson, who has advocated "cultural war", murder, and other hateful remarks, denouncement only comes softly as an after thought if someone should mention them.
The overall impression in mainstream media is that it is OK for a "White" man to posit such things as Mr. Robertson and others of his ilk, but in the case of Minister Farrakhan, small snippets are usually cut from larger speeches, taken also totally out of their context, then harped upon as if it was the main topic of the man''s speech.
Example, Malaysis''s Prime minister Mahathir Mohammed once said "If a country''s greatness is only measured by how many people it can kill, then Hitler''s Germany could be called a great country". The western press went apeschitt over "Mahathir says Hitler was great". They have done this to Minister Farrakhan frequently.
As far as the last statement, the sentence was posted in an incomplete state, there are no other words after the ones I cut and pasted, so I responded to the words that are in the post. - Reply to this comment

Agreed! Robertson is another delusional, religious, Christian nutjob. - Reply to this comment
- Would the readers and participants make reference to the end of the last commentary, where at the very bottom, an incomplete phrase and a partial sentence appears ? They appear in error.
Thanks,

Now your turn, please show where my words are incorrect, your disagreement means nothing, but it might help understanding to know what part of it you disagree with...

Exchange Minister Farrkhan''s name in your post to Pat Robertson, and you would be even more accurate, but apparently to you it is OK because you see Pat as a protector.
As far as "white man bashing" is concerned, it will be bankrupt only when the largest segment of the "white" population no longer practices economic and social apartheid. Please show statistics that show that "whites" no longer practice discrimination against "Blacks", then your "bankruptcy" assertion might have merit. - Reply to this comment
- Any attention given to Mr Hatemonger Farrakhan, is a waste of precious time.
His mind is filled with hatred and ill-conceived delusions of siezing power that would enable him to be in a position to inflicting harm and death onto Whites, Jews, Christians and others.
Hatemonger and MAJOR HYPOCRITE Farrakhan should be considered dangerous and should be incarcerated under US and/or state penal/justice codes for INCITEMENT OF HATE.
In addition, and consistent with historical mass murderers, Louis Farrakhan USES RELIGION, FEAR AND HATE AS POLITICAL TOOLS, which appeal to those (his own)unfortunate victims of such a sophisticated and treacherous political ''evildevil.''
To quote Abraham Lincoln:
"Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves."
Yes, L F, if there is a hell, you have more than one foot in it for being rotten to the core, and right in the Land of Lincoln!

- This is ridiculous.
So Obama is somehow liable for the idiotic statements by any black personality out there, whether or not he even knows this person and whether or not he''s sought out his support?
I guess according to this idiot logic Reagan therefore is liable and tainted by the fact that white supremacist David Duke was a Reagan supporter.
The fact that they''re pumping this fake Farrakhan "story" while ignoring the fact that McCain has SOUGHT OUT AND WELCOMED the support of well-known anti-Catholic BIGOT John Hagee speaks volumes.
And for the record, this is not a liberal/conservative thing. Conservatives like Ann Althouse and Bill Donohue are already calling upon McCain to distance himself from Hagee. It''s just that the news media loves it''s little McCain darling too much to notice. - Reply to this comment
