Comments on: Chelsea Clinton: I Don't Talk To The Press
Even Turns Down Request From Nine-Year-Old Reporter During Event In Iowa

Nobody here hates the man. They hate what he''s done.
The truth is, he has been incompetent in every venture he''s taken on in his life. And the Neocons have used him as a stooge. And he''s not even a good stooge, because he can''t follow their orders.
And yes, we can blame the infrastructure of the US on him, because all of our infrastructure money has been abscounded for their illegal war! There has been no money put into our roads and bridges, and the money that should have been available for the Katrina victims has been abscounded for his illegal, lying, corrupt war.
The surplus we had in social security has been borrowed by him for this war. Social services for the disabled and for veterans have been sorely cut because these funds are not there for the purpose these funds were legislated for.
The tax cuts that he and his republican congress whizzed righth past us, benefited only the rich. NOBODY making less than $200,000 has benefited by ANY program they have passed.
Can you folks that were so blinded by sell these people put on you to elect him TWICE, that you cannot see this? - Reply to this comment
- alan, let''s say Chelsea had anything relevant to say about her mother''s campaign, and she decided to speak her youthful mind to a 9 year old, who would then misintrepret something, feed it to her dad, who may then come up new interpretations. Again, who cares what Chelsea, or any other candidate''s kids, have to say?

- Ahhh, a love fest. Let''s see if that can somehow be tied into the Chelsea story. Or at least put the Chelsea story into its proper perspective: completely banal and trivial, utterly without journalistic merit, unless you''re a reporter for a very small town newspaper and need filler next to the obits.

I know nothing about chelsea but her brushoff seems totally unnecesary. It would seem if she doesn''t want to talk to reporters she shouldn''t be involved in the campaign as a public figure. - Reply to this comment
- facts6,,, Yes, Chelsea inherited her mother%u2019s social skills --- The little girl reported the event & said, she was very nice & she still really liked Chelsea.

- jwhitman, you sure about that? George Bush 43 is world reknowned for shooting from the hip, then occasionally stopping to ask questions later.

- shanev137. You''re Muslim, right? You''re thinking Hillary was a doormat to Bill? That''s a bigger laugh than all of Bush''s mispronounced words. Perhaps Rudy, John, Mitt, Huck, Barack and Edwards are all doormats to their wives. It sounds as though you may simply be sexist and afraid of a woman Commander in Chief. This is where Great Britain beat us by over 20 years (Thatcher).

Easy, she''s never been a doormat. - Reply to this comment
- omg, global, do you really think liberals blame Bush for bridge collapses and Katrina? No wonder there''s a communication gap. You''re too concerned trying to protect the President from illusions, and there''s really nothing you can do to protect him from his delusions.

- "Tall and attractive, Chelsea cuts an impressive figure on the campaign trail; she plunges enthusiastically into the crowd after her mother''s speeches, shaking hands and posing for pictures while asking, "Are you going to caucus for my mom?""

I wonder how Chelsea would feel if somebody responded had responded to her inquisitiveness with:
"I''m sorry, I don''t talk to the vote-panderers and that applies to you, unfortunately. Even though I think you''re cute."
What a decline of society that people are making excuses for somebody''s lack of social graces - even if Clinton family values dictate they only think about themselves rather than reach out to help somebody like a little kid, I certainly think there are smoother ways of brushing somebody off without looking like her mother''s daughter . . . - Reply to this comment
- How can a woman, who has been a doormat for decades in her own marriage, be an effective leader of the most powerful country in the world?

- sincityq...What an amazingly astute observation. You are so right. There''s an old saying, "Opinions are like azzholes, everybody has one." To get so worked up over all this is really kind of silly. Great post. You sure got my attention.

- global_chick...You are absolutely right. But the other side did the same thing, and still are, to Bill Clinton. That''s my whole point. I am liberal in some areas and conservative in others. The world is not black and white. It is true that Bush gets the blame for some pretty ridiculous things but that goes with the territory. I have a feeling that you and are not so different after all. Why don''t we try to put our differences aside and be friends? We can always agree to disagree.
