"...Look, I don''t know if the guy is right or wrong, I just know he''s the only honest politician I''ve ever seen..."
CASTIRONSOB

Oh my goodness.

You don''t know if he''s right or wrong, but it doesn''t matter because you believe he''s honest?

Yikes!!!

Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and Bush were all wrong in their fascist visions of the world, but convinced many at the time that they were honestly convicted to the furtherance of it.

I hope you have the clear sense to not fall into yet another simple trap.

POOPUSBUTTUS

Well, have I suckered you into reading about RP yet?
You know that active duty are donating more to RP than ALL the other candidated combined don''t you?

Look, I don''t know if the guy is right or wrong, I just know he''s the only honest politician I''ve ever seen.

We had a Capt. Giles that flew us spooks from Clark to our staging area. He was a straight arrow, meaner than cat ***, uncrackably honest, and he saved our butts more than once. I learned over time that pure honesty is one scariest things you''ll ever see on this Earth. I''ve never respected anyone more.

If what I read about RP''s 30 year record is true, he scares the hell out of me and has earned my respect. I can''t go up against this guy, he''d melt me in my boots!

Like I said, I ain''t gonna study war no more because the only ones who benefit are the moneychangers. There''s got to be another way. The "normal" world is what sounds insane to me now.

Past my bed time now, catch ya on the flip side.

"... Uh yeah.... I agree. This is why I''m a constitutionalist... it doesn''''t provide for any such rights by billionaires. So, in our society can the ultra wealthy dictate policy unconstitutionally? Yes. Why? See the opening statement. ..."
QueryDawg

Oh please QueryDawg. Stop it already. The above direct quote from you makes no sense whatsoever, but having dealt with Libertarians for decades I know exactly what you mean.

Libertarians don''t really "want" a dictatorship or tyranny by the rich and powerful over the poor and weak, but unfortunately The Constitution of the United States of America actually "allows" it.

Gosh.

How unfortunate for the American people.

And we thought we were a Democratic Republic that stood as the leading defender of individual liberty, human rights, and justice for 225 years.

But actually we''ve simply been ignorant of our founding fathers intended purpose that we be just another simple fascist police state, for 225 years.

Sheesh.

Opening Statement:
The founding fathers had a plan for this country. To ensure liberty they devised a system of government for us to follow..... we are not.

"Just because you''''re the one person on the block with a billion dollars doesn''''t give you the right to enslave all others and claim you''''re a repressed minority."

Uh yeah.... I agree. This is why I''m a constitutionalist... it doesn''t provide for any such rights by billionaires. So, in our society can the ultra wealthy dictate policy unconstitutionally? Yes. Why? See the opening statement. It is our lack of respect for the constitution and our complacency with those in the government who assume and abuse the power that is not theirs to begin with that creates this system of corruption you so despise. Yet, you criticize the one person running for office that challenges that corruption..... interesting.

Also, don''t confuse Libertarianism with the Libertarian Party. You say: "Now let me guess. You don''''t want to talk about the Libertarians plans to do away with all public services, including even the most basic needs of a civilized society like public roads, education, and health care?"

Libertarianism says these are not things the (this part is important) FEDERAL government should be involved with. That is not to say we shouldn''t have them. Quality of education has consistently declined since the introduction of the Dept. of Education. Public health care? Go hang out in a VA hospital. Then we can talk again.

"...Any time the federal government gets involved in taking care of us, they screw it up, and at a horrible financial cost. A libertarian can''t take away programs already run by the state."

Wow.

This has to be one of my favorite claims from neocons.

No private corporation could do worse than the government.

Right.

Just look at health care.

And my murdered parents. And the now tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of other loved ones killed by your beloved corporations, who couldn''t do "any worse" than the government.

Well, I think they can do a lot worse.

And so do their dead.

Sometimes I even bother fish. This shocks and offends a large number of my Californian neighbors to the south, and that''s ok."

Well I hope you didn''t move there on a public road, because that would be Libertarian blasphemy.

But I guess so long as you refuse all further public assistance you can redeem yourself.

Well, Searing Truth, as long as you''re around, we know where the good Robin Hood Socialists are. You like Kucinich, and I like Kucinich. I just happen to like Paul a little more, and it''s because he is willing to part with more of the federal government. Ron Paul isn''t running for governor of each of the 50 states, he''s running for president. In Oregon, roads are paid for by gasoline taxes, not federal funds. Education gets worse the more money you throw at it, but typically money for education comes from county property taxes, not the federal government. As for health care, each of the states has medical plans for the poor. The plans aren''t very good, but it is far better for the states to be running the programs than the feds.

Any time the federal government gets involved in taking care of us, they screw it up, and at a horrible financial cost. A libertarian can''t take away programs already run by the state.

Well said Query Dog. Individual rights are so very important. It is also important that people who want to live in a place where abortion is legal get to do so. It is important for people who want to carry guns in their cars to be able to do so. It is important for people who don''t want prayer in school to be able to make that choice.

These individual desires are why there are 50 states, and there should be different states with different laws. The federal government should do very little to interfere in all this.

I moved to a state where I can do the things I want to do, which happens to be Oregon. I sometimes carry a gun around looking for a big animal to eat, and I often drive my SUV in the dirt. Sometimes I even bother fish. This shocks and offends a large number of my Californian neighbors to the south, and that''s ok.
