For everyone who does understand that this came from someone more than a bit ''crazed''; there is one point that has only lightly been touched on.

That it is ''crazies'' who commit ''hate crimes'' and this continual assault from a part of the Republican base, can be seen as stirring up that type of frenzy or mob mentality.

If the GOP carries on that tact, I believe that the backlash from any decent American will be tremendous.

Stirring up ''hate''; all too often can lead to ''hate crimes''.

GOP, continue at your own & Senator Obama''s peril!

Cunningham''s remarks only highlight the bigotry and hypocrisy that is the core of the modern Republican Party. When they''ve got nothing to offer except tax cuts for the rich and more years of a useless occupation in Iraq, as is now the case, they go after the candidates on a personal level. This scenario has played out many times under the sleazy Bush administration. Swift-boating is the main political strategy of the GOP. I hope that normal people will someday reform the GOP and get rid of the cranks and weirdos that now seem to populate the party.

When the Federal Constitution''s Bill of Rights was authored, there was no broadcast technology. Every listener was within walking distance of the speaker and had the opportunity to "Interact" if they were offended. A speaker had to read their listener''s reactions or face being punched in the nose, if they got too far out of line. Remember that people were tarred and feathered in those days.

Today, we have broadcast technology and the element of "Interaction" is absent in many mediums. If the supreme court wants to permit offended listeners to "Tar and Feather" those who violate community attitudes while exercise their freedom of speech, let''s get busy holding some "Tar and Feather" parties!

It is clear that without censorship of those who exhibit offending communications, listeners are going to depend on hi-profile people like John McCain to chastize loud mouths for their offensive expressions.

I would personally prefer a "Tar and Feather" party for: Rush Limbaugh, Lou Dobbs, Pat Robertson, Bill Cunnignham...etc..

Local, county, and state taxes, as well as "user fees," have all increased to make up the difference in federal cuts.

Did you notice the reaction of the people in the background to this guy? They were staring at him like he was a lunatic, which obviously he is. But I think there is a real message here. Here is the McCain faithful scorning a spun out, far right, smear and hate monger. Maybe the era of Karl Rove style politics has come to an end. Rush and Coulter certainly seem to have been marginalized. But the proof will be in McCain and the type of campaign he chooses to run. If he were smart, he would take notice.

The other thing, when McCain rejected this clown, what does he do? He turns the flamethrower on McCain, see what I been about the far right? They are (one trick phonies.)

Now take a look at the debt! Now look at what THAT is costing YOU and ME every single day. Now look at the cost of Bush''s War.. look at the cost of that EVERY SINGLE day. All you are doing is pushing YOUR debt onto the future generations. Why? Because you are to greedy to pay your bills. Simple? Bush was handed a Government with a Balanced Budget AND a Surplus, now look at were we are? Talk about FAILURE!! Man THAT is FAILURE!!

Do you believe the tax rate is the only issue that matters? Tax rates are offset by a stagnant or shrinking wage with an constant increase in the cost of living.

Perhaps being retired has put you a bit out of touch with the issues facing WORKING Americans.

McCain had nothing to apolgize for. The name is not made up, it is his name.
I see some rewriting of the facts here by the left.

Xlib, Do you find the name "George Jr." slightly disrespectful? How about just plain %u201CJunior%u201D?
How about if during a campaign speech, a speaker uses this name exclusively when referring to our current president?
Is this not an accurate form of his real name?

There is something to be said about intent.

The point isnt Obamas name. The point is do you want to talk issues or empty rehtoric? It is my opinion that the right has no record on the issues over the last 7 tears, so what are they left with? This guy yesterday went far beyond making fun of Obamas name, but I did not hear much about health care and the economy from him.

Is hussein NOT his allah given name?

If the left wants to portray this empty suit as the next JFK then he better get used to being called by his full name.
When kennedy ran he ran as JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY

Sounds like the nursing home where John resides should get him a radio.
He can listen to some of what his "supporters" are saying on talk radio.

It''''s the same tired old nazi trick.. McCain allows the fascist to paint those who want to talk about the failures of this administration with a NAZI brush and AFTER the fanatics have been fed their red meat he comes out and winks saying that it''''s bad. In my book HE is worse that the NAZI who did it! Sieg Heil McCain!!

I diagree with that - freedom of speech after all. But people do need to be aware who and what Cunningham, as well as Rush, Ann, Hannity etc, are. But never silence even the scumbags. That''''s when we stop being a democracy.
