I''ll tell you why. Because Jesus said, "No man can come to Me unless the Father draws Him." God is drawing Iceman to Jesus. That''s why he can''t stop inquiring. He has had enough of the seed of the word of God planted in his heart from earlier times and that word is alive. God is drawing you to Jesus Iceman!! There is a battle going on in the heavenlies for your soul. I''m gonna pray for you Iceman. - Reply to this comment

There are a thousand different ways that could have happened.
A ship could have sunk and the debris could have been scattered after thousands of years.
Or maybe the Tooth Fairy put them there. - Reply to this comment
- So the real question is are the Republicans fit to be commander and chief. Well, I vote no look at what we have now.
McCain said Clinton had recently tried to spend $1 million on a Woodstock Museum, commemorating perhaps the most famous counterculture event of the 1960s.
And it was one of the greatest cultural events of the 1960''s
Now what did you get a trillion dollars for oh yes, Iraq war the war that was based on a lie. Remember the WMD oh you think we forgot about it did you wrong. Now you morons want to attack Iran, remember the boy who cried wolf once too often the wolf got him.
But what I want to know is what you are selling the three leaders all they do is talk about Hillary. They say this and that but they don''t really talk about anything else.
An example they call it socialized medicine and yet it is not in fact it is like what they propose wait after she proposed it. My mistake they came up with it after the fact and just like good CEO''s they take the credit. At least she wants out of Iraq and to help children.
MaCain before you go tossing stones at someone for spending wanting to spend a million dollars get us out of Iraq and quit spending 520 million dollars per day. You people must think we are morons but you day is coming so don''t worry about it. - Reply to this comment

I used to believe the same way you do. I remember in grade school in our biology books, the progressive pictures showing the tadpole(or whatever), then the dog and horse and then the chimpanze, the gorilla, the cave man, and then the normal man. by the way, whats next? Brainwashing going on in the fifties in good ole Indiana. This is the kind of BALOGNE that science comes up with and everybody said, "Well, its in the textbook, I suppose its true." There has never been even one "missing link" found anywhere, not even on the moon. You choose to bank your existence on this nonsense?? - Reply to this comment

- "Just like in the Spring of this year, the tomb of King Herod was unearthed. King Herod, being the king when Jesus was born." - singinrick
Yeah, that late in the Bible you do meet more historical figures. There really was a Herod.
But the early history in the Bible, has been demolished by archaeology.
Not just the secular archaeologists.
Religious people have searched in vain for the slightest trace left by 600,000 Israelites wandering in the Wilderness for 40 years.
Nor do the meticulous records of ancient Egypt make any mention of the alleged bloody destruction and conquest of their garrisoned province Canaan by Israelites fleeing from Egypt. - Reply to this comment

Jesus used a lot of poetical figures of speech like that. That"s not the same thing as saying he was God.
He said, "For the Father is greater than I." He said that more than once. He said "If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. But the Father, who is greater than I, glorifies me." (Quoted from memory)
You must be a real literalist to see claims of Godhead in those poetic figures of speech.
You must be the kind of guy who calls Animal Control every time someone tells you, "Man, it"s raining cats and dogs out there today !" - Reply to this comment

Buttttt.............you are not THE JUDGE! God is. You may think it unfair, but God has already taken the sentence in your place if you will accept that. If not, then you will be judged according to your deeds and you will be sentenced to an eternity outside of light, love, joy and peace, which is what God is. So, that is why I am telling this. - Reply to this comment
- "God is the one who started the blood sacrifice to cover the sins of man. In the Garden of Eden after Adam sinned in disobedience, an animal, or animals were killed to cover Adam and Eve with the skins. This was the first time blood was shed and it was for the purpose of covering man. God required animal sacrifice of the Israelites until the Messiah, the Sacrificial Lamb of God, came to the earth in the body given to Jesus Christ to be the sin bearer. Tribal people use the blood covenant even now and understand that it is binding."

Nothing but mythology.
Like the Santa Claus myth -- and I don"t doubt that if everyone still believed that one, we"d have a very moral society.

Would these be the same "Tribal people" that the right wing "KKKristians" look upon as "savages", and excuse the slaughter of, by those calling themselves "Christians"? - Reply to this comment
- Anyone who thinks ANY of these losers has any idea how to fix ANY of the enormous problems we face is just being rediculous. Now as aways their solution is to leave it alone, pretend it''s not a problem or blame "liberals" (anyone who won''t agree with me). They are all tired, old and complete failures.

- Human sacrifice, what a barbaric concept, whether it was Isa Bin Yusuf, or the Mayans, or anyone, the superstition of blood sacrifice is a hideous, barbaric waste of life, yet we are told to be happy about it.
Doesn''''t work for me

That''s because you don''t understand blood sacrifice. God is the one who started the blood sacrifice to cover the sins of man. This was the first time blood was shed and it was for the purpose of covering man. If it is an allegory you make with your question, then the answer is it would make me just another of those right wing Nazis who call themselves "christians" but cannot learn their lessons as to what put them in prison in the first place.
If it is not an allegory, then I would say that every person born will die, as everyone has, and I haven''t seen or heard anyone who has escaped their sentence, and I am not being suckered by "pie in the sky by and by". - Reply to this comment
- Iceman, do you understand the phrase "the wages of sin" ? wages is payment. Have you ever sinned? Of course you have......there is no one who hasn''''t except Jesus Christ. Even if you kept the ten commandments and then had an outburst of anger at your wife or kids, you have sinned. Therefore, you deserve death, as does everyone else. Jesus died that death that you owe so you wouldn''''t have to perish. But you must appropriate that by believing it with all your heart."

Shouting at one"s spouse and children is indeed a bad thing to do. One should learn to control onself.
But this is the first time I"ve ever heard the Death Penalty called an appropriate punishment for it.

That isn"t a sin ? To fly off the handle and call a woman a dog ?
