- The salvation of the world is when all christians and all muslims (the two most aggressive violent religions) admit that their prophet stories, their origin stories, their books of behavior, are all made up by a bunch of manipulative old men who wanted to have their way. Those guys were evil! Hey, everyone knows it. Of course the dude in the ''hood wants everyone to behave his way! Hey, that''s religion 101. Do you need great scholarship to understand the underpinnings of religious phenomena? NO.

Since the other candidates don''''t have anything to say on what they can do for America, they take the easy road and resort to taking cheap shots at Mike. Don%u2019t fall into their trap any longer with negative attacks, let''''s show the critics and the naysayers that Americans have pride and we are ready to elect an honest, humble, trustworthy man for US President. - Reply to this comment

- Here''s a quote from the OFFICIAL Latter Day Saint website. Doesn''t mean Romney isn''t qualified to be President... but it does show that Huckabee''s question wasn''t totally ridiculous.
On first hearing, the doctrine that Lucifer and our Lord, Jesus Christ, are brothers may seem surprising to some%u2014especially to those unacquainted with latter-day revelations. But both the scriptures and the prophets affirm that Jesus Christ and Lucifer are indeed offspring of our Heavenly Father and, therefore, spirit brothers. Jesus Christ was with the Father from the beginning. Lucifer, too, was an angel %u201Cwho was in authority in the presence of God,%u201D a %u201Cson of the morning.%u201D (See Isa. 14:12; D&C 76:25%u201327.) Both Jesus and Lucifer were strong leaders with great knowledge and influence. But as the Firstborn of the Father, Jesus was Lucifer%u2019s older brother. (See Col. 1:15; D&C 93:21.)

oh really. preachers are the best manipulators, look at how rich in money they are. taking from the poor for their own personal gain. i have often thought about becoming a preacher. what a cool way to have power and money.

Yes, these folks find great monetary reward with their tax free status. The early days of the republic viewed long established religions not considering the future loop hole for the swine that run stadium sized mega churches.
The brewing problem in our current socioeconomic system is that reward doesn''t come to the honest. It is a rigged system that rewards drug dealers, pornographers, media garbage hoes, false preacher men and women, and the rest of lying unethical swine that society should not attempt to reason with but most certainly for the sake of survival needs to set limits on. - Reply to this comment
- Dear jcr103,
Whatever you say about christian living I will accept because i know nothing about that (despite being happy and successful with a great wife and a wonderful dog and contributing to the greater good in several ways.) What I will say is that any christian who denigrates Mormons because of their doctrine are fundamentally hypocritical, because their own doctrine is every bit as false as every christian doctrine. A prophet here or there, a sacred docoment here or there. Do any of you people actually think? Have you travelled to places where a rink-a-dink prophet or a rink-a-dink- text were never introduced? Should these folks flame in hell? (No, they will will laugh their assess off at you self-importance.) Get a life. Learn about history and culture and evolution. - Reply to this comment
- Huckabee, Ron Paul, Rudy and McCain. All sing the praises of Reagan and the early days of right wing republican economic meth use that led to the now strung out socioeconomic conditions that are brewing in the Homeland.

- The irony is that most Mormons I''ve known are more Christain in the sense of living by the teachings of Christ than the supposed Christains who put them down because they of their own intolerance.

- Dear Everyone,
Listin to y''all! Arguing up and down about presidential candidates based on nothing but religious fables and bluff and might. At least I''ve learned that bdrlnt4rl has a sense of humor. The more important issue to everyone might be that if we are choosing presidential candidates based on the views expressed in these posts, then we are all lost. - Reply to this comment

- And, on the other hand, Huckabee took a cheap shot at someone''s religion. If he did that in an election campaign, he has done it in his personal life. Cheap shot intended to clue voters in to discriminate against Mormons to polarize the vote in his favor.
What is Huckabee religion? It''s easy to take pot shots at religious faiths but it''s a cheap shot for sure.
Romney didn''t have a good comeback. He should have asked Huckabee what faith he belongs to that would approve of discrimination of anyone who follows a faith. He should have asked publicly and outright what kind of person devalues someone''s faith when they haven''t taken the time to study it to know what from what not.
Politicians can take a flying leap along with all the religious leaders and the academic scholars. Go bye bye somewhere where we don''t have to hear your b.s. anymore so you can be rich and famous and pampered while foster children live like sh-t. They are all full of b.s. - Reply to this comment
- What a couple of fairies. This is a page out of the Bush playbook. Politics is a dirty game nowadays. Adding religion to it makes it even filthier.
