There you go again, bearing false witness against your neighbors. I wonder why christian conservatives are always the first to talk about the Bible, but the last to follow its instructions?
I would never ban christianity. I like to think most intelligent people recognize the absurdity of it without my having to force my own beliefs on them. You see, what separates me from Christian fundamentalists is that I respect a person''s right to make up his or her own mind. I realize that concept is foreign to you which is why you naturally assume that I want to ban christianity, even though nothing could be further from the truth. It''s a shame you are too simple-minded to imagine a world in which people disagree, but don''t feel the need to cram their own beliefs down other people''s throats under the guise of legislating "god''s law." - Reply to this comment
- "Couric: But what about September 11? Nobody wanted that to happen. And I think the country wants to be reassured that the person in the Oval Office will know how to respond."
That was a great response Michelle Obama gave with respect to Barack''s experience.
I don''t know if the Obamas would ever use this argument for a 9/11 question, but the fact is that McCain doesn''t have that experience either - technically it should have been Bush to handle 9/11 but he was too engrossed in My Pet Goat. Instead it was Giuliani. That experience really distinguished him from the rest of the candidates in the wake of the Bhutto assassination when McCain did what he always does under stress and that''s mention that he was a POW.
The fact is that for any of the remaining candidates, another terrorist attack would be both a new experience in the sense that none of them were first responders on 9/11, and both an old experience in the sense that we''ve all been through 9/11 before and maybe aren''t going to be as shell-shocked as we were the first time around.
The reality is that no matter who''s President if another 9/11 were to happen, that person would still be able to call upon Rudy if need be . . . like I''m sure partisanship isn''t going to be a factor in a crisis. - Reply to this comment

- It''s dissapointing that Americans in the media would write off anyone with the courage and strength to run for president. Mike Huckabee is gaining the support needed to prevent McCain from reaching the delegate count that would end this critical race. That''s why the fight is not over. The race is not finished. The future of our nation is at stake and I''m so thankful for those that stick it out, give everything they''ve got, and leave nothing on the field because it shows how much they love our country. It shows what they are willing to give and endure to ensure that the people of our nation thrive together for a stronger future. That''s why I have to support Mike Huckabee. Because he won''t back down as long as there is an opportunity to raise this country up. You can do it Mike Huckabee. Now let''s finish this marathon.

- Candide777: Huckabee got 45% of the African-American vote running as a Republican in a heavily Democratic state. He was the only major Republican candidate to attend the forum on minority issues in the fall of 2007. He has won a remarkable level of support from black leaders. To say that he is racist is an incredibly and laughably ignorant statement. And all you have to match up against these hard facts is the words of a song he didn''t even write? What a fool you are! Why don''t you take your ignorant bigotry somewhere else? No one here is fooled either by your stupid arguments or your multiple screen names. You are intellectually incapable of engaging in a reasonable discussion or debate, so you resort to muddying the waters by spamming. All you have done is discredited your point of view and made yourself an object of ridicule. By the way, your last post was full of misspellings; perhaps if you took remedial middle-school classes you would have something better to occupy your time.

- Huckabee has absolutely no chance of winning, yet he continues to campaign. He is truly an inspiration to all insane people in this country.

- If Governor Huckabee gets cheated out of this race, many people are either not going to vote, or we will vote Obama.
So since the Republican establishment thinks they are so smart, be prepared to lose the white house.
Our GOP leaders should have stepped in a long time and put a stop the the unethical campaign Romney was running. Especially when he robo called millions of people prior to Super Tuesday to tell un suspecting Americans that Huckabee had dropped out of the race.
Huckabee should be leading right now. Just because he is not, doesn''t mean he shouldn''t be.
I am sickened that we have an awesome leader who is getting short shafted. - Reply to this comment
