The last thing we need as president is a military guy, especially one that questions the courage wisdom of the American people. They''re the ones dying in Iraq not McCain. If he wants to thump his chest let him go sign up for a bout in a Tough Man contest and leave the rest of us alone.

AJMarine1,,, I guess we could consider that an "Oop''s" ??

Something that was not about the Irqi people sure as hell rapidly swallowed them up. ---
--- George boy & friends shouldn''t have ignored all the pre-invasion & post-invasion planning, for "Good Old Boy" politics.

This QUESTION is SO telling. It''''s all about you, isn''''t it?
THE absolute PROOF that this IRAQ WAR was NECESSARY IS seen in HOW LONG IT IS TAKING these poor TRAUMATIZED IRAQUI PEOPLE to
take charGe of their own government.
All those years living under the thumb of that crazy dictator and his two murdering thieving sons HAS left an entire nation of people in a state of POST TRAUMATIC STRESS!
AMERICA IS THEIR LIBERATOR, once again, this is a role we have performed in the past and it is a role we should be proud to claim.
Who else in this world is going to reigh in and topple these TYRANTS? Not the powerless puny un? - It IS a joke! Stop critcizing the US.
We are still the best hope for a civilized world and that''''s the unadulterated TRUTH of it!

Are you kidding me? this is too funny. went from wmd''s to al-q to the people needing to see shrinks? This war in iraq was uncalled for. As easily as they are blowing up our fine men and women in uniform, they could have easily blowned up saddam and his sons if the people wanted their freedom that bad.

I know that CBS is an appendage of the DNC and won''t dare challenge Obama''s points but the jig is up on you dishonest lefties.

al Qaeda was in Iraq pre invasion and has admitted so repeatedly. They have posted videos on their websites of this presence (http://regimeofterror.com/archives/2007/08/detainee_talks_of_terror_camp_1/), has had documents recovered discussing their pre invasion movements and admitted their prewar training in the country (http://regimeofterror.com/archives/2007/07/al_qaeda_video_documents_husse_1/). They''ve also been arrested cooperating with HUNDREDS of Baath leaders of Saddam''s regime since 2002 (before the invasion) http://regimeofterror.com/archives/2007/07/hundreds_of_loyalists_and_bene/

I understand the press, CBS and the Democrats have constructed a myth that al Qaeda was in every country around the world BUT Iraq before invasion but it''s BS and if CBS had any journalistic credibility they''d call a spade a spade. But they don''t!

If the iraqi people wanted freedom, then they would have fought and died for it.

Inform me...when did the iraqi people wanted to take over this country?

When did the iraqi people say they wanted me dead?

The Iraq war was not about the Iraqi people, it was about Saddam. If the people wanted to fight for him, then their fate is another casualty of the war.
