I find it very ironical that Gore offered several
million $$ for somebody to come up with an idea on how to control global warming. At one point I came up with a suggestion and posted a blog on his website to
check the mathematical formulation and engineer a process that would use "debarbite", a substance that
if used in a scientific approach could be used around
power/emission plants.
Okay, my point is that I hope he follows up on the idea, rather than be acknowledged for a "publicity
stunt", perhaps so that he can get recognition.I do believe he may want to aspire to be the next president and I have nothing against the man, but now
I really have to question his motives, since at this
point I am really fed up with the political system, &
the people running in 2008. But most important -
If we do not change course on our monetary fiscal
policies, we will have a "fiscal meltdown" - at which point we can forget about "global warming"- for sure
and not have to worry about any more nobel peace prizes.

I am not as up on euro economic policies as I am on those here in the US, but in the case of the US your argument that industrialized nations want to negate cheap foreign labor is not the case in my view.

Industrialists like Bush use cheap foreign labor in two ways to benefit the industrialists:

Fitst, as a cheap labor source to enhance profits, and;

secondly, as a force to drive down wages domestically, also to enhance profits.

The last thing the industrialists want is to see cheap labor go away.
