Agreed, and those pretending that they will stop the madness will suffer from the all too prevalent post election amnesia.
Perhaps it is time to go after the money behind the politicians, the puppeteers, as well as the puppets, because it is obvious that when we cut the strings of one puppet, they simply buy another.
I refer to Bechtel Corp, Halliburton, Blackwater, GE, and the rest of the war contractors. A glance through the Dow Jones 30 industrials should give a good list of whom we could loudly target for pickets and boycotts, along with the politicians in their pockets. - Reply to this comment

- Don''''t blame those who are trying to fix the mess Sparky, blame those who CREATED the mess. Sieg Heil Bush!

We will also blame those in power now whose actions or inactions PERPETUATE this mess. That would be the Democrats. When evil is afoot--2 types of people help it to flourish: those who actively defend and support it--and those who do nothing. Whining about not having a majority then signing over the store accomplishes the same thing as just giving Bush the money in the first place. Forget party loyalties--blame all who fail to stop the evil and the madness. That would be many of the Democrats as well as many of the Republicans--no free ride. And no excuses for either party. The party faithful always excuse their own.
The Democrats never explained why they re-approved the Patriot act and spying, and why they did not rescind the war crimes immunity or why they never challenged Bush''s ignoring of subpoenas or turning over of emails. They are in it up to their necks also--and they have done nothing to stop this war. Except complain, whine and talk about what they would do--if they had more votes. Their weaknesses are many--one being their failure to stand firm--whether they won or lost. They need that supplement of Fiore''s "Spinocrat" To give them a backbone. - Reply to this comment
- MCVet, you have a problem. Your handle has been stolen. Your evil twin was ranting at me over on the Wildfires article. Below is copy pasted from that article. [Sorry to barge in on the comments.]

McVet does NOT have a problem. The fact is--that everyone who posts on these boards who is not a newbie--KNOW the difference between McVett and McVet--one is the real deal--the other an imposter--and only the unwary would not know the difference and not understand the scam. Posters get flamed or impersonated all the time--we can tell which is which just by the tenor of the post. - Reply to this comment
- If it is wrong and bad for the country that is what Bush and Cheney do. Have they done anything other than suppress the truth on any matter of concern to the nation? No. Nothing Bush does will surprise me. I will have the first real hope for the country when he is gone, gone, gone for good. With Bush as president it means continually finding out the crimes and outrages he and his administration are doing, and seeing that no action is ever taken to stop them. This is because the republicans continue to protect their corrupt leaders regardless of their own intelligence and integrity.
