CBS's Dick Meyer Says Change Isn't All It Was Cracked Up To Be
- "Demanding a person excited by passion to suddenly just stop when you say no demonstrates a high degree of ignorance and/or naivety about human nature, particularly passion"
Ignorance and naivety are not crimes, nor should they be. But the guy MUST STOP if the woman says NO. Don''t care if it''s hard for him. Perhaps an even higher penalty is needed to deter men such as yourself who do not want to stop. - Reply to this comment
- Trauma on children is inflicted by society, it is not inflicted by touching their genitals. Children generally have no reference point from which they can be traumatized by having their genitals touched, irrespective of what is used to touch them.
Americans refuse to see the truth in that statement because we are a nation of sexual deviants who either fear or worship genitals.
And, that is why we have all these stupid laws related to sex_ (can''''t even post the word, demonstrating our national insanity).
Genitals are not unique. They are no different than any other part of the body other than location, shape and purpose.
Assaulting them is no different than assaulting any other part of the body. The emotional reaction depends entirely on the person, same as with all other assaults.
Your emotional response does not alter the facts. Nor does anyone else''''s. Rape is an assault on genitals, same as any other assault.

I doubt very seriously that anyone else agrees with your perception of the "facts" except maybe rapists and pedophiles. My "emotional" response as you put it has nothing to do with the fact that you, sir, are a freak and are unlikely to get support from anyone on these beliefs. Maybe some sort of bizarre support from leafsntrees at best. - Reply to this comment
- " I hate CRAZY women.
It is not my fault that 99% of women are CRAZY."

Well, LOL, tucker. That statement pretty much satifies MY requirements for being known as a woman-hater. Nothing else need be said. You''ve proven the point all by yourself. (Many times over, actually). - Reply to this comment
- I am saying that the woman who reported this "rape" to me should not be considered a victim and the "rape" committed against her should be classified a misdemeanor.
Her story:
"I got drunk, picked up a guy in a bar, went with him in his car to a warehouse district, willingly engaged in sexual relations with him, and once we got started, I changed my mind. He wouldn''''t stop when I told him to.
He raped me."
That is a summary of a claim that was reported to me.
That is not rape.
But, according to feminists, including HRC, and the law in most states, it is.
Since rape has been so trivialized, it should be a misdemeanor.

Assuming you are right, which I don''t, what about the women who are really raped and didn''t lead anyone on? What about a child??? You specifically stated in the past that the age of the victim doesn''t matter. How are cases like this the same as what you described above? Read the other story on CBSNews right now about the guy that raped the little girl and it was found on video tape? Are you saying he should get 30 days in jail and a fine "at most"? - Reply to this comment

Tucker, the point is, why didn''t he stop when she said no? No means no. Is that so hard to understand? - Reply to this comment
- For those of you who can''t believe how far off topic this is, you''ll have to read through the posts to figure it out...hint,hint nutsie11

A little levity, Scarlet. Go research it, and write a paper on it. - Reply to this comment
- "Equal rights" demands that assaults on genitals all carry the same punishment. Until kicking guys balls results in life sentences, then imposing any such sentence for assaulting a woman''''s genitals is unconstitutional and unjust.
Rape is an assault on the genitals and absent injury, is simple assault, a misdemeanor offense.

Why do you not consider the emotional trauma?
Why do you not consider the age?
Why do you think that anyone would consider your opinions seriously on anything after knowing your views on this?
Why do you think that kicking a man in the crotch is on the same level as raping a child? If a man raped your wife and she kicked him in the crotch, should they have side by side jail cells? I guess you would think if she kicked him first, they should. - Reply to this comment
- tuckerndfw,
So, are you saying that the laws should be changed so kicking a man in the "balls", as you put it, would result in the same harsh punishment as rape should result in? Or are you saying that both should be considered minor? - Reply to this comment
- "Sooner we get the word out, the sooner we can get our idiotic "sex_ crimes" laws repealed.
Rape, absent injuries, is simple assault and equivalent to a guy being kicked in the balls. It is an assault on the genitals and should be classified as a misdemeanor.
Thanks for the help."

Oh wow, that''s really off - sorry, but rape is about power and helplessness, and men have stronger physicality. If you get kicked in the balls, then you have the power to beat the *** out of the other guy or render the woman powerless. That''s the difference. Anybody who would commit a *** crime has a fundamental disrespect for the sanctity of human life imo. And I think the vast majority of ppl would agree with that. - Reply to this comment
