Calls For Democratic Candidate To Cut Ties With Gospel Singer
- Singinrick, the most devout Christian I ever knew use to tell me, "It''s the empty barrel that makes the most noise."
I gotta say, after looking through these posts, she''s made a believer out of me. You win the empty barrel prize! LOL! - Reply to this comment
- rick,
I called you haters after you called me a liar and intimated that I was a phony Christian because I comprehend a different truth than you. Your words make it clear that you are a hater.
All your words do not come from scripture and you have yet to show where Christ said homosexuality was a sin because he didn''t. But that''s ok. - Reply to this comment
- The lbgt community is well known group advocating for the advancement of homosexual rights ,freedoms, and recognition much akin to the peta group in lobbying the government and law makers in their self intrests and ldeals. No biggy, just another one of the hordes of self serving delusional people who want it their way. By the way , is the "hippy" part of your post name equated with the free love, flower power 60''''s movement ?

Well that was a really negative out look on the LGBT community. Yeah I do identify alot of values from that era although I did not grow up in it.
I do know the bible well, got sent to bible camp and behavior modification to fix my sinful ways when I was 14 on 4 different occasions. So I know your kind I was raised by them, and they are wonderful parents who would do anything for me. Do they accept me, no..but they love me..
I am most encouraged though by christians that are like my wife''s parents. She is a preacher''s kid..
And they open their arms in love to us both and our children, their grandchildren. They don''t feel the need to proselytize to us. - Reply to this comment
- Singinrick -- you live in a democracy, not a theocracy. Like it or not, you do not get to impose your moral beliefs on the rest of us anymore than we are entitled to impose our beliefs on you. You, of all people, should honor and respect the values upon which this country was founded. Instead, you actively argue in favor of inequality under the law, which our Constitution forbids. You can say all you want about how many founding members of our Constitutional government were Christian, but the fact remains, they and many, many other noble Americans fought, bled and died to have a government that would not impose a particular religion or belief system on the people, but would respect the right of each individual to believe and to practice (or not) as he or she chooses. You really should be ashamed of yourself for advocating the kind of government that could ultimately lead to outlawing the practice of your own faith. People like you are dangerous to freedom and a threat to the values and principals that make ours the greatest country on earth. I hope you will reconsider and recognize that it is possible for civilized and free people to respectfully disagree without depriving each other of their civil rights.

- So you can say what you want, but the power of the Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit has helped many former homosexuals come to know Him, and I have experienced it first hand seeing a homosexual come to know Christ and repent of his sins.

Rick a homosexual can be who they are and still be Christian...
The way you look at it, its just like any other sin...
We are all sinners right..doesn''t make them any less christian.. - Reply to this comment
- singinrick - the bible isn''''t a tool to manipulate your beliefs on me. My journey is just THAT an individual journey with Jesus Christ....
Once I asked him into my heart and asked for his foregiveness - I was a child of god. I still am everyday - and I''''m sorry you aren''''t comfortable loving and accepting Gods creation......
Judge lest ye be judged........your interpretations aren''''t mine - if we all read it the same their would be one Protestant religion instead of 33,000.

I think I have agreed to disagree with you.
Do you understand that by witnessing so vehemently that you actually turn people off?

Everyone deserves basic human rights...so sad that you are so hatefilled that you need to criticize someone who is just different from you.... - Reply to this comment
- singinrick,
When I taught the Bible the subject of homosexuality never came up because I was too busy teaching kids to love their neighbor as themselves, to let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I focused on Jesus and what he preached to us.
You say Jesus is God. Who was he talking to on the cross when he asked'' Father, why have you forsaken me?" You think you, and only you and those who agree with you on this issue, have all the answers and all the correct interpretations, and clearly you don''t.
You say that you answer all questions yet you still haven''t answered mine, where does Jesus say that homosexuality is a sin? I''m not ridiculing you, I haven''t called YOU a liar or intimated that you aren''t a true Christian. When people question you it''s hate and being anti-Christian but when you call others names, question their faith, seemingly root against their salvation, what are you being?
You say that you are not without sin but are righteous and those of us who don''t agree with you are sinful and controlled by evil. Whose ridiculing whom? - Reply to this comment
