So the strategy to defeat global Islamic terrorists is "hope"? Sounds like a real solid plan to me.
I know Kennedy will have drank himself to death before my kids become adults, so their security doesn''t mean spit to him.

Obama won South Carolina is because of his race. 83% of the blacks vote for Obama. They indicated that they want CHANGE. They don''t even know what CHANGE Obama will bring, except a change for the black man as candidate. If those people really want CHANGE other than race, Mitt Romney is the one that will CHANGE. He is not from Washington like Obama. He will bring the economic change for those blacks in South Carolina and so on.

Obama gains credibility with the Kennedy endorsement. While the American center sees Bill Clinton''s presidency favorably, it is troubling to consider extending 20 years controlled by two families to 24 or 28 years. And we can anticipate the wearying partisan attacks from the right that come with another Clinton presidency.

It is truly amazing to me the amount of ignorance in the postings here. The only reason Senator Obama would not win is the staggering amount of lies and misinformation that is being put out, it%u2019s sad that we have not learned to do a little research to counter the %u201Cswift-boating%u201D of our candidates.

If you think the GOP has a prayer, your dreaming. Take a look at what has been happening in the primary%u2019s. Every GOP candidate is broke and has little or no money coming in. The Dem%u2019s are fat with cash, and the money is still pouring in for them. The GOP has never been so splintered, the fiscal, religious, and military wings of the party each have their own candidate. The only thing that will unite them is Hillary winning the Dem side. Even if she does win, and the Republican party is able to unite, they are still facing a huge uphill battle. Have seen the number%u2019s from the Democratic primarys? The Dems are doubling and tripling their turnout numbers, the GOP numbers are down. The legacy of Bush, Cheney, Delay, First, etc.

Clearly the American people are tired of the politics of division, which has been the GOP strategy for the last 15 years or so. Obama is the only one on either side of the isle that is reaching out to the other side, which is why he is gaining support

I want to like Obama but his Church that gave L.F. that award freaks me out.

His church is pro Africa though and I like that.

Africa is in bad shape and to much attention is given to the middle east and not Africa.

So I looked on Mr. Obama''s website to see where he stands on the problems in Africa.

Nothing ! I can''t find anything on his website about Africa.

Plenty about the middle east. He didn''t forget the Palestinians.

I was hoping if he were to become president that he might help out Africa instead of worrying so much about the Palestinians.

Mr. Obama, What is your stand on the bad problems in Africa. Post them on your website !

I hope our next president cares about the people on this planet that need our help the most !

'' .. if the little gods say they want you to turn their school houses into dare houses and their neighborhoods into shock and awe campaigns, you know have to do it, though you know *** well they are going to turn around and tell you to turn their dare houses into anti-dare houses and their neighborhoods into anti- shock and awe campaigns, and all because they the spilling of their own baby blood and the breaking of their own baby bones makes them giggle and giggle and giggle .. How come CBS never reports who Asians/Hispanics/Asian Indians voted for? hmmmmmmmm?

You know, this article was quite long but I could sum it up in one sentence. "He won because more black people showed up."

Among white voters, who were 43 percent of the Democratic primary electorate, 40 percent voted for Edwards and 36 percent supported Clinton. Only 24 percent of whites supported Obama.

Wake up call for everyone. Hillary based on her own comments and her persona is not electable in November. Obama despite the civil rights movement of the 60 ties, America as a whole is not ready for you. With these top tier candidates being unelectable to the general public in November this throws the race to the republican nominee which more than likely will be McCain. Unless America wants 4 more years of the same, they better wake up and get out and vote for Edwards who I reluctantly will vote for.

Liberals turning on other Liberals. Is this the same code as Ape shall not kill Ape from Beneath the Planet of the Apes?

It is certainly puzzling how Obama is doing so well in the election. Seems everyone has forgotten his refusal to be sworn in as a senator using the bible, his refusal to honor the pledge of allegiance to the flag and refusing to stand respectfully during the national anthem. And shame on ALL the news media for not pointing this out to the public.

This man is a taught member of the very religion(???) that vows to kill all persons that do not believe as they believe. How is it the media can condemn Saddam, Bin Laden and other members of this religion (?), but fawn all over this member? His is trying to be a sheep in wolf%u2019s clothing, and you guys are smiling and providing all the help he needs.

Don%u2019t play the race card either, for if Colin Powell were running, I vote for him over ANY of the other runners, both Democrat or Republican, and last I hear he%u2019s the same race as the one you think is so great. Unfortunately he%u2019s too smart to get into the slime you call politics.

Well, whatever it was, it certainly was not all about qualifications. Obama is the least qualified person to apply for this job since the Republicans gave us George W. Bush. And that, of course, worked out so very well.

Try as he may, Obama will not be able to overcome the fact that he went after and got the black vote in SC. SC was about race and the large states that matter most will vote against that kind of strategy.

The truth matters and I''ll be the first to say that I don''t know how Obama could have avoided the perception that he is the black candidate and not much else. Am I wrong? Maybe, but time will tell as in Feb. 5, 2008.
