Funnily enough, if the B-52s were used by Carter on Tehran, we wouldn''t have had to worry about sandstorms. But cowards don''t utilize that kind of force on enemies...

If B-52 were used the hostages would be alive !

Planned as Operation Rice Bowl, the operation was designed as a complex two-night mission. The first stage of the mission involved establishing a small staging site inside Iran itself, near the Tabas in the Yazd Province (formerly in the south of the Khorasan province) of Iran. The site, known as Desert One, was to be used as a temporary airstrip for the C-130 Hercules transport planes and Navy RH-53D Sea Stallion minesweeper helicopters, flown by Marine Corps aircrews, which would undertake the actual rescue operation. After refuelling the helicopters, the plan was for the ground troops to board the helicopters and fly to Desert Two near Tehran. After locating and extracting the hostages from Tehran, the rescuers and rescued would be transported by helicopter to Manzariyeh Air Base outside of Tehran ( [show location on an interactive map] 34058%u203258%u2033N, 50048%u203220%u2033E), where C-141 transports would take them out of the country under the protection of fighter aircraft.

It must be awfully embarrassing for Jimmy Carter to watch another man clean up the mess he made. If I spilled sh$t all over the middle east, I''d want to clean it up myself too.
It also must be frustrating to go from a peanut farmer to serving on a nuclear sub to peanut farmer, to senator, to disgraced President, back to peanut farmer.
This guy is the most intelligent complete failure I''ve ever seen.

keep ranting like a fool and using those run-ons, and I''ll keep laughing, you typical Left Fascist moron.

Probably Randy BoBS or another clown using a false, but in this case, quite appropriate name.

LOL.

Not enough firepower too, Idiotioweign,

You don''t take on a city full of hostile terrorists with a couple of C-130s and choppers. Nor do you eliminate terrorists with one measley missile strike on empty camps - the way of the Democrats and their fascist allies - except when it comes to dealing with pro-American Innocent Serbian women and children...

Then it is time for the B-52s - ask Pervert Bill and Wester Kahane Clark...

Funnily enough, if the B-52s were used by Carter on Tehran, we wouldn''t have had to worry about sandstorms. But cowards don''t utilize that kind of force on enemies...

Oh pleeeze, Lochlan, you are such an idiot.

Yeah, go and blame Prescott Bush - while you are at it, go and blame Joseph Kennedy too. I didn''t care much for Bush Senior as he was a Carter in Republican clothing, but fortunately for us, if not for fascists and islamofascist stooges like you, the son is of a different stripe.

While Carter and Clinton would tolerate Americans being kidnapped or murdered by your oh-so-innocent thugs, Bush doesn''t mind killing them. As for violence, it is coming NOT from Americans but from your friends in Al Sadr and Al Qaeda with the connivance of Iran and Syria. If you had an education or a brain you''d get that.

Meanwhile bozo, do go back to your weed and your copy of "Mein Kampf" - that will probably make you feel better.

Because Carter authorized no fighter or bomber protection, and only a scant group of older C-130s and 8 unreliable choppers, the mission was doomed at the get-go, or might have been wiped out in the streets of Tehran.

Retired Chief of Naval Operations Admiral James L. Holloway III led the official investigation in 1980 into the causes of the failure of the Operation Eagle Claw on behalf of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Holloway Report primarily cited deficiencies in mission planning, command and control, and inter-service operability, and provided a catalyst to reorganize the Department of Defense, and the Goldwater-Nichols Act of 1986. President Carter couldn''t control the weather and sandstorm either !

Draftreid- The only person with connection to the Nazi''s, that I know of, is your lord, almighty Bush. It is well known that Prescott Bush was a Nazi supporter and had ties to the Nazi''s. Kind of interesting that you are demonizing a regime that your lord has proven connections with. Go kiss some more ***, Fvck face.

