How is McCain/ Huckabee going to change anything???
Mc Cain will end the war in Iraq when your grandchildren are old enough to serve. If the republicans had any idea of how to stop Terrorist,
they should of done it by now.
Lower taxes for the wealthy and corporations.
No bill under McCain proposed to stop illegal immigration currently on the floor
Again no bill under Mc Cain proposed concerning healthcare.
Why is it McCain is against the rebates, this is also includes those people currently living on social security. Thats right, he only gives tax incentives to businesses and major corporations.

- deems - you are correct in that McCain was previously in favor of a form of amnesty for illegal immigrants, but he has recently changed his tune on that. So no, he is not as tough on illegal immigration as I would like, but he is certainly better than Hillary and/or Obama, who have never done anything to crack down on the illegal immigration problem.

- jack3213,
Speaking of dealing with real issues and not looking at the world through rose colored glasses, how are those benchmarks for the Iraqi government going?
How are those tax cuts for the rich to stimulate the economy working?
How are we doing at bringing OBL out dead or alive?
Has McCain finished reading Greenspan''s book so he can figure out what to do about the economy yet? - Reply to this comment
- talkingham,
African-American voting is up 40%; that''s more than a few votes.
The Republicans voting for Obama are not coming back in November so keep dreaming!
I suppose the women and Hispanics and working class whites who went so heavily for clinton ibn previous Primaries are trending toward Obama to guarantee a Clinton victory too?
If that theory is all you''ve got then by all means go with it!
Obama has tapped into something that your feeble minds can''t comprehend so deal with it however you like. - Reply to this comment

- Hillary/Obama positions:
1. Surrender Iraq to the terrorists,
2. Raise taxes,
3. Keep the borders open to illegal immigrants (including possible terrorists),
4. Force people to use government-run healthcare, and
5. Prevent people under 35 from ever getting Social Security benefits (even though they pay for it)

Sounds good, I''m with you so far....but does McCain/Huckaby really intend on doing anything about illegal immigration?? They are both FOR amnesty as far as I can tell. They are both sneekingly liberal on illegal immigration. That''s one of the reasons that McCain lost his steam last time around, right? - Reply to this comment

- It''s also obvious that a bunch of Republicans are voting for Obama too. As close as elections have been in Virginia for the last several years it''s implausible that so many more Dems would vote than republicans in this primary. I haven''t heard one commentator even broach the possibility that Republicans are voting agaisnt Hillary to provide a weaker candidate against them in the Fall. One who has no foerign policy experience and who will look totally impotent when the next reguarly scheduled terrorist wag the dog event or scare is unfurled in the Fall by the Republicans.
Wolf Blitzet, a real joke of a newsman, stated it was obvious that Dems are more "energized" than republicans. I agree that Obama is bringing out more blacks than would otherwise vote but not that many. Notn early double the amount of the republican vote.
The is not the first time a party has used cross-over voting as a strategy to influenece the other party''s primary, but I haven''t heard one commentator even mention crossover voting as though it doesn''t exist. - Reply to this comment
- I am from Virginia, white, Christian, conservative, and frankly, offended that CBS thinks that we are all so stupid that black people will only vote for Obama, white people will only vote for McCain, feminists will only vote for Hillary, coservatives will only vote for Huckaby. Please, give me a break, I would like to listen to what they all have to say and make my descisions if you please. Now, the only problem is, I don''t believe in any of them.

- My mother lives in Virginia and is a strong feminist. She said that there is nothing more she would like to see before she dies than to see a woman be President of the United States. She goes to church regularly and almost all of her friends come from the church community. At the age of 55, she voted in a primary for the very first time in her entire life. She voted for Obama. - McCain WILL beat Obama or Clinton. Obama & Clinton have no experiance, are as phoney as all celebriies and all they do is make grand promises of change and illusions of big dreams that they think will make everyone happy. WRONG. Deal with what the issues are, stop hiding behind rose colored glasses for once. Be adult and be responsible for yourself. Obama or Clinton will not hold your hand, but raise taxes and make enormous mistakes. We don''t need more mistakes, we need to finish the war correctly, we need not have our taxes raised, and we do not need socialism in this country. WAKE UP.

- I''m proud of Americans for the first time in years as they display an ability to think for themselves. The media continues to prove itself unprofessional as they try to explain away the success of Obama''s campaign. It looks like and act of desperation as they try to claim that Obama is winninng these states by the black vote only. Americans are smart enough to look at his wins and see that Washington State, Idaho, Nebraska, and Maine have the same winning margins as the Potomac Primaries and virtually no black vote exists in these states. CBS News should be ashamed of this blatant attempt to explain away the progressive candidate we all want to see as our next President. Obama speaks for me... a 35 year old lower income white male. Obama for President.

- Since the war on drugs was a failure, I should make a fortune on items that advertise the war on terror. There was alot of merchandise sold during the war on drugs. Therfore ther should be the same results now in the war on terror. When will they learn that they can''t change a persons belief? When will they learn that non of us are safe at home when the borders aren''t secure and we don''t know who is in the country? In reality since none of the candidates along with the current administration don''t want to do anything about the millions of people who have already broken our laws by being foreign invaders leaves us all vulnerable to attack. Securing the borders with the enemy within won''t help matters.

- Did you check their programs ? Maybe you''''ll find answers
on their web sites. But about "concise" ... I wouldn''''t mind they elaborate a little bit, you see.

I read everything that Mr. Obama has on his site, I found nothing that gave answers,Broad plans with no substance. Everything is generic and vague. Mrs. Clinton''s site is pretty much the same generic and vague. Detail answers are required.... - Reply to this comment
