Republican Presidential Candidate Bags A Pheasant On A Hunt In Iowa
- And by the way taotxzen, no matter how you rainbow dust sniffers couch it, ILLEGAL immigrant will still always be ILLEGAL. That''''s what its about. Tell them to get in line, come into America following the Law, become patriots of OUR nation. Otherwise, shoot them as they cross the border. They don''''t want to be Citizens, they want money. Now I''''m sure you''''re upset because you fear that Barbra Streisand will lose her little illegal Mexican rug shampooer but tough.

ROFLMAO And YOU think the Toe Tappers Association will actually DO something about it? ROFLMAO Right! They had complete control of congress for 6 years and did absolutely NOTHING... didn''t even come close, yet here they are out there selling that Snake Oil. You folks can''t actually BELIEVE these clowns will do anything to stop the cheap labor, exploited by their BIGGEST Contributors, from coming here do you? Please tell me YOU aren''t that stupid!! ROFLMAO Sieg Heil Bush! ROFLMAO - Reply to this comment
- You sit back, watch and wonder why the Toe Tappin Association just keeps buying the snake oil. It''s shown to them time after time that such antic''s and the Wedge Issue''s produced are done so for ONE reason, to buy the votes of people so hung up and scared that they will vote against their own best interest based on ONE issue. If Larry Craig did nothing else he should have shown these poor simple minded people what is being done to them. For some reason they get treated like corner hookers and they just keep coming back for more. Sieg Heil Bush!

- God was the first one recorded to have killed an animal,....and why did he do that? What is the definition of "dominion" used in this context?

- Why is it that all GOP (and some Whimp-ocrat) candidates have to prove they are A MAN, by dressing like Rambo, and stomping around the forest armed with the latest firepower and looking for "targets" (2 or 4 legged!)?
In Huckabee''s case, how does this "square" with his preacher beliefs (and Fascist GOP agenda) to respect life, ANY LIFE! If I remember my "Genesis" right, didn''t God give man "dominion" over the creatures of the forest. I don''t remember reading anything about Him saying it was OK to blow them away for sport!
Besides, if proving you are a man means shooting animals, wouldn''t it be a better test of a man to go out and try to shot at someone who has the power and brains to shoot back at you? Huckabee and all the Fascist GOP contenders would really prove they were men if they went to Bagdad, picked up an M-16 and really SUPPORTED THE TROOPS, instead of going on a shopping spree and buying rugs!

- %u2018Illegal Aliens%u2019 in Our Midst: What Would Jesus Do?
by Joseph Nevins
With unauthorized immigration a central issue in the presidential campaign and the leading candidates defining themselves as strong adherents to some form of Christianity, the Christmas season is an appropriate time to ask as one person did during the November 28 Republican CNN/YouTube debate in St. Petersburg, Florida, %u201CWhat would Jesus do?%u201D
On the heels of that question, which happened to be about capital punishment, someone asked the candidates if they believed every word of the Bible. The three who responded%u2013Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, and Mitt Romney%u2013indicated in essence that, while one cannot always take the Bible literally, it provides a set of guidelines for how life should be lived.
Undoubtedly, the other major candidates%u2013Democrat and Republican alike%u2013would have answered similarly.
It would seem to follow that these guidelines help explain why these self-avowed believers and many of their fellow Republican candidates cast stones at opponents whom they judge to have erred in the ever-intensifying war against unsanctioned immigration. As for the Democrats, there is no such internal finger-pointing-at least on this matter. Yet what is most striking about discussion of immigration and boundary enforcement is how much agreement there is among all the major candidates of both parties.

Although some people might try to argue that this pro-enforcement consensus flows from a shared commitment to the rule of law, it would be a real stretch to contend that exclusion of people born on one side of the territorial boundaries that divide our world is consistent with biblical teachings.
Unlike President Bush and many others, I cannot claim to be in direct conversation with God. Nonetheless, I find it unimaginable that Jesus would attack anyone for supporting in-state tuition for %u201Cillegals%u201D (as Romney has recently done to Huckabee), or castigate someone for employing workers who crossed a national territorial divide without government sanction (as Giuliani has recently done to Romney). Nor would Jesus pat any candidate%u2019s back for trying to repel %u201Caliens%u201D with walls and fences along the U.S-Mexico boundary and ever-more border and immigration agents (which all major candidates support to varying degrees)%u2013practices that have resulted in thousands of migrant deaths over the last decade, and a huge increase in deportations%u2013and with it, divided families. Indeed, I can%u2019t even envision Jesus accepting %u201Cillegal%u201D or %u201Calien%u201D as terms for classifying human beings.

The parable of Christmas%u2013as it recounts Mary%u2019s and Joseph%u2019s search for shelter%u2013concerns itself with, among other matters, how we treat uninvited guests who arrive on our proverbial doorsteps. And the parable%u2019s message is clear as to what to do. As ordained Baptist minister Mike Huckabee%u2013whose new campaign commercial says %u201Cno%u201D to sanctuary cities and amnesty, and calls for building a border fence%u2013said in St. Petersburg, the Bible teaches us (as do the best traditions of all major religions and humanist ethical codes) to %u201CLove your neighbor as yourself.%u201D
So for those who profess to love God and embrace Jesus and the Bible as their ethical sources, the choice seems obvious: either stop invoking them or, better yet, live up to the principles you claim. This would entail seeing and treating so-called illegals as our brothers, sisters, neighbors, and members of our various communities %u2013as people who are part of us%u2013rather than a %u201Cthem%u201D to be excluded.
Imagine how different the presidential debates and the candidates%u2019 individual platforms surrounding immigration would be if all of us were to take Reverend Huckabee%u2019s words to heart. - Reply to this comment

I don''t care if Ron Paul says the 2nd amendment isn''t about hunting. He''s wrong to some extent. In my research of the 2nd amendment, I found that tending to one''s personal/family needs was one of the factors considered in the scripting of the 2nd amendment. It was a requirement for EVERY able bodied man over the age of 16 to own a firearm. EVERY. There were provisions in place for the man to procure a loan to pay for said firearm if they were not financially able to buy one on their own. The founding fathers understood the need to provide for the table. While some were capable of using other means most all of them used muskets.
The second amendment was put into place so that a person could see to the well-being of him and his as well as the commonwealth. This includes not only defense, but sustenance as well. There was quite a discourse on it at the time. And its a lot more extensive than I can pull from memory.
Ron Paul is a DOCTOR. He is just like Mitt Romney. He may know medicine. He doesn''t know the workings of a hand to mouth society as there was in the founding. - Reply to this comment
- The Second Amendment is not about hunting.
Dr. Ron Paul said it best...
"Tyrants from Hitler to Mao to Stalin have sought to disarm their own citizens, for the simple reason that unarmed people are easier to control. Our Founders, having just expelled the British army, knew that the right to bear arms serves as the guardian of every other right. This is the principle so often ignored by both sides in the gun control debate. Only armed citizens can resist tyrannical government."
