McCAIN SAYS HE WILL BRING BACK THE DRAFT! McCain told a crowd of New Yorkers this morning that he will call a new generation to service of their country.

You can''t go to Canada any more. Hahahaha. "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." What would the new Kennedy-like-Kennedy light say. Raise the white flag of surrender?

Oh, here neoganggreen -

McDonald''s the icon of everthing anti-Americans detest about the U.S. is doing a booming business overseas even as sales in the U.S. flatlined. Another icon, Boeing, is having no trouble booking orders for its new 787 Dreamliner to such customers as Spain''s AirEuropa and Bahrain''s Gulf Air. The quintessentially American film, "National Treasure" has earned nearly half its gross revenue about $160 million in foreign ticket sales since its release in late December. So much for American''s loss of "soft power."

Usually I follow the rules here at CBS and comment only on the article, but FuzzyBear9, your comment is the only one I can relate to. Are you and I the only Americans or Expats who see the truth? It seems the entire nation, including the Expats still believe they choose the president!

I would like to see every person, who out of all Americans , selected George W.
Bush as the best person in America to be their president! Step forward and be responsible! Do you own this choice fully?

According to all the hype and spin on the pending election, you the voters are solely responsible for who will be elected, and the talk here is as if that is true! Please, get real!

Fuzzy Bear if you want to read more on this, go to the blog on "An American Illusion" at: http://mokenman.wordpress.com/

Here neobrain. In the immediate aftermath of the Iraq War, nearly every government that joined President Bush''s coalition of the willing, Australia, Great Britain, Denmark and Japan was returned to power. Frances'' Chirac and Germany''s Schroeder were cashiered for two candidates who campaigned explicitly on a pro-American agenda. The same happened in South Korea. Italy''s equally unapologetic pro-American Silvio Berlusconi seems set to return to office. Anti-Americanism, like illegal immigration is fool''s gold politics. Sarkozy and Merkel were not installed in office principally to mend relations with Washington, but to the extent that both seek to liberalize their economies, or strengthen NATO, or take a responsible position vis-a-vis Iran, it brings them closer to Washington''s way of thinking. Your argument is hogwash. And you haven''t any brains all you have is ganggreened gray matter. Who''d you talk to in Peru, FARC refugees? Hahahaha.

Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran John McCant is not a war hero folks, no matter what the reicht winged Fascist press says. McCant was a mercenery that enlisted in the US Military to fight in another countries civil war. When the Vietnamese shot him down in a US taxpayer owned plane, McCant then became a prisoner of war for the next 5 years. This history of MCCants involvement as a mercenary in US Military clothing fighting in another countries civil war makes him yet another barbarian turned conservative, which is a far stretch from being even close to a war hero.

He answered the call. Which is something that you could never do because you are a coward. If you actually live in the United States or some kind of Tyrany in your mind, you owe everything to men like him. Allot of the men and woman dont agree with any of the wars they have fought including the American Revolution but they answered the call anyways so just because you could never do that does not make it wrong.

And I am tired of evangelicals thinking that they can legislate morality by policing every thought.

-But it''s ok to legislate immorality by abortion and other immoral acts in our society right? As long as the secular left wing legislates their brand of "morality" (actually lack thereof) it''s ok. Noone is allowed to oppose it with legislation however according to you.

Sounds like you have a case of the double standards RowdyTexan sir.
