By blaming the Government for our actions, those who pushed this "Blair''''s bombs" line did our propaganda work for us.
More important, they also helped to draw away any critical examination from the real engine of our violence: Islamic theology.

Our Prophet commanded us to fight the kaafirs when we are able and to attack them in their homelands and to give them three choices before we enter their lands: either they become Muslim and be like us, sharing our rights and duties; or they pay the jizyah (poll tax) and feel themselves subdued; or they fight, in which case their wealth, women, children and homes become permissible as booty for the Muslims.

- We don''t know enough about Obama. Yes, he is a gifted orator, but that is not enough. As for claims that Hillary is divisive, I find her charming and very friendly. All the divisive talk is coming from the right wing who have cornered the market on divisiveness.

- Feb 3rd New York Times Story Sheds light
One of the bills that Obama is touting has to do with forcing nuclear plants to report leaks to local authoritys after complaints from his community about the Exelon Corporation not reporting a leak.
Obama publically scolded Exelon and wrote legislation to require all nuclear related plants to report any leaks immediatly. A worthy cause, maybe.
It turns out that with each draft the bill became more and more watered down and eventually DIED so why is he taking credit for it and an even BIGGER question is why has Exelon pumped more than $225,000 into his campaign since then?
It walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and swims like a duck. The only question left is "is it a duck"

- I agree with Richardson. I don''t think endorsements mean much and a politician risks alienating many voters that way. Certainly, Ted Kennedy''s endorsement reflected more on him than on Obama when the truth came out about his petty reasons.
I hope Edwards will keep to the high road and not endorse anybody. After all, I think he was the best candidate of them all so why should he endorse anyone. - Reply to this comment
- Y''all, please note that "akona2" is planted by the republicans. Even as divisive as HRC is, she would not stoop so low as that. So just ignore "it", (yes, an "it" since it''s sub-human) and treat it like a speck of dirt on your garage floor.

- Insurance companies gain huge profits. The problem is that everyone wants the most gains for the least contribution and for most people, they think that it is what they deserve from the crib to the grave. Instead of one cure fits all, how about looking at what the alternatives are. In a number of countries, employees pay a percentage based on their wages, thus equalizing the difference between the highest and lowest paid, PLUS a percentage of the actual cost of the coverage, up to a ceiling. This deters people from visiting several doctors for the same ailment, since they have to cover 15-20% of the costs. You can''t have everything for free and it is the fault of all those companies who promise to provide coverage for life at almost no cost. The world is changing and this will not work forever. That is why millions are not covered. At the same time, you cannot mandate one plan for all, especially with HRC''s plan.

- "WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans."
A very bold statement.
Most politicians only say what they think will get them elected.
Mitt Romney would say the world is flat if he thought that would get him votes. - Reply to this comment
- Confusing religion and race was the Original Sin of the Nazis.
There is no such thing as "Muslim blood" -- that"s a religion and a culture, not a race.
Iranians, Arabs and Turks are mostly Muslims but are of very different racial and ethnic groups.
Hitler and the founders of the Nazi Party started off with that terrible confusion, and 100 million people died as a result of it. - Reply to this comment

- THE IMPERFECT "PERFECT" OBAMA
how can Obama be the honest person if he himself is caught in lies?
how can Obama claim he can do perfect judgement on DAY 1 if he himself makes mistakes on getting involve with a slumlord?
how can Obama claim he can be the uniter if he himself indulge in fights?
how can Obama claim he is the new blood if he himself is part of the old blood?
how can Obama be the bridge to the future if he himself does not have the mastery of past?
a good salesman (OBAMA) can make you drive a lemon car. a good mechanic (CLINTON) can fix the lemon car.

- akona2 is NOT a typical Republican. Typical Republicans have enough intelligence to see through the Russ Limppaw hate they have been exposed to. Most of them realize what a mistake the Cowardly Cowboy has been and probably have some sense of the everlasting damage he has done to our military, homeland security, economy and international standing. Don''t stereotype based upon one moron like akona2.

Clinton health plan may mean tapping pay
By CHARLES BABINGTON
Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.
The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC''s "This Week," she said: "I think there are a number of mechanisms" that are possible, including "going after people''s wages ..." - Reply to this comment
- California Edwards Supporters Breaking For Obama?
San Francisco Chronicle
Joe Garofoli
February 2, 2008 09:18 PM
We''d love to be listening in on the conference call Sunday morning when Barack Obama -- and few of his top surrogates -- will be on the line with at least 50 top donors, organizers and grass roots door-knockers who supported John Edwards in California.
Already, at least three of Edwards'' California co-chairs --- including San Franciscans Jeff Anderson and Jeff Soukup -- have decided to go O. Over the past few days Anderson has canvassed many key Edwards players across the state and found that about half are ready to move "and 90 percent of those are breaking for Obama."
Why? With the race tightening to a dead heat in California, many Edwards supporters realize they could provide the difference Tuesday, even without an official blessing from their (original) favorite candidate.
Anderson said Saturday that many of his fellow Edwardians feel that Obama has a better chance at "making real change in Washington as opposed to the back to the future kind that Clinton may bring." ... - Reply to this comment
- Magnanimous of Bill to host Bill for the Super Bowl viewing. Obviously not good when there is such much piling on of Hillary by Teddy, dear Oprah etc. Of course, Bobby Kennedy''s children support Hillary and for good reason. I would suggest TV get a nice closeup of the two Bill''s as they spend this valuable time together to watch the game and discuss politics and the future of the Nation. Thank you, Bill Richardson.
