Comments on: Huckabee: Abortion Not State Issue
GOP Candidate Says It Is Moral Question That Doesn't Allow For Multiple Interpretations
- First off, Duncan Hunter is the best candidate. Secondly, I would go with Huckabee. It appears Hunter isn''t making the effort to gain support, so it looks like I''m most likely going to be backing Huckabee. I like a person who puts the effort in without having to rely on others to carry their load. Seems Huckabee is this MAN.
Maybe, hopefully, Hunter will kick it in here in the next day or two. Time is running out. - Reply to this comment
- Regarding slavery, today''s social conscience recognizes that the practice is barbaric, and contrary to anyone''s God given human rights. Therefore, it is not a far stretch to insist that government sanctioned infanticide also flies in the face of God given human rights, amounting to nothing better than genocide of a class of human beings; those being the most helpless and voiceless in our midst. This is an issue which pits one State against another, depending on how each State rules and which serves to ignore the human-rights plight of a class of people. This is exactly the role of the Federal Government, to step in where necessary, to eliminate the ability for individual states to interfere with the greatest law of the land, the law of God given human rights. We know that the Federal Government must be reeled in from involving itself in issues where it has no business to, but this issue of abortion, and apply the proper role of Federal authority is a common sense approach, and it is a position that does not violate the overriding notion of State determination.

Of course I am. Anytime some speaks the truth, and outs the lefties, they like the Billary Clintoids have to smear, stiffle and well, shut them up. Right ozzie with a little "o"? - Reply to this comment
- The world is heading for severe overpopulation. The big wars of the 21st century will be fought over land, water & food. This planet cannot support all of humanity as it''''s growing. Hopefully you''''re young enough to suffer from it as I''''ll be dead. However; I plan on looking tyou up in hell to see how you fare!

The world is not heading for severe overpopulation the same way it''s not overheating. You people buy into this babble. Check the birth rates in Europe -- extremely low. Russia is offering money to married couples as incentives to procreate. It''s not the only country. Europe is repleat with Muslims not Europeans. I''m not worried about the planet. I''m not worried about all the people. - Reply to this comment

- RON PAUL WINS NATIONAL ZOGBY POLL
The results of a nationwide telephone poll, announced by Zogby on November 19th, reveals that a sizeable majority of Americans are looking to vote for a candidate who protects liberty; who wants to shrink government; and who wants to immediately withdraw our troops from Iraq - all positions taken by Texas Congressman Ron Paul. As part of a blind, spread poll commissioned by Jones Productions, respondents were provided with descriptions of four different candidates and asked to choose who they would vote for based on each one''s attributes and political platform. 32.8% of pollees chose Ron Paul, 18.6% chose Rudy Giuliani, 12.6% chose Fred, while only 15.1% went for Mitt Romney. The results clearly illustrate that the country is crying out for Ron Paul, which is why mainstream media has launched a PR offensive to marginalize his campaign accomplishments and suppress the Congressman''s name recognition. The sample used for the poll had mainly never or rarely used Web sites popular with Ron Paul supporters, such as You Tube, MySpace and Facebook, showing that if those types of Internet users had been more fairly represented, the numbers would be even more in favor of the Congressman. In a seperate question, over 49% of pollees said they would be more likely to vote for a candidate who would begin an immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Zogby indicated that, due to the high level of interest in the poll, they will be issuing a press release on Nov 20th. - Reply to this comment
- RON PAUL FIGHTS FOR THE RIGHT TO LIFE
Unlike Clinton and the so-called GOP frontrunner, Giuliani, Dr. Paul fights for the right of an innocent, unborn child. He believes the right to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty. His professional and legislative record demonstrates his strong commitment to this pro-life principle. In 40 years of medical practice, he never once considered performing an abortion, nor did he ever find abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman. In Congress, he authored legislation that seeks to define life as beginning at conception (HR 1094). He is also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn. He also authored HR 1095, which prevents federal funds to be used for population control. Many other GOP candidates, except Giuliani, talk about being pro-life. Ron Paul took direct action to restore protection for the unborn. As an OB/GYN doctor, he delivered over 4,000 babies. That experience made him an unshakable foe of abortion. Many of you may have his book, Challenge To Liberty, which champions the idea that there cannot be liberty in a society unless the rights of all innocents are protected. Ron Paul respects the dignity of human life. - Reply to this comment

- Attorney General, who will base all law on Leviticus! Imagine his Surgeon General who will use faith healing as a preferred method of combating infectious diseases. Of course with Mike''''s pro Rapture stance, we won''''t have to worry about any of our little problems like the deficit, war, and terrorism.

LOL, blancadebree. Law based on Leviticus should be interesting. I think there are going to be a whole lot of folks in trouble, including, most Republicans! - Reply to this comment
- In a separate interview aired Sunday, Thompson said Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision allowing legal abortion, should be overturned, with states allowed to decide whether to permit abortions. "We need to remember what the status was before Roe v. Wade," he said.

Yes, we do need to remember what the status was before Roe v. Wade. Dead women, sterile women, scarred women, abandoned babies, orphanages, etc.
In survey after survey, roughly 75pct of Americans want abortion to remain legal, and that same percentage opposes overturning Roe. I actually think Mike is a decent fellow, probably too decent to be in politics, but then he is from Arkansas, so maybe not. - Reply to this comment
