Comments on: Why Obama Won South Carolina
Increased Turnout Among Young And New Voters, Desire For Change Fueled Obama's Victory
- Among white voters, who were 43 percent of the Democratic primary electorate, 40 percent voted for Edwards and 36 percent supported Clinton. Only 24 percent of whites supported Obama.
Wake up call for everyone. Hillary based on her own comments and her persona is not electable in November. Obama despite the civil rights movement of the 60 ties, America as a whole is not ready for you. With these top tier candidates being unelectable to the general public in November this throws the race to the republican nominee which more than likely will be McCain. Unless America wants 4 more years of the same, they better wake up and get out and vote for Edwards who I reluctantly will vote for. - Reply to this comment

- It is certainly puzzling how Obama is doing so well in the election. Seems everyone has forgotten his refusal to be sworn in as a senator using the bible, his refusal to honor the pledge of allegiance to the flag and refusing to stand respectfully during the national anthem. And shame on ALL the news media for not pointing this out to the public.
This man is a taught member of the very religion(???) that vows to kill all persons that do not believe as they believe. How is it the media can condemn Saddam, Bin Laden and other members of this religion (?), but fawn all over this member? His is trying to be a sheep in wolf%u2019s clothing, and you guys are smiling and providing all the help he needs.
Don%u2019t play the race card either, for if Colin Powell were running, I vote for him over ANY of the other runners, both Democrat or Republican, and last I hear he%u2019s the same race as the one you think is so great. Unfortunately he%u2019s too smart to get into the slime you call politics. - Reply to this comment
- Well, whatever it was, it certainly was not all about qualifications. Obama is the least qualified person to apply for this job since the Republicans gave us George W. Bush. And that, of course, worked out so very well.

- Because he successful introduce the "race card" through manipulation of media hungry for his campaign money spent in their advertising sections.

- Try as he may, Obama will not be able to overcome the fact that he went after and got the black vote in SC. SC was about race and the large states that matter most will vote against that kind of strategy.
The truth matters and I''ll be the first to say that I don''t know how Obama could have avoided the perception that he is the black candidate and not much else. Am I wrong? Maybe, but time will tell as in Feb. 5, 2008. - Reply to this comment
