Summit Will Offer Republican Candidates A Chance To Win Over Dissatisfied Constituency
- A new CBS News poll out tonight shows that abortion and gay rights aren''t even among the top four priorities evangelicals want presidential candidates to discuss.
***************************
This is from another article on this page, so maybe the candidates are barking up the wrong evangelical trees. Young evangelicals are starting to care about really Christian values. Like poverty, war, genocide, torture, climate change. I guess the gay-bashers are just going to have to take a back seat. - Reply to this comment

- "fascist america". Posted by ConDumism
You just don''t learn, do ya, boy? Look up fascist on wikipedia - ok! If you look at the definition in wikipedia there are some terms that are used to describe Fascism''''s attibutes. While some of them do fit, some of the key ones don''''t. Here are the ones that don''''t, from my perspective:
Totalitarianism is a term employed by some scientists, especially those in the field of comparative politics, to describe modern regimes in which the state regulates nearly every aspect of public and private behavior.
Statism: A form of government or economic system that involves significant state intervention in personal, social or economic matters.
Collectivism is a term used to describe any moral, political, or social outlook, that stresses human interdependence and the importance of a collective, rather than the importance of separate individuals. Collectivists focus on community and society, and seek to give priority to group goals over individual goals.
Militaristism: hold the view that discipline is the highest social priority, and claim that the development and maintenance of the military ensures national and social order. - Reply to this comment
