Other Candidates Take Shots At Democrats, Romney Spreads The Blame
- Let''s not forget how Mutt Romney dodged the Vietnam draft by having his big Mormon cheese daddy declare him a "minister, priest or rabbi" just because he was going door to door handing out Books of Mormon.
Another chickenhawk who loves war, never saw it, and none of his 5 boys have seen it either. A typical Repugniscum coward like Bushit, Darth, Rummie, Sean Hannity, Bill O''Reilly, and the rest of the big talk crowd--"talk big and carry a little d*ck" is the motto of the "windshield cowboy"! - Reply to this comment
- Some more info on ''Trooper'' Garrity": When the story broke, other allegations came to light, including one in which Garrity allegedly called into a plumbing company pretending to be a Massachusetts state trooper while threatening to issue a citation to one of the company''s drivers. Impersonating a state trooper is illegal in Massachusetts, and Garrity had been fined not long ago while working for then-Governor Romney for having police equipment on a private vehicle, including blue lights and a police baton. Romney on corruption is almost as bad as Rudy/Kerik. - Reply to this comment
- The Repugs held power for 6 years while the Decider-in-Chimp ran the national debt up over 50% while financing his trillion dollar war on a credit card. So much for the "core value" of the lickspittle Repugs of "fiscal responsibility"! Bushit and the Repug party have presided over the biggest giveaway of U.S. tax dollars to billionaires in the history of the U.S.
Mr. Tooth has his work cut out for him if he thinks he can reform this crowd of ******. - Reply to this comment

Clearly you either on payroll or have lost all perspective!
What are your thoughts on the Romney campaign use of falsified law enforcement badges to evade tolls etc., as discussed in teh media and below? His senior staff was identifying himself as ''Trooper'' Garrity to get things done for the campaign? - Reply to this comment
- Mitt is the most viable moderate conservative in the Presidential race and the best qualified to bring new leadership with his vision for America''s future.
Gov. Romney has an impressive resume to showcase. When elected governor in 2002 he assumed a monstrous 3 billion dollar deficit and put the state of Massachusetts back in the black without raising taxes. Mitt Romney also was the first elected leader in American history to bring %u201Chealth insurance%u201D to every citizen in his state of Massachusetts without raising taxes. That%u2019s what a smart business man can bring to ALL Americans if elected to the White House as President.
Mitt also bailed out the U.S. Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002, and turned a $369 million deficit into a profit of $100 million dollars. I have nicknamed Mitt, "the Rominator", for obvious reasons.
Candidate Romney graduated valedictorian in undergrad; then pursued a double degree at Harvard (M.B.A. and law) graduating in the top 5% of his class while doing so.
Mitt has also taken a tough stance on terrorism and wants to expedite the end of US troops in Iraq. In a interview Mitt had with the Associated Press Mitt indicated that he did not want permanent US bases in Iraq.
Romney currently leads all Republican candidates in New Hampshire, Iowa, Michigan, and Nevada and is probably the most qualified candidate to ever run for president. If you want to check Mitt out go to www.mittromney.com - Reply to this comment
- The IG should put thier house in order. Any Congressman or Senator who has been involved in any financial dealings with election funds should be meticulously audited. History is full of corruption, and we only find out long after we have cast our vote.
Literally, an independent SS drilling down on every detail in an electorates financial dealings for the previous 10 years, documenting any and all irregularities should be disclosed to the General Public before we are asked to vote for that person.
On top of that, any of them who are involved with any company involved in any legislation put before them should recluse themselves by requirement of law from any political action in those situations. If all a lawmaker is allowed to do is to make laws, forbidden to pander favors for the personal gain of any individual or corporation, but solely for the good of the People of the "entire" USA, then we would see a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. - Reply to this comment

