I don''t have anything against Huckabee for being Southern or Christian, and anyone who does is simply a bigot. But 95% of Arkansans knew Wayne DuMond didn''t deserve a parole, and the parole board should never have let the Huckster influence them. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to oppose Huckabee, and lots of Arkansans can list them for you.

Have any of you ever driven through Arkansas on I-40? It''s littered with big COMMERCIAL SIGNS with bible versus "Spare the rod and spoil the child" plastered all over the highways! I wonder if that was a Huckabee initiative?

Wayne DuMond had not killed the first girl he raped and would not make that mistake again. This time he killed the two he raped in Missouri. The two in Missouri would still be alive if Huckabee had not played a role in DuMond''s release from prison.

Christianity isn''t the problem. It is blind followers who vote for government administrators based on not their skill but their alleged religious beliefs. Thanks to the ''anti-abortion'' evangelical vote, we got stuck with Bush whose actions led to the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent people.
And what has he done to reduce even one abortion?
Nothing. Zip. Nada.

So when millions of evangelicals vote strictly on religious grounds, they are doing the exact opposite of what our founding fathers intended. Even they knew the dangers of mixing politics and religion.
Fox News does not.

Standard negative attack issue 101insert name of Governor running for President;

Look the bottom line is that

The Republican candidate who will win the nomination is the mainstream candidate who comes out as the anti Bush candidates. Unless and until they take on the Bush Blunders directly and tell the American People why they are not part of a rampant corrupt and incompetent Party, they will not jell with the voters and no Republican who does not can win the General. They must disavow and reject all things Bush and Cheney or loose.

hmm how about it ....

My question is, where is Mr. Huckabee''s outrage over the lies of this administration? As a proponent of Christianity and all things evil, his stance holds no creditability with me until he acknowledges it.

Not one republican candidate has the wherewithall, to stand up for what everyone in this country knows is DEAD WRONG!

parrot2: All religions at one time or another have been termed cults. And the present day status of organized religion even more creates this image. Too many people equate being a Christian to religious and vice versa. And being Christian, I take offense to this. While religious types find God in a building, I find Him in His Word and Promise. And it''s time folks differentiate between the two. So let us not lump all into one barrel.

Excuse me, but we are not idiots. Referring us to a Salon.com web article about a Republican is like referring somebody to a KKK article about blacks.

This is one of the dumbest "news stories" I''ve seen in a while. As his press sec. said, "Governor Huckabee had no authority to grant parole to Wayne Dumond or anyone else -- governors don%u2019t have that authority in the parole process".

This is a classic example of the liberal news media making news instead of reporting it.

I wonder if Chuck Norris will be issuing a statement soon about Huckabee setting a rapist free?

It won''t matter to the neocons. As long as he carries a bible and a fetus in a jar, they''ll vote for him.

...so basically the wingnuts, driven by blind Clinton hatred, pushed to get a rapist out of jail who then went on to rape and murder at least one person. Once again all your principles are thrown out the window (in this case being tough on crime) for partisan political posturing.

And all you can do is blame Clinton, make excuses, or change the subject. Pathetic.

Ron Paul is not right wing, left wing, middle of the road or any of that nonsense. He wants to save the middle class from a bloated federal government and big corporate interests.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Ron Paul or any of his supporters making these ridiculous claims can explain how he will pay off the national debt, maintain national security (military) et al, with out increasing taxes or destroying the middle class completely and devastating the working poor he might have some credibility.
If he/they would explain how he would collect these taxes without the IRS it would help.
Eliminating income taxes based on individual earnings and instituting a national sales tax would devastate the working poor.
