Apparently McCain thinks skipping votes on crucial issues will help him pimp himself to the neocons.

I''m going to enjoy watching him pander to Rush Limbaugh for the next eight months.

I wonder how Mitt''''s sons will serve the country now that they''''re not serving the country by working on Daddy''''s campaign?

Probably working jobs that their daddy gets them. They won''t get their hands dirty either. They''ll be bossing around the ones who do the actual work. Kinda like Bush''s ''career'' in the oil industry. The man has not worked an honest day in his life.

It''s about time for McCain to embark on his "more of the same" campaign for the general election of 2008. He''s going to have to sell the idea that he represents change to the voting public. Should be funny.

reply to taylpatr - As a mormon, I take personal offense to your comment "How does a mormon say f you?". Believe me, I''m not one of those nice mormons, - I''m kindof atypical, and quite honestly, if I was going to tell you "F you!" I''d say "F you!"

Here''s what will happen in November: The Republicans will gloss over their differences and rally around McCain, in the interest of winning at all cost. The Democrats will b*tch and snipe over every little detail, like Obama''s smoking habit, Clinton''s real or fake tears, Obama''s middle name, whose health care plan is really better, etc. etc., all the while thinking they have the election in the bag. Results: Republicans win. It''s happened again and again, yet they don''t learn. Dems like to ridicule Repubs as simple-minded fools, but THEY are the ones acting like idiots. Message to Dems: Politics is the art of compromise. You will NOT get everything you want in a candidate. And if the other party wins, you will get NOTHING. Get it? Now grow up.

To ainttaken: good job on the coward list. Isn''t it amazing how, just like with abortion, war is promoted by cowards and draft dodgers, while abortion is opposed by rich fat man and women who will never have to need one.People should mind their own matters and not try to make decisions like that for others.

"The numbers didn''t add up".So it wouldn''t be profitable anymore? Do you mean to tell me that it''s all about the money instead of all the good things that Uncle Mitt was going to do for us? Like he did in Utah? I was born and raised there and now I can''t afford to go anywhere when I go back down to visit. He did alot for Utah, all right. He made it so that the low income people became poverty stricken. They built a huge outdoor, up-scale shopping mall right across from the homeless shelter. It''s a blatent capitalistic kick in the groin to every displaced and homeless person that this economy has produced.I was glad to see that Mitt burned 35 mil. on his futile grasp at ultimate power. And we saw by his tactics how he can play dirty too.Q:How does a mormon say "fu*k you?" A:Trust me!

On the Left, your wrong The Liberals are again overplaying thier hand, foolish in believing we cant lose. Thats what we thought when Mondale, Dukasis, Gore and Kerry lost! You are massively overestimating the american public and underestimating the power of the Hatred for Homosexuals and immigrants in todays society. A bad economy will only exaserbate these proplems. Seriously, how many white Republicans will cross over to vote for Obama? How many racist Democrats and military families will cross over and vote for McCain ? I''m telling all Democrats, we will lose badly in an Obama - McCain contest. For Gods sake, we elected Bush / Cheney. And Chaney was one of only four house members who voted against Head-Start.

I was right, so far, the "Christian" conservatives showed they could not accept a Mormon as thier own standard bearer. Surprizingly this shows that americans are less tolerant of differences than we''ve been led to believe they are, by the stalking heads.
It was the Mormon issue that did in Romney. He was a heartless right-winger, but that only helps him as a Republican. Ironically, the Republicans have now selected a Moderate who''s trying to act like a right-winger. Conversely, the democrats are picking a Moderate whos parading as more liberal than the weakenning front runner. As a liberal Im sick to my stomach, especially because Barrack HUSSEIN Osama does not stand a chance against the Maverick, anti-Bush War Hero, John McCain.

I have no worries whatsoever that either Obama or Clinton will be the next president. None. Zilch. Nada.

And that''s even with an as yet unknown third party candidate in the race.

With McCain as the nominee, it''s a done deal for the Democrats.

Oh, O''Bama is a coward. That is what someone without conviction is called, especially when they vote "present" 100 times instead of taking a stand on difficult issues. A coward he is and a coward he will always be.

You little college freshman supporting the left need to wake up. O''''bama voted "Present" 100 times as senator. Not Yeah or Ney, just present. If the enemy attacks again he will say "present" and nothing else. It''''s called "Moral Cowardice" or in my view he is just a yellow bellied 1/2 white coward.

Posted by von_marko at 08:00 PM : Feb 07, 2008

Hey - Bush was AWOL and Cheney got 5 deferments - Present doesn''t sound too bad...