"we don''''t kill innocents in Iraq" and that is a flat out lie, but your good at that.

glennmike,

glad to shake your hand. He was, and is much more - a coward, bigot, liar, Klan acolyte and Anti-Semite too. I''ll gladly add your comment about him being an idiot, not just a naive fool, to the list as well.

and lochlan, you''re a nazi.

we don''t kill innocents in Iraq, but your friends do a pretty good job, the Al-Sadrists and Qaedists.

Go and join them, you dumb fascist. And keep supporting those who''d slit the throats of innocents because they are soooooo wronged.

As Hitler probably was, in your case.

Draftreid- You are a piece of **** and every ETHICAL American knows it. Don''t you have some innocent families in Iraq to kill, or are you just going to stay the course killing American soldiers. Don''t forget the lie your suppose to say after you hope for more soldiers to die in this war for profit, "support our troops". You are scum.

Let me also be clear about this too.

Delta Force was and still are American heroes. I take nothing away from the late Charlie Beckwith on that, except he should have had additional aircraft, more helicopters, and more firepower including the possible use of tactical nukes to get our people out, and his back safely as well.

Because Carter authorized no fighter or bomber protection, and only a scant group of older C-130s and 8 unreliable choppers, the mission was doomed at the get-go, or might have been wiped out in the streets of Tehran.

Carter was a coward then - and he still is, but worst, he actually supports those who seized our people or who have murdered Americans in the Middle East.

Pure scum - not to mention all of the other things that he is.

I should have added this -

By Carter doing absolutely NOTHING except wringing his hands and crying to Vance and Brezinzski about taking it to the U.N. when our people were seized on Nov. 4, 1979 instead of giving Khomeini 24 hours to release them and then Nuking Tehran if he didn''t on Nov. 5th - Carter NOT only gave aid and comfort to Islamofascists worldwide, he encouraged them as well.

Again - IF there were no Tehran today, more than likely there would NOT be an Al Qaeda or an Ahmedinejedad. But unfortunately America had at the time a "born again muslim", klan acolyte, bigot and coward in the White House instead of a President.

lochlan,

prove that I am a total Bush supporter or am being paid for it. Irish *** is probably paid for walking the streets, and you probably get a check from MoveOn.Org or from David Duke - either way its the same till.

If you don''t, you had better complain to Botox Nancy or Pruneface Reid that you''re being cheated while they collect the big bucks.

Numbskull Ioweign spews again. Oh well, the guy needs an education, so here it is.

By NOT standing firm in supporting the Shah, in providing a "show of force" to the Khomeinites, and then by doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING outside of one half-a%%ed raid that sadly was ill-conceived, planned and lacked the firepower necessary because Carter, Vance and Warren Christopher didn''t want to kill terrorists, a mission that failed, Carter galvanized the anti-American elements in the Middle East.

Furthermore, budding groups like Hamas and Hizbullah were supported by Iran - and even if Osama wasn''t, he took the message in loud and clear. With cowards like Carter, America would NOT react to terror.

Witness too 8 years of Clinton doing nothing while the Qaedist attacks multiplied. After all, for him and his friends, it was a "law enforcement" issue. And yet you Fascist dummies harp on Bush. Pathetic.

Get a life - and stop crying about the Patriot Act and Neo-Cons just because they are much smarter and have more common sense than you will ever have.

I''m a card-carrying wuss, so just being in a cell would be torment for me. But in spite of my own feelings I can still imagine that a court could rule that subjecting a terror suspect to discomfort and pain, e.g., to cold temperatures, was legal up to whatever point injured him cruelly and intentionally. The legal definitions of torture that are accepted in courts worldwide all seem to speak about the intentional infliction of injury.

It may be a wise thing to broaden the definition of torture, but it is a far different thing for Mr. Carter to assert that the US employs torture. He has all the money in the world, a center named after him and the prestige of an ex-president, let him take his claims to US or international courts.

Although I voted for him both times, he was and is a political disaster because of his ineptitude.