- From the Hearld on the Romney campaign corruption (badgescam) referenced below: "The campaign source said the badges were used extensively by Garrity and staffers on Romney''s advance team, which is responsible for coordinating events for his presidential campaign. Sometimes, the source said, a staffer would use a badge for crowd control to restrict access to Romney. Other times, they were flashed to gain quick access to emergency exits and back hallways at campaign venues. In at least one instance, a staffer used a badge to go through a Massachusetts Turnpike toll booth without paying, the source said. In addition to Garrity, other aides who used the badges included advance staffers Mark Glanville and William Ritter, the source said. "
Romney is a failed one term governor who would not be reelected in his own state.
He will continue to say and do anything to try to get elected.
This will be the most expensive vanity campaign in history! - Reply to this comment
- See cnn and Freep for more info on Jay Garity, a senior Romney campaign staffer and longtime aid while Romney was governor.
As part of the Romney campaign, Garity fabricated an ''official'' law enforcement badge. He and other staffers then impersonated a law enforcement agents. Fake police lights, too. Boston Globe: http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2007/06/22/romney_aide_is_the_focus_of_probe/ and from FreeP: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1869453/posts
I would think this is a campaign killer...
It is (1) a serious crime, (2) done by a senior long time staffer, (3) for the benefit of the campaign, (4) that was widely known within the campaign. Did the campaign pay for the badges? How come no anti-corruption statement from Mitt?
I did read that Garrity was ''put on leave'' or maybe ''asked to leave'' the campaign.
Great follow-up article for some investigative reporter (if such a thing still exists): make some calls and find out: is Garrity back with the campaign? What is the status of the various state prosecutions of Garrity? If he is back, did he really take leave of absence (or just get paid to work at home for a week or two)?
A very good test case of actual corruption and how it was handled in the Romney campaign.. - Reply to this comment
- Finally Romney says something I agree with- the GOP needs to gets it''s own ****** in order.

- After the last 6 plus years, anyone who would even concider voting for any of the GOP are out of their minds. They can''t govern PERIOD, they can''t win without Wedge issues which makes governing almost impossible. This nation can not take anymore of their incompetence and stupidity. Fear is all they have to sell while they sit by and watch the nation fall apart. Sieg Heil Bush!!

- Well, McCain has no credibility and neither does Gingrich...
While I''d like to see Michael Bloomberg run, Mitt is starting to look promising. I like the idea of being able to take charge of my own life; especially if I can get a job whose wages make taking charge easy to do. And to do that, it''s by using one''s creativity.
Oh, Al Quaeda isn''t imaginary. They''ve attacked the US (the WTC in 1993) and these days they''re having a blast (literally) in the Middle East and Europe. Even India and Pakistan, as I recall, are being hit. China is the "lucky" one to date for not having been hit. - Reply to this comment
- Romney ~ WHY haven''t we heard any condemnation for the Blackwater situation from the GOP? Does the GOP excuse the company for selling arms to the enemy? or is it just the cost of doing business? Funny that the GOP is more disgusted about an ad than they are about selling the arms that kills our servicemen.

- "A republican phony" -- isn''t that redundant? I never met a repuglican who didn''t lie, either to himself or to everyone else. Bush Sr. did it for money. Bush Jr. does it for treats. What a good boy he is!

- We all realize that nobody with a political future wants to be at the top of a Republican ticket that will probably be trounced in November, but surely the party of Teddy Roosevelt and Abe Lincoln can do better than the posturers and clowns who now have their hat in the ring. The Republicans have some honorable, consistent, semi-sane politicians. Give the voters a choice, Republicans. Draft one of them.

- This is rich, McCain--a security risk if there ever was one, having been under the discipline of opposing forces for years--has no business dealing with classified materials or subjects. He''s the weaselly Keating Five son of a weaselly admiral who ''married the mobster''s daughter'' and won a ride in the fast lane to political prominence.
Romney''s father came out of the same intel gaggle that first dumped Gerry Ford on the political scene in Michigan as a ''reform'' candidate for the House when the Michigan Old Guard politics got too ripe even for the noses of the Vandenburg leadership. You might as well stay home in November 2008 as go to the polls and vote for the Democratic or Republican mainstream candidates.
Thompson is one of those responsible for the S&L debacle...Giuliani...well, if you can''t smell the corruption there, you can go snorkeling in one of North Carolina''s many fine hog lagoons without smelling a thing. - Reply to this comment
