60-Year-Old Vermonter To March Through 8 States To Washington To Lobby Against Bush, Cheney
- MichaetT302, thanks for that great post where you show that Republicans are more mentally healthy than Democrats. I went to that clearly impartial link%u2026
http://www.gallup.com/poll/102943/Republicans-Report-Much-Better-Mental-Health-Than-Others.aspx
and read it all.
It reveals what I suspected for years. Democrats are unhappy, bitter, angry, and chronically mentally unstable. Mental illness is rampant among liberals. And, because they are mentally ill, they don%u2019t even know it. They have no idea how they appear to the rest of us. It%u2019s sad that most of them do not seek the help they so desperately need. - Reply to this comment
- A roundup of Gallup health polls over the past four years finds that Republicans are far more likely than Democrats to report having excellent mental health.
The survey found that 58 percent of Republicans polled reported having excellent mental health. Only 38 percent of Democrats and 43 percent of Independents reported the same.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/102943/Republicans-Report-Much-Better-Mental-Health-Than-Others.aspx
The study concluded it was unclear why there was such a strong correlation, but the relationship between party affiliation and mental health was virtually constant even within categories of income, age, gender and other factors.
"The reason the relationship exists between being a Republican and more positive mental health is unknown, and one cannot say whether something about being a Republican causes a person to be more mentally healthy or whether something about being mentally healthy causes a person to choose to become a Republican," the study said.
The study speculated that the fact that Republicans have on average higher incomes than members of others parties could play a factor. But in the study, even Republicans making less than $50,000 a year reported having excellent health far more than Democrats earning the same.
The study was based on interviews with 4,014 American adults who were at least 18 years old, conducted from November 2004 through 2007. The margin of error was 2 percent. (we''ve all known that Liberalism is a Mental Disorder for years now) - Reply to this comment
- Something very pointed, true and perceptive from one of my favorite people: Gore Vidal:
Reason requires that we explain to the media and to this self-anointed %u201Cwar-time president%u201D whose %u201Cinherent%u201D powers, to hear him babble, transcend the Constitution itself. But they can%u2019t: First, we are not at war with another country; second, presidential powers are enumerated in the constitution, not inherent--despite the weird legal misreadings by ambulance-proud White House lawyers.
Nevertheless, our neo-totalitarians are planning new wars in the Middle East, Far East, Conga Line! while his latest State of the Union speech justifies eavesdropping (without judicial warrants) on anybody in the United States that he wants to listen in on. This is what we call dictatorship. Dictatorship. Dictatorship. And it is time we objected before he shoves us into World War Three. - Reply to this comment

- He should call for Pelosi and Reid to be impeached. They got control of Congress under false pretenses. Not a single one of their promises has seen any hope of actually being presented. Plus, they hold our troops hostage by threatening to withhold the money they need to continue making headway in Iraq. TREASONOUS!

- Pathetic Democratic "leadership" is right.
I stood out in front of the Federal Building yesterday with an impeach Bush sign.
Everyone should be doing this. It is the only way to convince these POS in Congress that We Are the People. - Reply to this comment
- I wish John Nirenberg the best of luck - but given the pathetic Democratic "leadership" in Congress - nothing good will happen from his good efforts.

I agree nothing good will be done, but don%u2019t be surprised when those of little or no character or morals denigrate John Nirenberg and his patriotic actions just as they did with Cindy Sheehan, the lady who lost her son in the Iraq fiasco, and also chose to speak out.
When they can%u2019t defend that which is being protested, they immediately attack the protester.
The sad part is it, too often, works - Reply to this comment
- KUDOS TO NIRENBERG - we all need to walk behind him. When are people going to stand up and DEMAND ACTION from our elected officials? Impeach Bush and Cheney!

- I have been saying for months that Americans are lazy and won''t get off their butts and stand up for their country.
I apologize to John Nirenberg, he isn''t lazy. I applaud him for having the guts to do what needs to be done.
I wonder if there are more people out there that have the guts to join him? - Reply to this comment
