Washington D.C. - another place where private ownership of handguns is banned.

Would you walk the streets of D.C. at night and feel safe? Not me.

Satisfied with government? Of course not.

Of course, neither party''s candidates offer a palatable alternative to the status quo; only more of the same.

None of them advocate peace, liberty, or individual freedom; freedom of commerce; freedom of travel; freedom of employment, etc.

All advocate government force as a solution to every problem.

If laws and regulations work, why not just make murder illegal?

Oh, wait. That''s already been done.

Guess the criminals don''t obey that law either.

Guess you''re out of counter-arguments?

Logic and reason wins again.

Another point on criminalizing guns:

The only people that follow the laws are law-abiding citizens. Criminals are called criminals because they don''t obey the law.

More gun regulations makes it harder for the law abiding, honest citizens to own guns, but it does nothing to keep guns out of the hands of criminals.
