Everyone is entitled to their opinion, jh6379.
I think it takes a man to stand up to public opinion when you believe you are right. Obama hasn''t had to do this yet, that I know of. So, I''ll reserve judgement on that comparison. - Reply to this comment

You were right on the first count, bobnjersey. The intent doesn''t have to be there for something to be racist, is just needs to be interpretable that way.
I for one would hope elgraz has the fortitude and grace to be a good person and apologize for an mis-intrepretation he may have ''unintentionally'' displayed.
If the word was used on purpose, you have no place in MY political affiliations, as a Republican. And, hopefully every Democrat out there would understand that.
If the intent was that he''s not old enough, check the consitiution, I believe 35 makes the grade. - Reply to this comment
- Of course CBS will spend time lauding the Dem caucuses and focusing on the "GOP headaches"; however I call this a headache for the Dems; John McCain winning in NH and competing for the nomination. John is a military veteran war hero with more experience in every category than the 3 top tier Dems COMBINED!! John McCain is loved by the independents in the US; only Obama can possibly compete for independents the way McCain can - Hillary is SURE to lose against McCain; she is HATED by fully half the country. If this general election is between McCain and one of the 3 remaining Dems, I like the GOP chances. The moderate, experienced, honorable war hero John McCain against either the conniving, evasive, cackling former hostess-in-chief trying to pretend she has experience when she has NONE or the angry rich boy with no experience who has shifted from a moderate Dem to MoveOn''s chosen angry left-winger is a no-brainer win for the GOP!! Obama would make that a race, but moderate GOPer with McCain''s resume while the nation is at war in a nation that is still slightly center-right vs an inexperienced, though inspiring, far-left liberal; still think the swing states go to McCain in that case. I would love to see that race though; the two most honest men in the contest in my view now that Biden is out; at least I can respect both of them even if I don''t agree with Obama on most positions.

If he had said "young" or "inexperienced" I would have no beef, but that''s not what he said.
Go out on street and call a black man "boy"and see what happens.
I grew up in the South, I''ve seen the "boy" reference first hand. The all caps "A BOY" is clearly derogatory and racists.
On another note, W was a one term governor, I''m not sure how far the "inexperienced" boat will sail. - Reply to this comment
- [Maybe I don''''t know anything about politics, but I do know that calling a black man a "boy" is racist and pathetic ... Considering that you defended someone who used the term I would say those words clearly apply to you.]

Congrats on the most racists post have read in years. Calling a black man a "boy" is as bad as calling him the "N" word.
Raving, small minded, racist. That''''s the GOP!

- Atheists don''t expect anyone to "follow them." They are not "followers", if they were, they''d be religious. They have examined the world closely, and found that religions have no connection to reality and are in fact contradicted by science. The world is like a Christmas tree with presents under it - it either got there because Santa brought it all down the chimney, or it got there because someone grew trees, cut them down, and sold them, someone else worked hard, got paid, bought the tree, took it home, set it up, decorated it, went to stores, bought presents, wrapped them, and placed them under the tree. One story is a complete fabrication, the other is the truth. Atheists care about and honor the truth. All atheists expect of religious people is that they put down their blinders, conduct their own rigorous, unbiased examination of this world, and reject myths. We know they won''t, but we hold the religious to that responsibility.

- "...a Republican Party dispirited by an unpopular president.." try DETESTED president, hated because his POLICIES were a disaster for the United States in too many ways to relate here. The Republican solution ? A more "likeable" person to continue the VERY SAME POLICIES. If that "dispirits" the Republican party - too bad ! They marched in lockstep with Bush every inch of the way, they supported him in Congress and continue to this day. Every one of their candidates is pledged to the Bush agenda, so what are they fighting about ? I guess the Republicans weren''t satisfied in alienating the world, they now must alienate each other with their quest for ideological purity. For people so in love with "democracy" they should try it sometime.
