Comments From Clintons On Obama, MLK Jr., Have Infuriated Some African Americans
- As an African - American, I was supporting Obama. Not because he was black....but because he offered hope. But after reading this story and watching on television. I am switching my vote. Barrack proved that he can''t handle an election. When united, the Republicans are far tougher than Hillary. He also showed just how dishonest he is....months ago he promised to run a positive campaign. Since November 2007, he has done the opposite. Attacking Hillary as if she was a terrorist. I don''t even like her. It''s supposed to be a new kind of politics.....it looks like the same old same old to me.

- Rowdytexan2,
Without Dr. King and others marching and facing up to the Police dogs and water cannons and Church bombings there wouldn''t have been any legislation for LBJ to sign and Washington politicians wouldn''t have been compelled to act.
No one said anything about a racial slur but if you can''t see the insulting and condescending nature of the argument I can''t help you. The crux of the argument was dead wrong and spoken like a privileged white Washington insider who never put themselves in harm''s way for freedom.
The slimey accusations about him being a drug dealer or a Muslim which have been circulated by the Clinton campaign form a pattern of racial bigotry reminiciant of jesse Helms at his worst. It''s certainly beneath the dignity of a former First lady, or at least it should be.
There''s no racial slur in any of that; an outright racial slur would be more honest and less incidious but no less dispicable. - Reply to this comment
- Race baiting, not racial slur. Sought of like what the meaning of is is.

- If John Frost is a psychologist, which I doubt, perhaps he should return to school for an updated view of the world.
His maniacal comments seem to me to be an uneducated,
unaware, plant for the Republican party. - Reply to this comment

All Bill Clinton did was point out that Lyndon Johnson, a democrat, was the person who assisted Dr. King in getting his dream onto the legislative floor. Which is the absolute truth. Dr. King was NOT a legislator. Without help from the DEMOCRATS, nothing would have been done!!!!!
THERE WAS NO RACIAL SLUR!!!!!
Only a RACIST could find a racial slur in that. - Reply to this comment
- More frightening to me than who gets elected in
November are the many wackos that comment here.
Whether Democrat or Republican their comments are so far off the charts that they may require psychiatric care.
Whew! Gimme a break. - Reply to this comment
- Some politicians will seize upon anything to try to turn it to their advantage, even when it is dishonorable to do so.

- The real issue to be decided is which Democrat will best lead America to a bright future for all her citizens.
My top choices are Edwards and Obama. - Reply to this comment
- MCVET,
Unlike you I''m disgusted by this brand of politics whether it''s practiced by a "southern fascist" or a liberal Dem. I know the Clintons want people to believe they''re doing this as a public service to vet Obama from what he might face from Republicans but only a total idiot would buy into that mess.
In the words of Eldridge Cleaver, "If you''re not part of the solution you''re partof the problem."
The Clinton''s style of politics is the same as the Republicans and is part of the problem. - Reply to this comment
