libra127,

Many of her answers were on point. Many were not.

If she was not deceptive then tell me, how wil she mandate health coverage, and why won''t she release her
tax returns for democratic voters to see?

Russert wouldn''t have had to ask the questions half a dozen times if she had given a straight answer the first time.

I don''t agree with this at all. In the last debate, I found her answers to be exactly on point and clear as could be.

croft777,

It''s not about drugs or a cult of personality. Whether or not you like the answers Obama actually answers the questions(most of the time).

Hillary usually dodges and avades and taks around the question and that makes her hard to listen to.

She can''t give a good reason for not releasing her taxes, for supporting the war, for how she intends to mandate health coverage, and on and on. That''s why she does more bobbing and weaving than Muhammad Ali.

One more point about the debate last night. I don''''t know if it''''s just me, but I find that whenever Hillary was speaking, my mind just sort of wandered and after 20 seconds or so of her often long-winded responses, I was in daydream-land.

Not so with Obama. Something about his style keeps you listening. Can''''t help but stay engaged.

Perhaps this helps explain why he keeps surging week after week.briannorwood

maybe if you''d get off the drugs, your mind wouldn''t wonder. Yeah Obama has you on his drugs, its called PCC. Personality Cult Complicity.

I have been reading many of the posts tonight and I find them very interesting. Some people seem to have a grasp of the important issues facing us as a country and a people. They are for the most part well thought out and to the point. Others are a bit infantile, perhaps even a bit sophomoric. But it''s an overall reflection of one of the greatest liberties we have as Americans--the freedom of speech. We don''t have to agree with one another but doesn''t it give you a great feeling to be able to express yourself without fear of reprisal? We''re all in this together--WE''RE AMERICANS.

Not stupid to vote for McCain....

Smart enough not to vote for Obama :) now with Nadar running Obama lose some of those Male Independence voters now that give McCain even a better chance.....

Hillary was the best shot the DEM had, but they rather follow the cult movement with no experience....

Hillary don''t get it I be voting Rep for the first time in my life.....

I have been reading most of the posts this evening. I find some of them quite interesting. They make a point about where they stand on the candidates and issues in what''s turned out to be a highly charged climate or enviroment, if you will. However some of the posts are rather infantile--quite sophomoric in fact. However freedom of speech is one of the greatest "liberties" we have as Americans. We don''t have to agree with one another--but it''s great to be able to express ourselves without fear of reprisal. CARRY ON MY FELLOW AMERICANS.

And for those stupid enough to vote for "Warmonger" McCain get ready for WWIII, because this "hotheaded" fool will certainly push the button.kailumego1

Bush will have us in one before then. It only takes a person to look around the world to see all the chaos going on right now, and say, "hey this could get ugly!" They always say that anytime there is comming any major changes to societies, then war always procedes.

Obama is a quick-thinker and a hands-on kind of guy. Caroline Kennedy hit the nail on the head when she said that he has that same kind of magic that her dad had. There will always be malcontents that oppose the fast lane to growth, success and diplomacy. They (the malcontents) would prefer to remain in a vacuum and entertain thoughts of grandeur that is unqualified and all-too common.

Americans seem to have selective memory when it comes to the war in Iraq.I remember that in Sept. 02 that 75+ senators were givin a closed door meeting and briefed on Iraqs supposed ability to reach the coasts of the U.S. with either chemical or dirty bombs. In Oct 02 the vote to empower Bush to go to war was passed 88-26,as a senator For New York a prime target for attack she voted yes.Now after finding out that it was all a lie manufactured by Bush and company Obama blames Clinton when his vision was so much clearer than all of Americas.

Does anybody really think that Obama is fit for the job?

Does he meets the standards of a World Class leader?

The bad guys would have the Prophet for dessert!

After George Bush, America is ready to hire anybody who wants to be President.

Scary!

"HRC has gone first in 6 of the last 11 debates, so I''m not sure what the whining was about. She would do so much better if she stayed positive and upbeat."
Posted by boatdocster at 06:07 PM : Feb 27, 2008

I don''t think she was "whining" about it, just pointing it out. And it applies to each question, not just the first question of the debate. Nonetheless, even after mentioning it, I think she still got first go on more questions than Obama, and it served her well. But I agree with you that there was no point in her making the observation and she would have been better off leaving it out. Especially since it opened her up to misinterpretation (i.e., accusations of whining).

You think Obama is bad let the "Warmonger" fool McCain get into office and kiss your economy, environment, "free-speech", and automony "goodbye".

Obama might not be the best choice for Democratic nomination, I''ve always felt Al Gore was the best, and next John Edwards, but he sure beats the "HELL OUT OF HILARY" AND "WARMONGER" MCCAIN.

JERSupporter,

Al Quaeda is in Iraq but there is no Al Quaeda base in Iraq. Is that not so subtle distinction too complicated for you to grasp?

If Al Quaeda has bases or camps in Iraq you need to take that up with Bush & Petreaus.

Posted by realpatriot1 at 02:18 PM : Feb 27, 2008

There was not any AlQueda in Iraq till George W. Bush invaded Iraq
