OR, keep inflation down and encourage lower priced goods? Remember, these folks don''''t pay taxes anyway....

Nothing but sales tax, excise tax, FCC taxes, etc. etc. etc.... ad nauseum.

Rudy was a clear winner, poised, and confident, yet charming. He can wipe the floor with Hitlary or Dumbo ears.

"Eight of the candidates support the continuing U.S. military presence in Iraq, but Rep. Ron Paul of Texas drew a loud round of applause when he loudly dissented. Paul posted a surprising $5 million in campaign donations for the three months ending Sept. 30."

I don''t care if you''re republican or democrat, I''m neither, but THIS man stands for America and returning her to values and respectability.

Unless we want to continue to EARN our current, poor reputation throughout the world, we have to put Ron Paul in the white house.

Republican ideas for the economy. Cut taxes and reduce spending. What that really means is .... Cut taxes for the upper 5% of Americans and cut the programs that are needed for the bottom 95%. This is just more of Bush''s stupid economic theory that Paris Hilton can single-handedly spend enough to keep corporate America humming and the U.S. out of recession. Middle America will soon find WalMart to upscale for their incomes.

My only question for Thompson is - How old are you? You looked pasty and close to senile. Your next TV gig should be on Pushing Daisies.

Jack3213, get your facts straight. The Republicans have been in control of the Whitehouse for the past 7 years and the rest of Washington for about the past 11 years with the exception of the past few months. We have the largest deficit in our nations history with them in charge. The only tax cuts have gone to the upper 1%. More jobs have been lost and gone over seas under the Republicans. The imigration problem has increased to unbelevable numbers under their control. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Stop repeating the lies of Hannity and Limpbaugh.

nancy _ niave. Ron Paul has understood and voiced his opinion for some considerable time, he his a breath of fresh air in the infested mire which is Washington. Sadly and simply because he cannot be brought off by the evil barons of corporate America, he will not reach the White House. If he endangered their interest by running real close to success, he will be eliminated one way or another. UNLESS we the people
put a price on the head of those who would prevent his deserved elevation, he will I fear be the best President we Never had. It is up to all honest non partisan democratic Americans to assist Ron Paul in his genuine attempt to sort out the filth in our political system. Let''s give him the opportunity because no one else even shapes up to the task.

All in all a debate worth watching. A far cry from the nonsense we all hear from the Deomcrats. Sure they will argue about who is better at this or that, that is what a debate is. They will smash the smitherenes out of Clinton no matter what opinions are out there today. The fun is about start and the one question you should ask yourself, do you want to pay ALOT more taxes? If yes, vote Democrat, if no, you know the answer.

If you have more than a six figure income, well these guys will tell you everything is just fine.....the stock market is great, the unemployment rate is low, the income levels are up, the GDP is up........BUT, if you live in the real world and have to work for a living you did not have anyone speaking your language.

Thompson looked like he was looking for his Q cards and came across like he had memorized his lines quite well with only a glitch of hesitation here and there.

Ron Paul needs to do his homework on Ethanol and the plight of small farmers. His ideas make a lot of sense but I think he is in the wrong party.

Same tired old drivel from talking heads. Anyone who actually believes one of these clowns can govern this nation, balance our budget and gain back our position in the world is smoking something. I personally am not going to vote for another liar who promises to balance the budget by cutting "Spending". I want to know what they intend to cut and how they intend to ACTUALLY balance that budget. We have kids dying because of "spending cuts" now. We have bridges falling down NOW because of "spending cuts", all so some fat cat can get his taxes cut, to move American Jobs to other nation, which increases our debt and guess who pays the interest on the money they borrow?

Well, the pro-torture/anti-habeas corpus party put on one hell of a debate tonight. I''m guessing it wasn''t a debate held by brown people.

Romney learned quite a bit from his former adviser, Larry Craig. Whatever happens, check with your lawyer first.

The Republican candidates will trip over one another promising yet more tax cuts for the rich, when we are approaching $10 trillion in debt. Republicans are just borrow and spend people that are slowly ruining the country year by year.

It seems to me that these republican tax cuts have only driven our country further into debt at the expense of the majority, while at the same time make the rich richer. And to top it all off, there is another bad actor running for president. How about a professional wrestler? Jesse Ventura, while I respect his common sense and obvious brain power, showed just how big of a joke politics have become. Until we start requiring candidates to prove their ability by taking a test to show that they know what''s really going on, we will be subject to more corporate yes men and bad actors.A simple geography test would have eliminated Bush.

Yawn..
I work but the debates are either pay to view or over when I get home. Are these debates being seen by the larger voting public?

What the heck is up with all these candidates with world trade? Everybody''s talking like its obvious! "Oh, of course we need world trade." Buddy? World trade is the thief in the night! World trade is the barbarian who hates us because some company is robbing him of his natural resources!

Stop free trade! Stop it. These politicians cannot be trusted with all that money.
