Wow.
You are full of contradictions and ignorance. Your first quote explains it all. You are anti-constitution because you believe it actually CREATES tyranny. But in your 2nd quote, everyone on your block is going for it, Why? It''s tyrannical! BTW, you are misusing the word fascist. You clearly do not understand the meaning of the word. A decentralized government is the antithesis of fascism and a police state but why quibble over facts, right? Also, you are equally ignorant in your belief that we were a Democratic Republic. Look for that phrase in the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence or the Federalist Papers. Good luck finding it.

- If you like high taxes, big government, and the destruction of our Constitutional rights, then vote for any of the "front runners" in both parties.

- What''s the difference between a Libertarian and an Anarchist: NONE WHATSOEVER.
What is this *** about "shrinking" government because we don''t need it? How the hell are we then going to organize ourselves so we can help each other as a nation?
It''s like this cousin of mine who has the biggest wimps for parents and who was allowed to do as he pleased all his life. His parents'' only job is to supply him with money, and look at the mess he''s right now.
The biggest b.um, most arrogant b.astard I''ve know in my entire life, and his parents are still afraid to confront him.
That''s what Libertarian and Anarchy will do for an entire nation. - Reply to this comment

Hey, has anyone noticed how people are just sending out random feelers and exclaiming "hey, don''t you want change?", without saying what that change would be?
Well, at least the supporters of the ultra fascist Ron Paul aren''t kidding.
You want change?
How about the permanent destruction of the Department of Health and Department of Education?
And evisceration of any judicial officer who didn''t agree that corporate will was natural law.

- The very fact that Paul is not dangling from the strings of crooked corporate America should have him in first place But America will not choose a breath of fresh air, they will go for hype, looks, personality and religious ego. In other words B.S.
You''ve got to lie on that bed for the next four years, take care to make it as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, your recent choices expose you as suckers and a soft touch for con artists.
The opportunity now arises for real change, Paul represents the restoration of freedom from the elite and corrupt who have wrecked millions of lives in middle America. Will you take it ?? I doubt it !
Maybe, five years down the line when your drowning in the mire and you look at the apocalyptic scenes, as in Detroit, of your industrial base will you finally come to your senses. - Reply to this comment
- "I think Ron Paul is honest, AND I agree with him. Libertarian ideas are definitely on the rise in this country, and the mere fact that Ron Paul is getting publicity is a very good thing. If you''''re disillusioned with the typical Republicans and Democrats, and if you long for the restoration of property rights and lower taxes in this country, AND if you support civil liberties fully, then CHECK OUT RON PAUL."

Hmmm....
Which Libertarian ideals on the rise are you talking about?
The ones against public roads, food inspection, health care, or simply food for the starving themselves?
No one on my block is holding a party for the fascist absolution of our American ideals.
Instead they''re going for The Constitution of the United States of America.
Go figure.

Oh my goodness.
You don''t know if he''s right or wrong, but it doesn''t matter because you believe he''s honest?
Yikes!!!
Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and Bush were all wrong in their fascist visions of the world, but convinced many at the time that they were honestly convicted to the furtherance of it.
I hope you have the clear sense to not fall into yet another simple trap.

Well, have I suckered you into reading about RP yet?
You know that active duty are donating more to RP than ALL the other candidated combined don''t you?
Look, I don''t know if the guy is right or wrong, I just know he''s the only honest politician I''ve ever seen.
We had a Capt. Giles that flew us spooks from Clark to our staging area. He was a straight arrow, meaner than cat ***, uncrackably honest, and he saved our butts more than once. I learned over time that pure honesty is one scariest things you''ll ever see on this Earth. I''ve never respected anyone more.
If what I read about RP''s 30 year record is true, he scares the hell out of me and has earned my respect. I can''t go up against this guy, he''d melt me in my boots!
Like I said, I ain''t gonna study war no more because the only ones who benefit are the moneychangers. There''s got to be another way. The "normal" world is what sounds insane to me now.

Oh please QueryDawg. Stop it already. The above direct quote from you makes no sense whatsoever, but having dealt with Libertarians for decades I know exactly what you mean.
Libertarians don''t really "want" a dictatorship or tyranny by the rich and powerful over the poor and weak, but unfortunately The Constitution of the United States of America actually "allows" it.
Gosh.
How unfortunate for the American people.

- Opening Statement:
The founding fathers had a plan for this country. To ensure liberty they devised a system of government for us to follow..... we are not.
"Just because you''''re the one person on the block with a billion dollars doesn''''t give you the right to enslave all others and claim you''''re a repressed minority."
Uh yeah.... I agree. This is why I''m a constitutionalist... it doesn''t provide for any such rights by billionaires. So, in our society can the ultra wealthy dictate policy unconstitutionally? Yes. Why? See the opening statement. It is our lack of respect for the constitution and our complacency with those in the government who assume and abuse the power that is not theirs to begin with that creates this system of corruption you so despise. Yet, you criticize the one person running for office that challenges that corruption..... interesting.
Also, don''t confuse Libertarianism with the Libertarian Party. You say: "Now let me guess. You don''''t want to talk about the Libertarians plans to do away with all public services, including even the most basic needs of a civilized society like public roads, education, and health care?"
Libertarianism says these are not things the (this part is important) FEDERAL government should be involved with. That is not to say we shouldn''t have them. Quality of education has consistently declined since the introduction of the Dept. of Education. Public health care? Go hang out in a VA hospital. Then we can talk again. - Reply to this comment

Wow.
This has to be one of my favorite claims from neocons.
No private corporation could do worse than the government.
Right.
Just look at health care.
And my murdered parents. And the now tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of other loved ones killed by your beloved corporations, who couldn''t do "any worse" than the government.
Well, I think they can do a lot worse.
And so do their dead.

Well I hope you didn''t move there on a public road, because that would be Libertarian blasphemy.
But I guess so long as you refuse all further public assistance you can redeem yourself.

- Well, Searing Truth, as long as you''re around, we know where the good Robin Hood Socialists are. You like Kucinich, and I like Kucinich. I just happen to like Paul a little more, and it''s because he is willing to part with more of the federal government. Ron Paul isn''t running for governor of each of the 50 states, he''s running for president. In Oregon, roads are paid for by gasoline taxes, not federal funds. Education gets worse the more money you throw at it, but typically money for education comes from county property taxes, not the federal government. As for health care, each of the states has medical plans for the poor. The plans aren''t very good, but it is far better for the states to be running the programs than the feds.

- Well said Query Dog. Individual rights are so very important. It is also important that people who want to live in a place where abortion is legal get to do so. It is important for people who want to carry guns in their cars to be able to do so. It is important for people who don''t want prayer in school to be able to make that choice.
These individual desires are why there are 50 states, and there should be different states with different laws. The federal government should do very little to interfere in all this.
