Loony? Why don''''t you guys sit down and figure out how much money the American people have paid to the bankers of the Federal Reserve.

Way too much but the neo cons are so lock step that they would never see it.

Lobbyists have introduced spoilage into the idea of representative democracy i.e. one vote for every adult shareholder in america and soon if something doesn''t change course it will clearly be a privatized multinational corporate influenced nation where the election process as long as one continues will be one vote for every share OWNED. The elite so called "conservatives" feel they are owed a bigger piece of the pie observable when they whine about paying all the taxes but when the future feeding frenzy commences most of them will be consumed by the ensuing monopolization and corporate hostile takeover of what once was the United States.

Now much of what we had has been compromised and the bones of our infrastructure are depleted of calcium. Libertarianism has provided many of the core ideological principles of the neo con movement. Ron Paul wants to take us back to the early days of Reagan ideological meth use but there is no going back because what was is no longer with the current tapped infrastructure. Wealth has concentrated. The push for privatization continues from ideological junkies but with larger corporate wealth and influence Wall street style elections loom. This situation came about in the name of "freedom" and "less government".

Ron Paul is a long time neo con era Reaganite who is trying to separate himself from the failures of this ideology. Think of this as a 2.5 long decade scenario of meth drug use. It was a fun ride, quite a high to drain the infrastructure and advocate spending it on corporate orgies of greed with most individuals inspired by a false sense of being able to reach the carrot on the stick. Now many of the republican followers are strung out and the euphoria is gone. Rather than to think outside the right wing matrix they want to go back to the nostalgic era when it felt good to be high on ideology and no negative consequences of neo con republican corporate libertarianism was apparent.

I guess the money still works that the federal reserve prints in spite or RP and his followers criticism of it. RP supporters apparently have enough faith in it to believe in what it will buy for RP.

If you like big government, high taxes, and the destruction of our Constitutional rights, then Ron Paul is not for you.

Posted by gunownerdan at 01:59 PM : Dec 17, 2007-------------------This is why I''ve backed away from Huckabee. Dude likes the tax ladder going UP! He''s the most deceptive candidate for ''08. The ones that hide behind the Bible usually are unfortunately.

johnnysnot,......l8c6 is a "globalist troll". I''''ve been there. Tangling with such a person will get you no where,.....except it is good ideological exercise to thicken your skin and others so to speak.

Just like the blue skies amendment calling me a globalist is as dishonest. Neo Cons are anti-american sleezeballs. Ron Paul continues the right wing tradition. Snakes in the grass.

Naw Thisandthat, they will move their money onto their next loony cause. They were putting their money into the 9/11 conspiracy campaign (where they believe the governement actually attacked the twin towers) before Paul and just moved their cash to him. As Paul himself quipped, a political loony and his money are soon parted.

l8c6,
Being for Net neutrality is one thing. Being for the Net Neutrality bill is quite another. The bill itself provided for Internet regulations by government and Ron Paul saw the bill as a ''concession'' that the government had ''authority'' for Internet taxation. He himself concedes that that the subject of net neutrality is a complicated one admits it''s difficult to grasp the technical aspects of it, but he understood the precedent that government regulations as written in the bill would cause and voted against it. I''d give him the benefit of the doubt and not and insist he''s a pawn of special interests.

LOL. Let''s see, Ron Paul acquired 5 million bucks and still has almost no voters. Huckabee still has almost no money and acquired 5 million new voters. Gee, I think Huckabee''s strategy is working. (I also wonder if this Paul haul will largely come from unauthorized credit charges like the last one did. OOPS!).

l8c6,
I believe your mistaken. Ron Paul is for Net neutrality, hence his long ago invitation to speak at Google--your youtube link didn''t work by the way. Ron Paul is for less government... Less, and by the people. Currently the power of democracy in the US is a facade and it strange how many people don''t see this? The reality is a corporate sponsored oligarchy of the incredibly rich. "Give me the power to coin the money and I care not who controls the reins of government"--Amschel Meyer Rothschild. It has gotten absolutely out of control and the way the federal government exists now provides for the overall transfer of wealth to the rich. Americans pay interest on their OWN money, and it goes to the rich bankers who own the Federal reserve. They don''t care which government borrows the money as long as the American people pay the interest on it with their taxes. And the more money the government owes the less value the money has, making people poorer everyday. It is the most important and the underlying factor that is destroying America and If you haven''t realized that now then I feel sorry for you. Is there any other candidate that talks about this??? No because most are the corporate shills. Ron Paul''s trying to stop the insanity and only voting for him will.
