Well, at least the attempted intimidation tactic didn''''t work, there will probably be some back door money floating to the judge.

I doubt if the result of this hearing will be charges of obstruction of justice against those who caused the evidence to be destroyed, at best, some low level secretary will be disciplined as a sacrifice.

Pit, at one time in my life I was the engineering officer on a guided missile cruiser. Used JP-5 to run the boilers (also used in some jets). The temperature inside the box was 4,500F and the metal had to be protected with special fire brick and or water flow. That is where my guess on the temperature comes from......

Pit, I do not think any design included a plane full of jet gas. Pretty catastrophic.

Temperatures were probably around 4,000F or more. The theories that I have seen said much of the concrete vaporized and the horizontal steel sagged putting 2x weight on the next floor''s horizontal supports. Thus, accordian.
