THE UNITED STATES DEFEATED GERMANY AND JAPAN IN TWO SEPARATE THEATERS AND BROUGHT ABOUT THEIR UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDERS IN LESS TIME THAN IT''''S TAKING BUSH TO SECURE THE CITY OF BAGDHAD. TO IMAGINE A COUNTRY CAN DEFEAT TERRORISM AS THOUGH SOMEONE IS ACTUALLY GOING TO SURRENDER IS DILLUSIONAL.

Imagine what we could do as a country if the entire country backed the President like they did in WW II. What''s pathetic is not the war being fought in Afghanistan and Iraq, but the war fought in the country over lets lose the war.

Now, muddy, I come from a hillbilly background. Don''t go giving these liberals a name of someone who holds to high moral values such as the hillbilly. Hillbillies may be under educated and poor, but they do stick to their moral values. They''ll also look their enemy in the eye, as well as their friend. ;)

Sounds to me like Laden''s beginning to get desperate. Keep at''m Prez.

McCain is dead right on this one.

Victory could actually be achieve if the Iraqi people would come to realize that each other (Sunnis/Shiites) nor the US is the aggressor, but rather Al Qaeda and the fundamentals

...But the Bush administration is far too naive and ineffective to pull that kind of stunt

Al Qaeda Dealt Devastating Blow in Iraq

DEMONIC-RATS NEVER LEARN AS THEY REWARD THE GRASSHOPPER AND TAX THE ANT

The Ant and the Grasshopper

In a field one summer''s day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart''s content. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest.

"Why not come and chat with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?"

"I am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same."

"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; we have got plenty of food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil. When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer. Then the Grasshopper knew:

It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.

We should put the petty revisionist history aside and come together as a nation and develop a new and more rational plan for confronting the threat posed by his organization.

Truly, I wish this country were capable of the kind of dialogue you are talking about. However, the fact remains that if the Democrats had had the White House for the last 8 years and bin Laden were still releasing tapes, republicans would be having a hissy fit all over the place and they''d be assured total victory in 2008 based on the mere fact that bin Laden had not been captured. If you think about it, you know this is true. This country is not capable of rational discourse, and those who attempt it, are automatically irrelevant.
