To Xlib: Although you have decide to change the subject, I will answer you questions: 1) The Fairness Doctrine is an attempt to give equal time to both sides of a political question, which cannot be done now because the large corporations want only the story that benefits their bottom line (like Faux News). 2) You say Roosevelt "loved" Stalin. Why, then would he have developed the A Bomb in secret (even Truman didn''t know it existed until he became President? It was because he wanted to keep Stalin out of the Pacific. 3) We, probably, both know a few people who have been wiretapped, but as you knew before asking the question, the Government has kept their identities a secret. Why don''t you name one of the "evil doers" that has been successfully prosecuted as a result of this Constitutional violation? 4) Patriotism as we all felt after 9/11 is not the same as Nationalism, which is a doctrine that tries to impose it''s will on others! 5) I don''t care if JFK would be "disgusted." Many things he did, I find "disgusting," but, they too seem to fit the mold of the present day Republican, who''s values talk does not match their own lifestyle. 6) And finally, Global Warming is being "pushed" by scientist from all over the world, while the Cowardly Cowboy "pushes" his agenda to separate people into two classes---- the haves and the have-nots.

If you REALLY want to see something that will send chills down you spine go to the Web Site of the RNC! Look at the Video they have on there. It''s hard to imagine how we can be involved in this "War" on Terror for over 7 years and still be at this level of FEAR. Now IF I''m the enemy I love this, because it''s obvious the leaders of this nation are using against it''s OWN people the SAME methods and propaganda that they, the Terrorist, use. I have studied History for almost 35 years, taught it for nearly 25 and I can''t find ONE thing Sarge said in his post that is NOT FACT. Care to point out exactly what you attack him for? I''d like to know and I''d like to know the source for your information.

I can''t speak for all on the "Left" as you state because that seems to be like the word "Liberal" to you folks. I can address the present state of the issues you raised thought.

The Fairness Doctrine is a regulation that ONCE was in the FCC Code. It required any News Organization to present BOTH sides of any given argument. It was taken out of the Code by Republican''s because it prevented people like Bill O''Rielly and Rush Limbaugh from conducting their radio programs.

I''m not aware of any "attacks" on Christian''s. What I am aware of is the basis of law that run out of schools in the 60''s people who taught "Equal but Different" under the banner of "School Prayer". It has long been the standard in this nation, all the way back to the FIRST Congress that there MUST be a Wall of Seperation between Church and State. The State MUST not take ONE Citizens position over that of another Citizens. The 14th Amendment further clairified that to mean ALL citizens and ALL religions. Does that help?
